👍👍 I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dishes are absolutely amazing. Very creative food and great taste. On top of that, the waitress was insanely helpful and kind (26.12.2021at 1 pm). Will come back to Tallinn again and especially here. People often mention good, restaurant, service, delicious, menu, staff, amazing, nice, great, experience,

I was excited to revisit this restaurant after many years. Unfortunately, both the food and and environment were major letdowns. They had renovated the place and cleaned up the rough side of the property that made this place very unique. Good to note before eating here; most 5-star reviews are before the renovation and menu change.

Overall a good experience but the food did let us down on parts. Starters (tomato with tofumayo and makerell) were really good. Mains were hit and miss. Schnitzel a bit on the dry side and quite sweet, cabbage roll broth was delicious but filing off the cabbage underwhelming. Potato as side was definitely on the mushy and overcooked side. Belgian waffles for dessert took almost 30min to be served and was cold/hard when we got it. The wine list in this place is really top. All bio with lots of natural and biodynamic. Value for money on the wines is also good. Service, while stretched, was very good. Super knowledgeable about all the wines and consistent with wine descriptions. Team is very friendly and welcoming. I would give the place another go but that's because of the amazing team.

Delicious, absolutely delicious food! Everything we had was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group, which showed up without a reservation and it was a fairly big one. We also forgot to let them know that we'll pay separately, but the waiter still agreed to do it separately at the end which was a serious time commitment on their end! Thank you very much for being so accommodating and helpful! Can't recommend enough!

Sometimes you wait, You wait for too long. This is the story, Of me being wrong. I visited Peet Ruut, One year too late. I wish there was a way, To change my faith.. The moment you enter, You feel like you are home. Everything is casual, Local or home grown. Yet, it makes no excuses, On the taste of the dish. With their options, Order what you wish! Their plant based foods, Just take you, enchant you You feel like this is a tour, A tour to take, don't miss.. Don't miss. The smiles on their staff, Just to fall for.. And I did, I'm in love, I am yours, yours.. Fallen for Peet Ruut! An unexpected gem! I went there and had the lucky opportunity to try beetroot dish, eggplant and potatoes. The two first were killers! Honestly, if you try you will miss it from the moment you step outside. Amazing flavour package. The dishes contain ingredients that seem rather based on the season. And they deliver. Unforgettable.

Amazing little restaurant. The menu is outstanding and refreshing. We arrived close to kitchen closing time but they were very accomodating and served us a very nice meal.

It was one the best dinner I have ever eaten in Tallinn. I ordered lamb shank and house’s dessert. It was very delicious and the service was perfect. The prices are reasonable. I recommend it to everyone.

good atmosphere, however the food was quite overpriced- 8-10€ starters for small portions. we also found a hair in the food, had to get it replaced. service was good, but also quite few vegetarian/vegan options. overall was not bad, just overrated.

Gorgeous restaurant that gets pretty busy so if you’re a big group you might want to book ahead. Every dish came with an explanation from my waiter who couldn’t have been more helpful, he even talked to me about the brewery my beer was from. The food was outstanding, well worth a visit if you’re in the city.

The restaurant offers delicious food and boasts a wonderful location in the heart of the city. However, our experience was marred by the portion size of the fish and potatoes we ordered. They were quite small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied and hungry.

We were fortunate enough to find a table without having made a reservation in advance. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. To start off we enjoyed the combination of Smoked mackerel with orange sauce and a Black bread sandwich filled with smoked lamb and smoked cheese. The sandwich was the highlight for us incredibly tasty! Moving on to the course we savored the Smoked trout fillet, from Pähkla Farm accompanied by potato salad and brown butter sauce well as the beef schnitzel served with chanterelle sauce—both dishes were absolutely delightful. Despite being quite satisfied we couldn't resist ordering a waffle for dessert. I highly recommend visiting Peet Ruut for a dining experience!

Good food, a relaxed athmosphere and friendly service. The food could still use some complexity, but all in all very delishious. The drinks in general were not as good as the food, with exception for the home made Limoncello, which was amazing!

This is such an amazing restaurant in Tallinn. The Eggplant was perfect and the ciders excellent. But the star of the show was a salad with fermented peas and pesto. Ask for a later reservation because you will want to linger.

We had high expectations due to previous reviews, however the food simply isn’t that good. It would seem the restaurant thinks it’s offering a fine dining experience when it’s not. The meals don’t seem complete and whilst there are side dishes on offer, no suggestions are made. There are not enough wines available by the glass to be able to pair adequately with the food, and most are €8 per glass. There is a choice of two desserts, one of those being waffles which seemed nothing other than ready-made waffles you buy at a supermarket and pop in the toaster at home. The service is friendly, but disorganised round the edges. I noticed that diners who arrived before us arrived only received their starters after our main courses arrived. I’m sad to say this is over-rated and over-priced, and we wouldn’t return.

We had an absolutely stunning night! Carefree yet professional service. Our favourites were fried aubergines & rhubarb dessert that you CANNOT leave without!!🤤🤤That’s coming from a “rarely-enjoy-desserts-guy”. Thank you guys, will be back! Xx

The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. A delightful combination of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The highlight of the menu was their deep fried eggplant in hoisin sauce, simply mind-blowing. Tomato consommé and lamb meatballs are also an excellent and delicious choice. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere - always warm and welcoming. Will keep coming back.

Great place in Old Town Tallinn. Food was very good. Great taste and texture combination and cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. We enjoyed the signature aubergine starter and had the cauliflower and cabbage for main. We didn’t know that we would require sides so our dished looked a little sad - would be worthwhile to mention from the waiters. Would definitely come back though.

Nice place to eat in Old Town. The food was excellent and the service was really good. The hostess took the time to explain every dish and answered all of our questions regarding drinks. Everything is locally sourced or made in house. I appreciate this type of restaurant where they take pride in sourcing local and making good food.

We went here at the recommendation of a local and were not disappointed. The food was really good (and had a selection for vegetarians too), the service was great and so was the wine! Cute place as well :)

Cool restaurant with a laid-back vibe and a compact & delicious menu. Deep-fried eggplant dish is a standout - it was the best I've ever had! The texture was perfectly crispy on the outside, and the eggplant inside was cooked to perfection, with a rich and savory flavor that was simply divine. 5/5

From outside, this place might seem small, but it’s actually quite big place - through 3 floors. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is good. The food, however… 🙁 We started off from the organic carrot with hummus, goat cheese and sage. I enjoyed the experience, some new flavours and the sage leaves were nice touch&my favourite part of the dish. Carrots were a bit too burnt, but I didnt mind that. Black sourdough bread was delicious, but the hummus on side was too bland for my flavour. Some herbs could’ve added the final touch to it. Sadly, Crispy organic chicken with Belgian waffle, pickles & chilli mayo was one of the worst foods I’ve eaten in a long time. Not restaurant qualty for sure. The chicken is deep fried & sauce is poured on top of it. Part of the waffel was too crispy to cut and the other part of it got very soggy under the chicken/sauce. The flavours are bland and you can barely taste any chilli.

The chef must be some kind of genius, an amazing combination of flavours and just the right size portions. Nothing too heavy, all delicious and perfect, relaxed staff and atmosphere.

Amazing dinner at one of the little gems in the old town. The vibe at Peet ruut is lovely, the food delicious and sometimes surprising. Always fresh with seasonal ingredients. A must try if you like great food 🎉💛

Everything was amazingly delicious with unexpected twists. Very creative, light and delicate taste. It blew our mind and we named it “the simple orchestra”. You should get a starter and a main at least. Also lovely interior design and decoration throughout the restaurant until the bathroom. Friendly and professional service to round up your stay. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely fantastic place. The slow cooked trout was magical, as well as the broth it was served in. Unfortunately didn't have anything else from the menu (yet) but that alone was worth it. Great atmosphere and staff too, recommended!

We had a lovely late lunch! Food and service was excellent. The portion size is a bit small, but the quality of the food matched with the prices. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly. Will definitely visit again!

Quality of food is excellent, the limoncello is also amazing. But. You will not get a full stomach from 2+1 courses. See attached photo for a "main course". That's it 😂 Had to ask for bread or I go to McD afterward.

A cute diner we visited for lunch yesterday. The menu was limited but the food they served was brilliant and limiting the menu has helped them focus on things they're very good at. There's a nice and charming aura to the place with all the old style features. The pricing was in line with other places in Tallinn and the staff were nice. Highly recommended.

Possibly the best Steak I've ever had! We arrived near closing time without a booking at the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us and give us a nice meal! The restaurant was nice and cosy and staff were super friendly and kind. Food was top notch and clean plates were left all round. Will definitely be attending again, next time we are in Tallin! 10/10

After a few other restaurants were fully booked we came by this one by accident. It was the best accident that couldve happened. The food was absolutely incredible and the hospitality was amazing. And all that for a great price. Make sure you try the eggplant!!
