If you do just one thing for over 65 years and survive, you have to be pretty good. Simple and nothing overly fancy but delicious without a doubt. Soup is done with wonderful flavor but on the salty side as expected. If you’re in the area do come for a try.

We went there at 4 and it was written that they were in break, so we decided to go back after some time. When we were finally there at 5, they were some people in shop, but they said they were sold out !?

Old school ramen shop. Solid Takayama style ramen are served friendly. There is also variation, check the menu.

Great Takayama ramen. The stock was just right; not too rich and very clean tasting. The large portion is 800 Yen, one of the better prices in Takayama.

Sìmple and good ramen. Family owned business. At a machine you buy a ticket for the desired dish, give it to the lady at the counter and soon thereafter you will get served a hot and soothing bowl of ramen. The best thing to eat after having experienced the autumn festival.

Run by an old couple, unlikely to know English, but they do well and have an English menu too! Very kind to serve you with delicious food. I had a small Ramen with an egg and no meat. It was beyond expectation for the price. ¥400+50. Would definitely recommend anybody who wishes to tatse good Takayama Ramen without the covering touristy things to come have a meal here.. Well worth it :)

Small ramen place run by a friendly couple. Welcoming and homely ambience. Ramen broth extremely deep in flavor without being overwhelming. Truly delicious and authentic local experience.

Old adorable couple preparing ramen. We asked for Takayama Ramen. The flavor of broth was delicate: Chicken and shoyu. I recommend!

Not only the ramen is very tasty but also the multiple options in size (large, regular or small) so you can try different dishes

👍👍 The chashu in the ramen is the thickest i have ever seen (been to some restaurants that serves chashu that is slided thinner than paper), very yummy ramen and great portion. Also the bowl of beef ($350 yen) tasted so good and cucumber dish ($250 yen) is fresh and simple, both are recommended and mu...
