Absolutely loved this place - but probably not everyone would. I like antiques and space and atmosphere. We stayed in Jesse Dupont suite and it was HUGE. Ceilings and windows high, furniture worn and sounds of laughter and talking came through from the game room/library right next door. AC was very cold, hot water in bathroom very hot. Four poster antique bed comfortable, everything very clean, working old phone. Regular key to enter, plenty of hooks, walk-in closet. View of the lawn and water. A working very old elevator to get to second floor, fresh coffee and creamers in the hallway every morning. In spite of Florida July daily thunderstorms and rain we had a fabulous time. Desk receptionists always helpful and friendly. Swimming, boat tours (cost extra) and restaurant, gift shop, snack bar, bike and hiking trails and picnic tables all within walking distance so we never left the park in four days!

Beautiful Spanish mission style lodge in an amazing natural setting. Spotted a huge gator on our evening stroll by the spring. To top it off, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is excellent and the staff all make you feel welcome and right at home. We went for my husband's birthday and absolutely loved it.

My family and I decided to head north from Clearwater to avoid Hurricane Ian. Our original hotel messed up big and over booked the hotel so we were left completely stranded. We looked up the nearest hotel in hopes that we weren't going to be hunting for a room all night with 2 babies in the car. We were absolutely saved by the The Lodge Hotel. My wife and I are big outdoors people and were completely blown away by this hotel. The hotel is on a 6000 acre state park. They have boat tours, hiking a playground for the kids and much more. The old school vibe of the hotel was so cool. The first hotel messing up was such a blessing. If they hadn't overbooked we would have never found this absolute beautiful Gem in Wakulla. We were so stressed about the hurricane but the staff made us feel so welcomed. They turned our worries into a relaxed vacation. We will absolutely be returning to this amazing hotel.

There were only a few tables taken. Most tables vacant. Why not seat your guest in the best seats available.. All tables were placed on the columns between the windows no view of the water. Suggestion, place the tables under the chandeliers which are in front of the windows. For all rows. Even when we left there were window/water views. Food, the lodge burger was very good, great brioche bun and burger. Plate looked empty with only a burger on it, and fries served in a basket, why- not the best perception or appearance. Same with the chicken entree. Club sandwich had no cheese and two pieces of bread vs 3 for a club. The waitress did me a slice of cheese. My days needed another minute or two in the fryer, not quite cooked all of the way. When I return, I would but I would try again. Maybe someone will take the suggestion I made of moving the tables. Staff was very nice and service was good. Jon

This was absolutely the best vacation!! Total relaxation in a quiet peaceful setting. The grounds are clean, rooms and lodge are clean, swimming area is clean, food was excellent in the restaurant and snack bar. Everyone was kind and customer service was great!! The boat tour was wonderful and our young captain was great, very knowledgeable!! I wish I could remember his name! Our boat tour was 9:40 on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Thank you for a great vacation!!

Really a nice place to spend some quality time. Nice restaurant, wonderful boat tour of the Springs. You see many species of birds, many alligators and Manatees. Our tour guide/boat captain was entertaining and enthusiastic about his job. Very enjoyable experience!

It’s so charmingβ€”old Florida at its finest! This stately β€˜lodge’ has an elegance from another era that they have well preserved. I actually shed a tear when I looked up from my book to see the beautiful hall and hear the pianist fill the space as I ate fried catfish. I thought, life is good.

We ate in the dining room enjoyed the lobby of this historic Lodge as well as the gift shop. We found the food in the dining room to be very good. We generally have good experiences at state and national park historic lodges and this was no exception. We did not however stay in any of the rooms.

A 1930s Lodge with a lot of charm. A wonderful place to get away. The service was great all the staff were very friendly. The food in the dining room was very good. It's not a place to go for the party crowd. There are no TVs at the lodge. I would stay there again

Had dinner there. Worst experience. The manager was absolutely the rudest person and gave the worst customer service. The fried chicken was undercooked and bloody. The wine bottle we purchased was brought out already opened and not opened at the table as is supposed to be done. We asked to be seated in the large dining room and were told all table had been reserved. We were relegated to the dingy dining room off to the side. As the dinner progressed it was clear the manager lied to us as no one else sat in the 20+ empty table in the dining room. Do not go here. Save your time and money. Worst experience ever with a manager who barks at the guests and gives no service.

The food in the dining room is absolutely fantastic! Beautiful atmosphere, great cocktails and wonderful service! The shrimp and grits are top tier and my steak was cooked perfectly!

The Lodge at Wakulla Springs is a hidden gem that seamlessly blends culinary excellence with architectural charm. Lunch at the restaurant was a delightful experience, with the staff demonstrating attentiveness and care in addressing allergies and inquiries. The menu showcased a delectable array of options, and the atmosphere enhanced the overall dining enjoyment. The architectural aesthetics of the lodge added to its allure, transporting visitors to a bygone era with its timeless charm. The combination of outstanding service, culinary finesse, and a visually pleasing ambiance makes The Lodge at Wakulla Springs a must-visit destination for those seeking a harmonious blend of history and gastronomic delight.

Super cool place. Due the boat ride -$8 for about a 50 minute round trip. We saw alligators, manatees, all kinds of birds and ducks, great scenery. It is where The Creature From the Black Lagoon and one of the Tarzan movies were filmed.

Beautiful historic hotel with southern charm! The foyer of the lodge is absolutely gorgeous! The ceilings are painted with a mural! The gift shop has lots to offer including coffees and drinks! We didn't get a chance to check out the lodge restaurant but it sure looked good! We happen to stumble upon a mini car show going on in the lot! Very beautiful location with lots to offer!

We both fell in love with the lodge. It is a wonderful venue for weddings. We loved the history about the Lodge. Pictures line hallways throughout the 20th century. We loved our room. It was filled with antiques and hook rugs. Simply cozy, comfortable and enjoyable. Also, immaculate...everywhere!

We had a wonderful time. Comfortable, quiet room, no TV, wifi was available. Great breakfast meals, and the fried shrimp on the dinner menu were the best ever. Beautiful location on the spring inside the state park.

This is the first vacation me and my son have been on together. We had such a great time at the lodge and in the springs. The customer service was amazing!

Fine old hotel in a fantastic location. Very quiet and peaceful for so close to a major city. Good service and restaurant and I am sure their new chef will make it even better. Talking with the staff was delightful because they cared and were interested in making their place better.

Just about everything is excellent: the ambiance; the dining; and the boat ride. One dining disappointment - the beef brisket was tough and mostly fat. Very little lean meat. A regrettable choice. The fried shrimp and mixed vegetables looked excellent. We will know better next time.

What an amazing experience! It feels like we've stepped back in time and are on safari. The swimming hole is gorgeous! Plus, there's a high jump for the thrills. On top of all the natural beauty, the grounds have been maintained fantastically and the staff are wonderful. Thank you!

Staying here was the closest a person can come to time travel. Stepping into the 1920's like the Christopher Reeves movie "Somewhere in Time." Ever evident, the emphasis of quality reminds those who visit, remembrances of a time of manners and culture. The restaurant was delightful. Shrimp and grits, suggested by staff, was delicious. Desert, also chosen by my server, was Banana Swirl, and it was exquisite. I recommend the Lodge at Wakula Springs without hesitation and would go further to say it is a must visit!

A great place for everyone. We packed a cooler and some snacks/drinks to enjoy the day at Wakulla Springs. Hiked the red trail, swam in the spring behind the lodge, enjoyed milkshakes and Italian creme sodas from the shop, and the kids enjoyed the playground. We stayed about four hours and will be back to do/see more

Beautiful, fresh water swimming area. Water is a constant 70ish degrees, so be prepared when you first get in. I highly recommend the boat tour if you haven't done it before!

The Lodge is quaint with great attention to detail in maintaining many of the original building features. The Parlor was amazing with the 70' counter. Food at the Lodge restaurant was very good with great spring views from almost any table. Staff at the Lodge was friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well stocked.

Fabulous art deco era lodge. Even the bathroom fittings are period correct and when did you last use an elevator with 2 doors that you had to operate by hand? The restaurant food is superb Southern classic. No TV in rooms is actually a nice touch, but no fridge is a negative to our thinking. You MUST do the 40min ranger-guided boat trip down the river, starting at the jetty 400yds from the lodg. It's $8 per adult and (we have seen and done a lot over the years) probably the greatest wildlife-watching bargain in North America. We saw a whole family of manatee come right up to the boat, and plenty of snoozing gators on the bank. Incredible birdlife. All expertly explained by the ranger, who kicks off the voyage with a self-penned song while playing his guitar. In terms of value for money, the boat trip is SIX stars. Overall a great place and well off the tourist trail, but you will need Google maps, it is not well signed...

This is a unique property in a lovely physical setting. It is like stepping back in time in a very good way. If you demand tvs in your room and standard motel amenities, this property is not for you. However, if you appreciate a taste of yester year, beautiful architecture and easy access to gorgeous natural surroundings this is a great place. It is also a wonderful bargain. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant as well for two breakfasts and two dinners. The food was excellent, well prepared and presented and the service efficient and friendly. Also, the value was very high. The staff were universally friendly.

I booked through Priceline having no idea where I was booking since I couldn't find a hotel in Tallahassee. What a treat! It's a historic lodge inside a state park. We saw deer and a raccoon family on the drive into the park. It's not a fancy place but clean and true to what it would have been in days past so no microwave, TV or fridge in the rooms. Old school elevator and soda fountain shop. The staff and the food at the lodge restaurant were excellent. You can also take a boat tour to see birds, alligators and manatees up close. You can also snorkel/swim with the manatees. Will definitely go back.

Great stay there. Nice hiking. I would recommend you skip the restaurant. Also...we were there on a hot Saturday.....it was just packed. I'd like to seem them add kayaking as an option.

Cleaning staff did a great job. Nice quick access to hiking trails! Their focus appeared to be on special events. We were unable to have lunch in the dining room because they were short staffed because they also had 3 special events going on. Told to come back T 3 pm. Had to wait for small table in ice cream parlor. Disappointing.

Great place to bring the family! Highly recommend the boat ride! Very reasonable rates for the rooms, but the restaurant is quite pricy. No fridges in the rooms, so bringing your own food is not an option either. Great swimming, and very kid friendly.
