The
overall
sentiment
I
was
left
after
visiting
the
Rosedale
Conservancy
was
disappointment.
Not
in
the
grounds
-
which
are
beautiful,
well
maintained,
and
in
a
very
nice
area,
but
in
the
patrons
and
employees
of
the
conservancy.
I
was
told
x4
by
3
different
people
that
I
need
to
join
and
pay
for
membership
and
dog
registration
to
be
there,
even
though
I
mentioned
I
had
just
moved
to
the
area
a
week
ago
and
this
was
a
trial
visit
to
check
out
the
grounds
before
I
committed
$200/yr
.
Can
you
imagine
how
it
felt,
as
an
adult,
to
be
policed
by
other
adults
on
my
first
visit.
From
my
vantage
point,
this
wasn't
addressed
as
if
people
were
eager
for
me
to
join
and
become
a
member,
but
expressed
as
if
I
would
consider
skirting
the
system
or
forgetting
membership/registration
fees
now
or
in
the
future.
The
hours
are
extremely
limited
and
seemingly
rigidly
enforced
-
a
woman
walked
around
after
11
am
on
Sunday
and
enforced
the
non-off
leash
hours.
I
didn't
sense
a
lot
of
flexibility
in
the
operations
of
the
place
or
how
they
deal
with
the
hard
working
individuals
who
pay
a
hefty
annual
sum
to
visit
the
conservancy,
especially
considering
the
limited
off
leash
hours
of
7
am
-
2pm
-
10
am
and
4pm
-
6:30pm
When
I
first
arrived,
the
other
patrons
weren't
very
friendly
-the
were
3
other
persons/groups
with
dogs
and
none
of
them
smiled,
said
hello,
or
even
acknowledged
us,
even
when
my
dog
attempted
to
play
with
their
dogs.
I
met
a
couple
on
the
far
side
of
the
conservancy
and
our
dogs
played,
but
their
dog
also
took
my
dogs
toy
and
wouldn't
return
it,
nor
did
the
owner's
get
it
back
for
us.
The
husband
just
said
to
his
wife
"she's
[me]
not
getting
it
back,
so
I
don't
know
why
she's
waiting
around"
-
that
was
their
response
to
their
dog
taking
my
dog's
toy
-
not
only
did
they
not
return
it,
I
was
in
the
wrong
for
expecting
it
to
be
returned?!.
It's
a
tennis
ball,
so
losing
the
toy
in
itself
wasn't
a
problem
-
this
happens,
it
was
the
owner's
attitude/patron
of
the
conservancy
that
was
the
problem.
I
had
really
high
hopes
for
this
place,
but
I
can't
in
good
conscience
give
$200
a
year
to
an
establishment
where
I
do
not
feel
welcome
or
respected.
