Moon is a very cozy restaurant and the food was tasty! Especially the blinis were super good! I also tasted the small pie for a starter with duck and carrot and it was so delicious. The wines were nice as well. The service was friendly. I will come again!

Lovely food, but waitress could be better. I'm sure he is very new one, because he forget to bring us spoon and bread, check takes long so on. Anyway, he is wuper friendly and nice person, so it will be better! Starters are quite big: two starters are enought as a main.

I'm over the moon about this place... okay, moon means poppy in Estonian. But, I still think this place is great. Maybe not get the pickled appetizers as those are to be eaten with copious amounts of vodka. But, how marvelous is the Chykin Kyiv! Oozing melted butter gorgeousness and crunchiness. It is not the frozen thing you recall from high school dinners... The soup was good and the blini with caviar, also good. But that chicken! Those pureed potatoes... I wanted to fall asleep in their embrace.

Borsch, Kiev kotlet, Napoleon - three courses that are just perfect. This restaurant gives some much pleasure to the Slavic cuisine. A must visit place in Tallinn.

We had a lovely dinner at Moon where we we're lucky enough to get a table even though we dropped in without a reservation. All of our dishes were delicious, the pelmeni, the shrimp as well as the chicken kyiv. The pavlova and pastry we had for dessert were also spot on. Our server was perhaps a tad too hurried to fully match our mood, but not that much that it would have put a damper on our overall experience.

We were so happy to get a booking. We all loved this dining experience so much. I highly recommend the rhubarb dessert wine to be drunk with the Pavlova. It's a fantastic pairing. Thanks to our incredible waitress for this recommendation. I'm from New Zealand the first country to "invent" the Pavlova. I was very impressed with this version. The Lamb knuckle is wonderful. Duck cooked perfectly. Salmon is insanely good. Chicken is out of this world tender. I also enjoyed the shrimps in a bloody Mary sauce. Without fail I will definitely return the next time I come to Tallinn.

Impeccable service The waitress was super nice and gave us a lot of details about the food. We also got a special appetizer celebrating the Independence Day. The food was very high quality tasted amazing, the atmosphere is spot on. Only problem is some of the wine on the wine list is not available in the same year as printed. Hope they fix that in the future.

Dining time: 2023.04.12 20:00 The dining environment is cozy and casual. They sell traditional food range from Ukraine to Siberia. The price is okay and the food is pretty tasty. Although we wait quite a bit for the food. Recommended Siberia dumplings and rye blinis.

The place is very popular, it was busy when we went there on a Saturday night. The waiters were very friendly, professional, attentive & efficient. The food was beautifully presented, decent portion, very balanced flavour & nicely seasoned. We order a beetroot salad starter, a pike fish cake & a duck breast as main. For pudding we ordered a chocolate cake (it's actually a Cheesecake) & a pavlova. Everything was delicious. We are happy with the service & the food. Highly recommended.

High-end restaurant serving Slavic food. We were not impressed by the snacks (mushrooms and pickles) and beetroot orsotto was bland. The butter with bread was also very small for 3 people. However, we liked chicken a la Kiev and aubergine tartare. The drinks and desserts were also nice but overpriced.

The place is beautiful and the food was delicious. We were 2, and we ordered starters to share (sauses and small portions), siberian dumplings (a must), and the chicken a la Kiev (we were not surprised by this, although it was really good and well made). For dessert we had the Napoleon cake, and it was really good.

A place for a fancy meal. Good for couples or groups. Friendly service. Recommend the dumplings and my friends loved their chicken Kiev. The steak tartare needs more egg yolk than the dabs it comes with. Blinis are quite oily, but perhaps the intended style of the region.

A highlight of our Tallinn trip. Very cozy, homey vibe. Service was friendly and quick. The meal was delicious and perfectly prepared. The fish soup starter and venison entree were favorites.

Food was very yummy. Great to try out some Slavic options. Server was very friendly and helpful but the service overall was slow which is the only reason for the deduction. Dinner took us almost 3hrs on a Sunday evening Deer steak and dumplings were our favourites

I expected great things from this place based on the reviews and Michelin mention. Sadly, this was not the case this time. From start to finish the service was... weird. The waitress did not speak good english and mistakenly insulted us a few times by not realizing what she is saying. I'd say it is better not try joking if you cannot speak the language that well. She also poured many times to the table instead of the glass. Probably just inexperienced, but still left a bad taste to our mouths. Food was just not there. Portions were super small for the prices, but nowhere did it mention or someone would say that we need to order two mains and two starters to actually get enough food. Lamb cabbage "roll" was single meatball covered in cabbage? What the actual, it was super small for 22e portion and the taste was not great. Best thing was chicken kiev, so if you must visit take that. Dessert was the best part.

It isn’t the cheapest option to eat in Tallinn however the food is very tasty and portions aren’t small. Special thanks to Harriet for the great service and the recommendations to explore around the town. Highly recommended.

We just had an awesome experience at this restaurant. Wine was very good, the food was amazing, and the service was very friendly and professional. You can very clearly see what they want to accomplish with this restaurant, and it works!

I strongly recommend this place. I was there two times during my visit in Tallin, and the quality of all dishes was outstanding at both visits and portion sizes quite generous. The blinis were amazing. It is not "cheap" (only the vodka is), but worth every cent.

Absolutely amazing. Without a doubt definetely one of the top addresses with an amazing price/value ratio. The kitchen is a very nice mixture of classic russian cuisine with authentic flavors, herbs and spices and modern european influences. Starting with the Pirozhki with carrot and duck stuffing for example. They were very balanced in taste, super nicely spiced and very moist and juicy. The borsch soup tasted very authentic with a ton of fresh herbs and vegetables. Chicken kiev, so juicy with amazing dill butter stuffing and delicious potatoe mash. The duck fillet was perfectly pink from the edge to the middle. Peaches, rocket, parsnip and an amazing Lemon and honey sauce where a perfect pairing. Napoleon for dessert with Lingonberry-foam (super smooth!!) and -Jam was nice as well. They offer a list of various handpicked wines from which i chose a gorgeous Shiraz-Pinotage from south africa which was a good pairing to the food. All in all you can experience and taste the amount of love and detail to work they put in their food. Thank you!

The decor of the restaurant is pretty, the service was very polite, but the food was definitely the highlight. The Siberian dumplings were just amazing. I will go back

A very stylish restaurant. The menu is a nice selection of international kind of cuisine. The service was excellent, but food was a little bit too bland and unexciting. Would love to go back oneday to give it a second try.

We were very lucky to have a chance to visit this restaurant during Tallinn Restaurant Week, and oh my...AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! I don't even remember when was the last time when I liked absolutely everything about the restaurant. Beautiful French/and a little bit of Russian-style interior, kind, professional servicing, and stunning food! Food really was simply divine!

From the very first moment we felt welcome and well cared for by the lovely staff here. A couple of glasses of champagne as an aperitif followed by the vodka plate for an entree, then the white fish and beef tartar - all delicious! Definitely highly recommended. Make sure you take a piece of the Napoleon cake for dessert 😋

Lovely place with really good food. I'm not sure if pearl barley main course dish (which was served cold for some reason) is a good representation of the Russian cuisine but it was also delicious. The fish soup Ukha surpassed my expectations. Also quite good value for a place with table service.
