標高2000m雲の上エリアでのキャンプに惹かれ、キャンプしました。晴れたら登山しなくても、素晴らしい夜明け、雲海、夜景が楽しめ、焚き火迄出来ます。一泊2000円と安く、管理棟横ロッヂ三笠で無料シャワー20時迄利用可能。シャンプー、ボディーソープ有。雲の上エリアは第七休憩所がトイレで暖房便座ですが、簡易水洗でウォシュレットではありません。雲の上エリアに炊事場ありますが、水は飲めません。管理棟から持って上がる事。管理棟はウォシュレット水洗。夜間車移動は禁止はされてませんが、マナーを守って。
ただ、以下の理由で初心者キャンパーさんには雲の上エリアは薦めません。対策が必要で出来る人のみ。
1)風が強い。5m/s位は吹きます。ペグはしっかりしたものを準備し、張り綱は必ずする。インナーとフライとどちらもしっかり風対策必要。フライをインナーに単に引っかけるだけでは吹き飛ぶ可能性があります。私は両方ペグ打ちました。
2)県立公園の為、テントの色がベージュ、カーキ、白、黒限定なので、山岳テントのオレンジ、黄色は上に上記カラーのタープで覆う必要有。
3)車でも荷物搬入時はテントサイトまで侵入可能となっていますが、雨でぬかるんでいる場合、スタック、轍が出来るので、出来れば手で運びましょう。距離わずか5-50m程、高低差5m程です。バイクはサイト乗り入れ可。駐車場に近い高台は平らですが、砂利有り。奥は草を刈ったふわふわですが、斜めの傾斜地。風避ける為か、貯水槽壁真横に1ポールテント張ってた方おられました。
4)風が強い事が多く、焚き火が出来ない場合の熱源は必要。ガストーチ着火しない可能性あり。
5)天気が悪く、景色が望めない場合の楽しみ、例えば料理とか、本とかも準備した方が良い。スマホ携帯電波はソフトバンクは4Gアンテナフル4本でした。
6)管理棟や近くのキャンプ場の気温より10℃位低い。防寒対策必要。8月26日で夜10℃でした。カッパ必要。かなりの雨風でトイレ迄、傘は無理な時あり
7)早起きと言うか、天気良ければ3:00位には起きましょう。雲の動きが早く、すぐに晴天→雲が邪魔に。星空が綺麗で、夜が明けていく様は格別です。昼は結構、雲に厚く覆われます。
高速道路から外れ、不便ですが、それだけ自然が残り、迷惑キャンパーが少ないのでは？それとキャンプ場迄(スキー場迄)の道路幅が広く、運転が楽です。名古屋方面からなら、中津川から途中、寝覚めの床など観光し、キャンプ後、松本城、美ヶ原、長野善光寺、東山
魁夷美術館など行くのも良いでしょう。
荒天時は木曾義仲館、木曽の各神社も良いでしょう。
