Beautiful place. Interesting to see how people lived with money at the time versus the miners. The house museum is well preserved, it is clean, orderly and the places that you can or cannot enter are well demarcated. There are bathrooms, they are clean and there is a small, but beautiful and well-kept garden where you can sit and eat something you have brought. The attention of the people who work there is friendly and efficient. Recommended. The bad thing is that there is no possibility for people in wheelchairs to go up to see the second floor.

The museum is closed 💔, it is being prepared by a new company that is doing it and it is estimated that it will only open in March. The park is perfect for receiving visitors.

Interesting history of Chilean coal mining during the industrial revolution of the 19th and 20th centuries and the wealth of Cousiño family in the XIX century

Beautiful place, accompanied by a tourist guide, then a beautiful walk to the Park. Consider time to come. The museum tour takes 1 hour, if done calmly, and the park tour takes at least 2 more hours.

Very nice museum, with easy access, they provide a lot of information about the history of burbot, mainly about the Cousiño family. Historical photos of the former miners and a guide that provides information throughout the museum, some rooms are similar to those filmed in the movie Underground. Only the entrance staff lacks a little empathy with tourists.

What a great story, you learn things that go beyond what is expected about the Causiño family. The only regret is that the space is very small.

Very interesting museum, focusing on the Cousiño family and their Compañía Carbonífera, who owned the nearby Chiflón del Diablo coal mine and broadly all the rest of the City of Lota. I would have liked it more if the focus was a little more broad... But certainly worth the visit anyway.

Very nice historical museum of Lota, they give tours every hour and then you can go to the tour they do in the park next door, where the stories of the Cosuiño family are gathered, all related to the wealth they had at that time. Ideal to learn a little about the history of Chile and its aristocracy.

I think that as Chileans we should not forget history, so as not to make the same mistakes again, the Lota Historical Museum, along with the Devil's Screamer Mine, is an icon that will remind us of the drama and abuse in our history.
