I had the most amazing Hida Gyu-Katsu here. They use A5 Hida Beef and it's absolutely perfectly cooked. The meat is super tender and the batter is thin and light, but still quite crunchy and tasty. The rest of the set was delicious too and I was extremely full by the end. We also got the Miso Katsu Don as a cheaper option and it was also very worth. The pork was very tender and fatty and well sauced with the Miso sauce. Overall I strongly recommend Juraku for lunch. For an A5 Gyu-Katsu it's actually pretty reasonably priced and the rest of the experience is pretty good.

Wow 10/10 such an amazing spot! We had the hida beef steak set, hida beef katsu set and the pork cutlet and every single dish was so good! They used such fresh ingredients from the local area and used amazing Hida Beef and Hida Pork for the dishes! The restaurant is run by an cute old couple and they are so humble and sweet! The food was good the ambience was great and service was amazing! The cutlet was perfectly cooked and not too oily! The hida beef is so juicy and is worth trying! The restaurant is small and the couple doesn’t speak too much english so I recommend going earlier at 11 when they open before the lunch crowd comes in 10/10

Nice great dinner, fresh fish, great beef. Slightly sweet, but very tender and melts in your mouth.

It’s incredible how many restaurants are operated by husbands and wives in this town for decades. It’s for sure like a family restaurant specializing Hida beef dishes. We order both stirred fried and deep fried, equally good in their own senses. The only downside, rice could have been cooked better.

Attentive service and great food. Please order the most expensive set as you get the best cut of the beef! Even the sashimi was superb here which you won't expect in a restaurant that specialises in Hida beef.

So tasty ! I went for the Hida cutlet dish and it’s absolutely delicious, parents had the beef bowl and it was very nice though not as good as the cutlet 😉 very nice soup and a relaxed atmosphere - fairly brusque lady serving us but polite enough and we’re here for the food not to make friends 😂 local beer was very nice!
