A nice place with the best gin tonics in the area and great tapas. But be advised to NEVER order the house wine - the world has yet to see a more atrocious drink than that unholy beverage.

Tallinn needed a proper gin bar for a long long time. If you want to find a good gin selection in a good, stylish bar, this is the place. And not only gin, there is also wine, cheese, olives. Super solid for catching up with friends or a date. When I want proper gin tonic, I'll go there. The telliskivi area in Tallinn has only to gain with more places like this.

Great selection of gin (local and international) and knowledgeable staff. Very good music and vibe in general. However 40ml of spirit in a large wine glass (with 200ml tonic) is a bit optimistic (hence the four star). Make 60ml standard for Pete’s sake, we are adults. Will definitely drink here again!

Shvips has a mojo - it's strictly nice drinks and basic snacks - no food, no tourists, no basic beer. The waitstaff are friendly, but not overly so. They know what they sell - can say a few words about the wines. The terrace is basic and a bit too close to traffic, but on a nice day, usable.

The bar is located in the close vicinity of Telliskivi quarters. It is quite easy to find, because it faces the main street. It takes roughly 10 minutes to reach the place by foot from the central railway station. The choice of wine in bottles is excellent. Several wine making regions are represented: France, Spain, Italy, Germany, New World. Choice of wines to be served in glasses is considerably smaller. Despite the fact that this is first and foremost a wine bar, they have a decent choice of whiskey / whisky / bourbon and sparkling wine. The choice of snacks is quite typical for this kind bar: olives, cheese, dried tomatoes, etc. The place is not particularly cheap, but calling it expensive would be an overstatement. The staff is qualified, friendly and is always there to help you make the right choice.
