Awesome
Hida
beef
yakiniku
(barbeque)
restaurant.
Very
spacious
and
modern
inside
while
traditional
looking
outside.
Great
prices
too.
I
didn't
know
what
Hida
beef
was
but
it
tasted
so
good
(buttery,
sweet,
tender,
mmm).
I
later
found
that
Hida
beef
is
the
same
grade
as
Kobe
beef!
No
wonder
it
tastes
so
good.
This
is
a
must
try
when
you're
in
Takamaya.
Before
this
meal,
we
(wife
and
I)
tried
Hida
beef
skewers
from
a
street
stall
(old
man's
stall
across
the
intersection
near
this
restaurant)
and
couldn't
believe
the
taste.
We
looked
for
a
restaurant
the
next
night
to
get
it
in
larger
serving
(because
paying
$5
a
skewer
while
standing
outside
in
the
cold
isn't
such
a
great
idea
for
dinner).
We
checked
out
a
few
options
but
settled
on
this
restaurant.
Don't
overlook
this
gem.
Tip:
when
eating
Hida
or
Kobe
beef,
don't
overcook
it.
If
you
are
used
to
medium
well,
cook
it
medium.
Leave
some
pink
then
eat
it.
The
beef
is
amazingly
good.
After
this
experience,
we
tried
3
more
yakiniku's
in
other
cities
(Kyoto
and
Kanazawa)
and,
while
good,
they
don't
come
close
to
Hida
beef
from
this
restaurant.
Yes,
there
were
a
few
servings
of
Kobe
beef
in
there
too.
They
don't
taste
as
good.
