Good food and good price around 9€ for a plate. The service was not super friendly. The room was a bit loud. Kiev Kotelet is really good. The BBQ pork is great. Karja Kelder is the oldest pub in Tallinn. Politicians used to meet there in secret to restore Estonia independence.

We ended up going 2x in one day! For lunch, we both had the chicken Kiev. They rolled a chicken fillet, not just ground chicken like many places. It was cooked well and flavorful. With it, we had garlic potatoes, which were great. The second visit, were had ham and cheese ball's and potato peels, both were very tasty! It's a nice, relaxed atmosphere for locals. Although it's right in old town, it had a really quiet, laid back, atmosphere. One bathroom for the ladies, but it's clean.

Legendary cellar pub restaurant in the heart of the Old Town of Tallinn. Service was restrained yet polite. The snack platter was tasty, especially the garlic bread. The pork neck was cooked really well, tender and delicious.

Amazingly is a tourist place with affordable prices and a reasonable quality. We ordered several dishes and all of them achieved our expectations, the burgers are really good them are 6€ for example, and a cheese plate is 3.5€ The only issue we had there is that the waiter doesn’t know English at all, so we needed to act a little to be understood :-)

A lovely basement pub with an old-time feel. Apparently not many people have found this, because often the place is completely empty. The place could be better advertised on the street at the entrance. The customer service was pretty bland. There were two women behind the bar counter who didn't say much more than a couple of words. No smile, no nothing. You could invest in customer service, so maybe more customers would come. Nice looking place though.

Nice restaurant on the basement floor. Not very outstanding at the entrance but really spacious when you get in downstairs. We had dinner for two people and we enjoy the meal very much. Prices not very high except for the beers that are overpriced all around Estonia. The staff was very kind. We would repeat this restaaurant if we return to Tallin. Congrats!! To the owner: I would say Restaurant & Pub on the establishment description in google. When looking for restaurants in google sometimes it doesn't show up if it is only a pub.

Very nice pub, where it seems you can always find a table. Prices are best in the area, good quality food and drinks.

Great garlic rye bread and reasonably priced beer (around 5 EUR) in the oldest pub in Tallinn. Excellent and friendly service. Ordered also some tasty Pina Coladas (7.50 EUR each) to celebrate Käärijä upcoming Eurovision 2023 success - Cha Cha Cha!

Perinteinen Karja Kellari, suomalaisten suosima jo vuosikymmenet. Tänä päivänä ruoka on kyllä tosi hyvää. Pihveillä on kokoa ja lisukkeet maistuvat. Palvelu toki ihan ok virolaiseen tyyliin, eli ei mitään nuoleskelua. Kiva täällä on syÜdä taas!

Well, if they want to sell bottled water and explain that you can't drink tap water in Tallinn old town, I would not preciate that. Would you? Garlic bread really nice anyways.

Kaikin puolin mukava kokemus.

It's your run of the mill brewery style pub, but I believe it is privately owned. Reasonable priced beer 4€ and plenty of room. The music is not to loud they have football on the TV and good cloth on the pool table. So as a traditional pub, it ticks all the right boxes.

Great that this place has re-opened. Prices are extremely good and service and food are great (even better than before closing) This has been my pilgrimage place for years! Best value for your money especially in old town.

Thanks s is a most pleasant restaurant experience and environment at the heart of Tallinn Old Town. This clean and nice restaurant locates underground thirty feet (?) under. Unfortunately, that means it is not suitable for disabled. There are good local drinks (like honey beer) on tap and even more in bottles. Also, the are menus for food, coctails and shots, at least. Keep this restaurant in mind if you want to have a pieceful meal or drink Staff is most friendly and speaks at least fluent English. Btw, there is WiFi behind a passcode.

A tasty plate of food and a large beer for €10?

First of all - it took us about an hour ro receive our soup and cold herring. Solyanka was ok but you'll find the same at any random truckstop. Oh and extremely annoying choice of music all over. I'd rather stay away, but if you're looking for a non-adventurous experience, have fun.

Nice and atmospheric cellar restaurant in Tallinn old town. Great place to grab a beer and something salty (or sweet) to go with it. The price level is very moderate compared to other places in the area. It is not a fine dining restaurant but more of a pub. They also show sports on tv so it is a great place to watch skiing or football etc. If you have trouble with stairs I would not recommend this place.

Good place to eat or drink in Tallin. Hidden in a basement next to the town hall. The service was perfect and the staff really polite. We enjoyed our meal a lot. Thanks!

We have been visiting the restaurant since 1995. Never let down! Persistent values in a changing restaurant scene.

Compared to other places in old town, this one has good prices. So if you want to have a drink but don't spent too much money, this might be the place. Food is ok, but you can find better food in other (more expensive) places.
