Very typical and nice restaurant. Very good prices for different set of noodles. The perfect choice if you fancy something cheap but tasty! Recommended.

Old school joint that serves ok yakisoba & good ramen. Reasonably priced. I paid 1400 yen for both. Patroned by the locals too. Worth a stop if you are looking for a simple meal.

A cheap and tasty place frequented by the locals. You will receive an english menu and then you need to pick it up from the vending machine in the corner. Really straightforward even for non Japanese speakers.

They have one vegetarian option labelled on the english menu which is plain fried noodles. Took the set with rice and soup. The food was ok but more vegetarian options would be appreciated.

Hearty comforting food that tastes good even when I ate it 2hours later (ordered takeaway). I was rushing for a train due to a last minute change of plans that was unexpected. I would not have dinner and I really wanted to try their yakisoba as I would not get another chance. The staff were accommodating enough to rush my order despite me saying it was ok if they couldn't make it and I was happy to retract my order at the start. The service itself really made my day. Thank you so much!

Yaki soba fried noodles recommended by LP guide. very popular amongst both locals and tourists, so prepare to queue for a few mins. I found the noodles was a bit too soft to my liking, not unlike other standard yaki soba in terms of flavor, to be honest; but very generous portion, good value for money. And lovely nostalgic ambiance and friendly service.

Had dinner here as a tourist with my family. The yakisoba tasted great and the Chinese style soup noodle satisfied the carving with hot soup on a cold day outside. The price was great. Too bad they did not have any Hida Beef Noodles or it would have been a fantastic addition to this place. Thumbs up!

Large size meal at reasonable price. First time I’ve tried Yakisoba and enjoyed it, probably have it again when I crave comfort food.

Delicious food and large servings! This restaurant is near takayama station.

It was good. As others have said, it's an incredible value. The food doesn't taste all that great, however the portions are incredibly generous! A < 700 yen large order of yakisoba could easily feed 2 people. Good place to go alone too.

Nice yakisoba and gyoza. Good price. Really nice staff. English menu available

Reviews were mixed so I went in with no expectations. Must say yakisoba was tasty and I liked the feel of the noodles. Fried egg with a soft yolk also just makes everything taste better. Reasonable prices.

The place is good for budget lunch. As others say, I thought the dishes were a bit too salty and nothing special - I tried Yakisoba and most of the time they taste similar anyways. haha But it seems like the place has been run for a long time and popular for locals :) You got to line up a while on weekends!

Offers Japanese and English menu. Staff are efficient and friendly towards tourists and locals. Dishes are affordable too (less than Y1, 000). Tried their yakisoba and gyoza both are average but decent enough to come again. Good place to eat at when most famous restaurants are closed in Takayama on a Monday night

Classic spot for a working class lunch. Nothing fancy. Hearty food at a reasonable price. Order from a machine. Get your own water/tea. Bus your own dishes.

🫤 Don't bother with this place, it is overrated. Parking outside and toilets inside. Seems very clean and the food was actually really good, but the service was slow and at exactly 3pm we were yelled at (and so we're other people), to get out as they were closing. We arrived at 2:15, took 10 minutes...
