Pancake house

👍👍 It is a cute, generous portioned crêpe shop. By the way, in Estonia, they call crepes pancakes, so don't be surprised:-) When you want pancakes, they bring crepes. We tried it with banana, raspberry, and a savoury mushroom one. All of them were quite delicious and huge. We had a hard time finishing... People often mention pancakes, good, pancake, great, delicious, huge, visit, tasty, portions, sweet,

They also charge 1€ for a jug of tap water.

We found this pancake restaurant from the highly rated Google reviews, and despite the 'standard pub setup' of the restaurant, the pancakes are a 6/5!! No joke! We went twice in the same day because they were that amazing!! The first visit we had tried the Cherries and Coconut Cream pancake, and the Fig Jam and Brie Cheese pancake. Both were huge in size and tasted amazing. We loves it so much we went back 2.5 hours later and tried 2 savoury pancakes. We had the Tomato, Feta, Pesto pancake, and the Button Mushroom and Blue Cheese pancake, and again both were absolutely delightful. You won't be disappointed with the taste. The price is also on the cheaper side for the size of the meal you get.

Delicious crepes!! I had the bacon and cheese and it was delicious!! Great flavor and a huge portion. The ham and cheese one was good too!! Nice open seating area. Good beer selection. Very low cost Note...you have to order at the bar.

According to prices, you can eat so much and not overpay for the food, because it really is tasty and pretty big portions. This place usually is full of people but you can find a spot anyways. They bring you meals fast, always happy and positive attitude.

Pub Kompressor is located in the old town of Tallinn. It is very packed and seems to actually be known among locals, thus not many tourists are there. You need to order & pay at the bar and then will be served at your table. That is actually quite practical! The prices are very reasonable and also the portion sizes are big. Overall, the food is super tasty. My personal favorite was the dip, which is yoghurt and garlic based!

A well-known place among locals that offers a great variety of pancakes. Perfect place for a lazy morning. They have savory as well as sweet pancakes, but the portions are quite big so pick one. 😉 Prices are reasonable as well. Since the place is quite popular, it may get easily filled but not a big problem since the service is very fast.

It was an amazing experience in Tallin for me! The portions are huge- so the crepes aren't just a dessert but rather a good and plentiful lunch. I loved and can recommend the halva and cottage cheese creme crepe with cherries and powdered sugar! It was a hit! The savory crepe with shrimps also was great (my sister didn't like it because of the sour cream based sauce since she doesn't like dairy, so be aware of that). We got really lucky to not wait in line to order, but the place got pretty crowded afterwards. The staff was super kind and nice and the service was quick, our dishes were ready in under 10 minutes! Definitely recommend this place when in Tallin!

'Been going here for years now, every time I visit Tallinn. Not much has changed, the food is still as good as ever and always good value. You may have to wait for a table sometimes, but the wait is worth it. Great place for a relaxing afternoon drink and the best pancakes!!

A pleasant place to eat a hearty meal and drink beer. The prices are excellent, the service is polite. I recommend taking soup (usually a choice of 4 different ones) and a pancake for the second. Everything is very tasty. Whenever I come to Tallinn, I always go to this place. It is located in the old town, almost in the very center. I highly recommend it.

Excellent place to grab a cheap bite. For a price of 6-7 EUR you will get huge pancake with filling (meat, vegetables, fruits, you name it), also soft beverages are not expensive, 0,5L of orange juice 2,50 EUR. You wait in line, order at the bar, find empty table and wait for lovely ladies to bring your food. Good for children and adults, highly recommended.

Book your table in advance if you can, or you can try your luck just walk in. The menu is huge with so many options, pricing at around 7€ each. I had chantarelle salad and pancake with strawberry jam and ice cream. Both were magnificent. You’ll feel so full you can’t move, but still yearning for more 🤤

Excellent example of tourist trap. Restaurant/bistro is maybe bit cheaper than other overpriced city center tourist traps, but it's not good anyway. During our visit there were only Mexican, Chinese or Indian tourists/students, who have no idea what is real cooked good food. Pancakes is just cheap and lazy idea how to make enormous profit on 'food' without value. Thick dough and little filling inside. Filling made of cheap ingredients and it's tasteless. We have pancakes of similar quality in our capital, aim on students and elderlies and it's more tasty. And price for one pancake isn't 6-7€, but 0,5-1€ per pancake, which is extreme difference. Only reason why I give this place 2 stars was decent Seljanka soup and friendly staff. Sweet pancake was blend, boring and too sweet. I absolutely don't recommend this place to tourists, or somebody who wants to try good local cousins with good price. You get cheap thick international pancake that only make you feel uncomfortably full and you pay a lot. I have visit around 20 restaurants during the trip across Estonia and this one was second worst. Most of my reviews are 4 or 5 stars, but here I can't. Sorry

A place that is easy to be missed, but it really worth to try it. It a has an easy-going, pub atmosphere. Pancakes are huge, literally a whole meal. They're also tasty just as the soups. We tried solyanka and mushroom soup. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable.

Very good price and very good pancakes. They are huge and also don’t miss the fried cheese balls! They are really delicious. Even though the place is in Old Town, it has a lot of locals, worth the visit for sure!

📍Very famous place among locals and tourists, in the Old town not far from Rajekoja platz 🖼plain interior with interesting paintings on the walls, no idea how frogs are connected to pancakes, but still cool 👧orders are accepted at the counter, and usually you have to wait at least 15 mins, but waiters are very fast and attentive 🥞 Pancakes are delicious, with a large variety of fillings 💶considering the size of the pancakes, the price is good enough. ⭐love visiting this place again and again

Pancakes are good, no doubt about that. Not too much of a choice, tho. The inventory has seen better years, as well as the bathroom. The staff wasn't that great, we had a feeling they just wanted us to pay and get the hell out, so we did just that. Pity, because the place has a great potential, and obviously people like eating there. One smile can make a difference.

Be patient. It takes long time to be seated, and dishes take time as well. But this will be super rewarding. Pancakes are super delicious and I fell in love with the mushroom soup. Enjoy!

If you are in town you must try this place. Nice simple atmosphere with some old soviet style. All the pancakes in the menù are good, I suggest also the soup as entree. Super cheap but super good.

Another of those places highly rated online but pretty average in reality. Yes, the bacon and smoked cheese pancake was large and cost €5,50 but I would not go out of my way for it. Their meal soup, however, was delicious!

Amazing pancakes! Although prices seemed to be a bit expensive, portions and were quite satisfying. I'd strongly recommend sweet pancakes, especially with some ice cream. Moreover their coffee was beyond my expectations. Interior could have been improved a bit. Anyway, would definitely visit again!

The most delicious, fresh meal -- what a pleasant surprise. We started with fried cheese balls with a light garlic sour cream dipping sauce, mushroom soup with a touch of fresh dill and parsley (it also came with a bread basket -- the dark bread was awesome). For our main course, a smoked chicken & feta crepe for him and a ham & brie crepe for me. First time for savory crepes for both of us, and they were divine. All of it was wayyyy too much food for us, surprisingly, but they had takeaway boxes thankfully. Great value and great fare. Thank you!

From the outside you cannot fathom.how great the atmosphere and the food is: very tasty, full plate, relaxed. You are at the bar and the price is very reasonable. Would go back again.

This is an old place at the heart of Tallinn old town. The place is famous for their tasty and huge pancakes and democratic prices. I know this place for at least a decade, nothing changed here since then: the same furniture, the same tasty food, modest prices and a queue waiting to be seated. The restaurant has free WiFi. One can also pay by card here. The interior is spacious, people are seated at large round tables. The place has several bathrooms. The menu is extensive - salads, soups, snacks, but most importantly a long list of pancakes. The pancakes are quite large, so come hungry. The pancakes are sweet or salty - a variety of options, all are tasty. This time we only ordered a couple of drinks and a garlic bread portion, everything was of good quality and arrived fast. Overall it is a great and popular place, friendly atmosphere. If you want to be seated on a weekend, book a table to be sure, however, the queue moves fast.

Since first coming to Estonia in 2014 this has been my favorite restaurant there. Prices remain low and you always know what to expect. Best Pancakes in town, let it be sweet or savory, and definitely great value for very big portions! Always worth the wait, even on very busy days :)

A very cosy local place. I like the atmosphere. The food is at a very affordable pricing. The portions are huge. Highly recommend to visit. For sure will come back 😍

Located in the heart of Old Town. Affordable pancakes and drinks. The portion is enough for one person, so be mindful if you are tempted to buy more. Good thing there were not much people when I paid a visit.

Huge variety of delicious pancakes, savoury and sweet. A great place to visit when in Old Town.

What's not to love. This is a nice bar bang in the center of town, with cheap beer, that does a great selection of pancakes savory and sweet, again very reasonably. Friendly staff to boot.2 meals 2 large beers smidge over 20 euros.(cash is better than card)

  • 5/5 Michael G. 1 year ago on Google
The serving sizes here are enormous!! As someone who always over-orders, it was a mistake this time, as the pancakes are delicious and stuffed to the brim. A quick and cheap place to have a filling lunch, I recommend the beef and pickles pancake. It was delicious!

A friendly pub located just at the entrance of the Old Town. This pub's speciality is their delicious and oversized pancakes. Don't be fooled, if you eat one of these you might want to skip your next meal. They are not only big in size, but also in quality! A great place to eat, drink and socialize.

I have been coming here many years, when i am in Tallinn its a regular stop for some great pancakes. Staff also are friendly enough. The waiting times can be long but its worth it.

  • 5/5 Hannah P. 2 years ago on Google
You cannot go wrong with the savory pancakes. There are enough options for different palates and portions are generous. The pancakes may seem humble at first look but they pack in a lot. Beers/drinks are also on the more affordable side of the scale contrary to its pretty central touristy location. This is a no-brainer must try place in Old Town!

Amazing huge portions, nice variety of fillings for both savoring and sweet blinis. They also have vegetarian options. And great coffee as well. Will definitely be back. Try to be early to avoid long lines!
