On a beautiful summer evening, As my road led me through old town. I found an old worn gate behind which everything felt lown. I took my steps to discover a secret garden of a lover. A true lover for the food, as so much is to uncover. The setting was my style peaceful and so vibrant alike. Freeing mind from all revine, a seat in beauty and divine. Their menu is unique to soul, a taste of wonders to take you whole. Do not hesitate, not this time, try something new, go blind. You will experience anew, and that is what is long due Each bite is a burst of taste, of wonder to be embraced. Take the time, enjoy, it is worth every second. It will find its envoi, and you will never forget this evening... This place is a gem. I visited it on a warm summer evening and was sitting outside. The yard is amazing, the staff is warm and welcoming. Their wish to help and assist to make this the best evening of your life is beyond what one could wish. My dishes were very sea oriented, so I took White-fish tartar - A journey through heaven of tastes; and smoked trout - it was so tender, so lovely. I still see those dishes in my dreams weeks later. Their wine options are great and will pair perfectly to the dishes and the evening.

The venue is amazing in the warm season - with a vast garden hidden in a quiet place beneath the wall and a view on the wall towers. The cuisine is of great quality, taste and very intriguing - mix of Estonian and Japanese culinary influences. The only drawback was the service - it wasn't terrible but surely can be improved. Our orders were mixed twice during a single dinner.

Such a cool location! The chef is very creative and exactly knows what flavours complement each other. And he pushes boundaries for sure. Lovely wine selection and excellent service too. We had a fab time with the surprise tasting menu. Thanks to the team!

Vegan options were very limited, food was merely OK - considering the price level that's not good enough. When we were ordering, I asked the waitress to read back what we ordered, but she said that she wrote everything down, so there was no need for that. As expected, some items were indeed forgotten and not prepared. Luckily, she recognized her mistake and the kitchen prioritized the forgotten items, which were quickly brought to the table. Nevertheless, the experience overall was underwhelming and I couldn't understand why this is such a trendy and popular place.

Amazing food within a nice environment (try to get an outside seat neraby the city wall). I would recommend to go for the chef course. They might not tell you upfront what it is, but of course you can let them know what you dislike

Awesome service, awesome food… until we were kicked out of our table while trying to finish dessert. Their “Lee experience” is clearly designed for 2:30-3hrs, but the reservations are made in 2hrs slots. Pity.

The food here is spectacular. Loved the Chawanmushi, lamb neck, cucumber appetiser especially. However there are a couple of items that were problematic. First the drink pours were small and inconsistent (I think our server was more stingy than other servers.) Second we did the Lee menu and they gave us both the same dessert (which is a shortcut to try and get rid of what they had in the kitchen) as opposed to giving us variety. This is quite cheap and shallow. Interestingly, the Lee menu doesn’t save you money so I’d recommend you order a la carte and get what you want and skip the fixed menu.

Service Amazing, atmosphere inviting, cocktails mesmerizing - but let’s talk food… ORIGINAL DISHES YOU HAVE NEVER TASTED BEFORE! Your tastebuds will explode from happiness. I came twice just to try everything on the menu and I am so happy. Also, the staff is amazing and so kind, and very professional/knowledgeable about the dishes. Thank you to Elise, Mirtel, and Oliver for a memorable and wonderful experience ! Although I didn’t have a reservation, I was accommodated with no issues. My favorite dishes were: cucumber, quail, and the tartare! Also desserts are amazing!

Lee Restoran is one magnificent experience. Even just the entrance to the place is breathtaking! Our service was fantastic. Friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, they completely added to the experience. The chef's palette is exquisite and elegant. Very impressive flavors and high quality local ingredients. One of the best places I've eaten at in my life. My heart goes out to you Lee Restoran, it was truly a complete experience.

We had the most outstanding meal here! Interesting and varied menu, nothing over the top but everything incredibly delicious. Portion sizes just exactly right. Prices are very, very reasonable. A real standout!

Fine dining place with very nice looking terrace (if it would have been summer) and also very nice interior with some of the best looking lighting I have seen. Service was great and they did not miss a beat. The food. As this is fine dining and the price for 6 dishes was 70 euros my expectations were high. The starting bread was great but the first appetizer was just too much all over the place, nothing clicked and it was very odd. The next appetizers, okonomiyaki and dumpling were one of the best dishes I have eaten whole year, such a surprising combination to add blood sausage to okonomiyaki. The mains were so unsurprising and secure and still not perfectly executed. Fish and chips and beef with red wine sauce. I just expected something better or if you do something so classic it needs to be perfect. It was not. Dessert was ok, not great. I'd not take the Lee experience, but order things to share from the menu. Appetizers if I could choose. Mains were boring.

Great experience with modern and surprising tastes, but with traditional Estonian foods. Great drinks, too. Friendly poo personnel and waiting times between the courses was good. Especially the fish dishes were great.

Lovely place! Fusion cuisine with Asian touch. The dishes are original and i enjoyed every single one of them. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and friendly. Lovely night and unforgettable evening. I would revisit this restaurant again!

Excellent location, gorgeous interiors, and warm outdoor seating places. The staff were kind. We opted for the Lee Experience (67 euros pp) but only understood then from the waitress' explanation that it was 6 courses out of their regular menu for us to share together. There was, unfortunately, a small bone in our fish portion. Other than that, a chill vibe, louder than my preference, doesn't have quite the fine-dining experience one's looking for in this type of restaurant.

dining time: 2023.04.14 18:30 I have to say this is one of the most satisfied dining experience in Tallinn. Every dishes I tasted are well balance, although at first I am not really interested about their menu, deserve a bib gourmet. Trout dish highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant in Old Town. A bit of walk but definitely worth the trip. Be aware that you have to walk up some stone steps to get to the restaurant. There's a tasting/sharing menu but we opted to do a la carte because we all wanted the fish for a main. The service was great as well. Each server took the time to explain each dish. This added to the overall dining experience. Make sure to try their in-house beers.

We got the Lee experience menu and it was a great concept. The quality of the food, the flavour combinations were excellent. Really a very high quality restaurant. And top customer service

Friendly staff, got a brief introduction of the restaurant and menu when arrived. Waiter knew the sommelier’s wine pairings well, but got little nervous when asked more specifically about the wines. Wine suggestions worked very nicely with the courses. All of the dishes were delicious and there was element of surprise to most of their texture and flavor. Only unpleasant thing was a really rowdy and drunk group of men sitting behind us, couldn’t even focus on our own thoughts.

We had the Lee experience. Very good, servers know lots about what they are serving and seem very passionate. Food was very good.

This place is a gem. Located in a unbelievable courtyard, with trees and coziness. Tables and chairs are perfect, with blankets to fight off cold as night proceeds. The food is really well done here. The appetizers are amazing, specifically the Three layer cheese cake. Main dishes are medium rare with the hint of pink - just perfect - beef and liver correctly done. Atmosphere just loves dates here. Romantic feeling is there easily, really recommend this for anyone. 5/5 must-go, do reservations beforehand!

Wow! Tasting menu is just amazing! Wait for dessert!!

  • 5/5 Tuomas K. 2 years ago on Google
Great place innovative and good food. Only one small minus is that the appetizers and main course came super fast without time to eat previous portion. Then dessert we had to wait quite a long time and immediately after we got the desert they said we need to pay because next reservation is coming. But this was very minor issue and handled with grace.

A beautiful space in the middle of Tallinn with a nice garden. The personnel was very young but friendly. The music was slightly to loud. The wine list was interesting with a lot of chooses. The food was interesting but no taste neither identity. Flavours were blunt and fish tasted like old. Usually pike perch is a delicate fish but was not now To much try and no identify. Need to focus more to taste! Service was good and friendly. Food didn't left any reason to come back or recommending the restaurant further!

The atmosphere of this restaurant during nighttime is really cozy with a great garden to eat outside, and also the opportunity to eat inside in the spacious restaurant. The tasting menu is a "surprise" menu, and you won't know beforehand what dishes you will get. The price for tasting menu (55€) is really good for a michelin-star restaurant and the quality is also great. Although an amazing experience, lacks the wow-factor of five stars. The asparagus deserves 5 stars by itself though.

Excellent! Service was incredible and food was a wonderful experience! We did the tasting and it did not disappoint. Wonderful fish (trout to come back forever for), venison and vegetable dishes. Thankful we had opportunity to dine here.

Amazing local fresh produce food. Our waitress had stunning red hair and she knew the wine menu by heart. We got professional service from her and she went the extra mile to keep us satisfied and happy. Her wine suggestions were perfect and complemented our meal. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for something different. Great outdoor space for summer and a huge inside for cold days.

We had a great time with family at the restaurant. Food is as always tasty, but having taken 4 menus, 2 bottles of wine and coffee, we were for one notified someone stole part of our wine (bottle was at the bar and some clients took it) and for two, we were given a check while we were still having dessert. Then, while finishing wine and coffee, we were asked to liberate the table - basically kicked out. For 320€ check, whereas the second main dish was being delayed by 40 min of wait time, we anticipated better service - not rushed and polite. I don’t think I can convince my family to go back.

Very tasty restaurant with lots of history and a quite modern menu. Personal, friendly service and a casual but elegant atmosphere on the edge of old town. Our favorites were the ceviche (called by another name) and the venison medallions—never had venison so tender!

Local ingredients used to make wonderful dishes. Young and hip service is a delight. The place to enjoy Estonian gourmet food!

Used to be Leib. Rebranded but with continuously creative fusion cuisine with focus on local ingredients. One of the best wine lists in town. Very knowledgeable staff, all sommeliers. You’ll feel well taken care of, in a chill casual way. Recently visited during Tallinn Restaurant Week. Menu went for as little as 20€ for 3 courses.

Interesting and different selection of food. Chef has international background and a lot of the creations are fusion between Estonian and global cuisine. When you want to experience something new I feel it’s a great place to go. They have chef’s surprise menu but that possible to have only when entire group has the same. It made me a bit sad as the preferences of my friend and I were different. But I found enough options from the menu to still enjoy my visit there.

Very good food! We took Lee exprerience with 6 people and it was worth it. Just 39€ per person and 5 meals. Definitely worth it!👌🏽😋

The food in Leib Restoran is excellent! I enjoyed every single dish I ordered. The atmosphere in this restaurant is cozy and relax, and the waiters and waitresses are very friendly and with passion for their work. Definitely recommend!

This place stands out with a great quality of service. Unfortunately, food was very disappointing: bland, boring dishes. Cucumbers with cream cheese and onion oil for 10 euros? I mean… I put this stuff on my breakfast sandwich if I have nothing better to eat…
