During the entire transaction not once would anyone except one younger employee look at me... While I waited for my food to be prepared I witnessed the friendly service bestowed upon other customers just behind me. I have no misconceptions that they will change their stereotypical behavior because of my small thread but I believe they should know that the difference in how they treat customers does not go unnoticed. I will take my money elsewhere.

What a lovely place! We are not vegan but like to try out different styles of food if we get the chance. We both absolutely loved the dished we were served! This was hands down one of the best culinary experienced we had in Tallinn. So even if you are not vegan, check this place out, because you'll also get the most amazing service as well. A must if your a vegan in Tallinn. Would highly recommend booking. We got lucky and got the only unreserved table. The food was soooo good. I had the lemon and white wine risotto. The sauce was delightful! My husband had the vegan burger which he enjoyed despite the small portion of chips. There was a wide range of vegan dessert options we had the oreo cheesecake and rum chocolate ball. This tasted just like a Terry's chocolate orange!! Loved it!

About the only complaint I have is the music which was annoyingly repetitive. If it was more in the background it wouldn't have been so bad. The food was good. There was great black bread. The local beer made with rye was good. The snack platter for two (17.50€) had vegetarian pate, smoked carrot hummus, 2 vegetarian cheeses, muhammara spread, olives, roasted almonds and sourbread toast was very interesting. The summer salad (10€) with fruit and a strawberry vinegrette was excellent. We also had the lentil lasagna (14€) which was okay.

It felt like only the waiter was serving and helping all the guests while a waitress or manager appeared to be talking with one particular table during most of the time we were there.

I ordered a Chickpea beetroot burger with dill mayonnaise and roasted sweet potato. The "steak" tasted too much to onions and it didn´t hold together at all. The red cabbage was super garlic-like, too much of it. Even though I´m a fan of garlic, it overtook all the other flavors. The other flavors were very bland on the other hand too. The sweet potato chips were half raw. Again I´m a fan of crispy food and chips, but mine were just too raw. My food was also half cold when I got it as they served the food from the un-heated plate. Well what can you expect with that price range... The waiter was super though and genuine. The service was fast too. Good and vibrant place to have a drink or two but I wouldn´t count on to much to the food.

If you are looking for a decent place for a romantic date or maybe a birthday dinner for couple this might work out. My girlfriend is vegan so I took her here for her birthday and we both liked the meals although I am not a vegan. Especially the way the meals are served and the rich/pleasant taste they have is a must try. I really liked the seitan and taco filling with the special "pineapple-tasting" sauce. Our total bill was about 60 € with a starter for two, a sparkling wine, a red wine, 2 main course meals and 2 desserts with a tea. The waitress was helpful and nice. They even put a candle on my gf's cake as it was her birthday and I noted this in my reservation. But the menu could be improved by having some pictures next to the meals cause we had a hard time deciding what to eat based on just ingredients :) Btw try their toilet, it is quite nice!

This place ticks all the boxes for all the reasons one might want to eat out in the first place: fantastic food, gracious service, beautiful space, exclusive location. When I stayed in Tallin before I wanted to go after friends recommended the place but they were fully booked so during my next visit I booked a table and I'm so glad I did. The meals were very delicious I never had this good vegan food before. The customer service was also great, the waiter was kind and friendly but not annoyingly talkative. The presentation of the dishes was appealing. If you want to eat here make sure you book a table beforehand the place is quite popular and you don't want to miss this!

Their website says they close at 11 pm. At 9:45 they told me that their kitchen was already closed cos it closes at 10 pm. Not sure if their kitchen is on Central European Time but quite sure I'm not going back.

I ordered the burrito and found it to be one of the best meals I had during our week-long trip to Estonia and Finland - better than the Raindeer! The service was also impeccable! "Arty" took excellent care of us and was a pleasure to chat with! He had an excellent sense of humor, but needs to hit the weights a bit harder in order to pop those corks!

I loved this place, the food is excellent! It’s without a doubt one of the best vegans meals I ever had. The place is small so I would highly recommend so call for a reservation before coming.

Kind of weird because they spell all of the names of their menu items wrong. Just egg is not real egg, it's just egg. Seems like a trick at first, but turns out this place is all vegan. Still pretty good for a meat eating carnivore myself, though. Also, it made my girlfriend hAppy so thanks wildseed, for hurting my credit card and myy bowels, but healing my heart.

This place is awesome. I ordered the pad thai to go and was extremely happy with my decisions. Very delicious and HOT. The staff was super friendly, I'll definitely be back.

I've visited Shizen about five times now. The many options that please both vegans and self proclaimed carnivores keep me coming back time and time again. One of my favorite things in the world is showing yet-to-be vegans how amazing plant based food can be! I've tried most items on their menu by now. The specialty rolls are always a treat, as is the ramen!

Awesome vegetarian place! Not in your primary downtown or eatery nucleus in SF, instead, the places is located off the prime, in a nice quaint neighborhood. You'll be able to find parking, and don't have to avoid humans because there will be privacy for you. Like any vegetarian restaurants, it won't have the same meaty flavor and looking for it won't help. Instead, come to enjoy their variety of vegetables. Any vegetarian restaurant will provide you good health.

This place is close to where we live but we never tried it because it looks like a bit of a dump from the outside...but the friendly staff and great food make up for it. We went on Memorial Weekend so it was busier than usual. Waited about 20 minutes or so. But the food came quick and the food tasted really good especially the chicken chow mein. The General Tso was really good...the only negative is there's more broccoli than the chicken on the plate. We ordered crispy tofu, broccoli beef, chicken chow mein and General Tso chicken.

I normally go to their downtown location, but this one was consistently amazing as well! Ordered the sea bass with string beans and the crispy fragrant chicken. Both are a must try. Even if you’re not vegetarian, these will still blow your mind.

The food is super delicious. My favorite dishes are pumpkin/string beans/tofu in black bean sauce, basil soy chicken/mixed vegetables, and eggplant/sea bass (vegan).

The freshest greens I've had in recent memory. Loved the special harvest salad with candied walnuts, blood oranges and shaved goat cheese. So delicious. I'll be back.

Good beer and kind of a clean dive bar if that makes and sense. All 20 somthing hipster bartenders but all very nice. They even have a Axel Rose look alike cooling the food. Head band and all. Nice local bar.

The disco fries are amazing!!! They had ran out of 2 of the drinks i had wanted to try early in the night, so that was kind of disappointing. But they do have board games and a bunch of cool stuff going on. Will probably be going there again.

Tried this place for the first time and loved it!! Not your typical American Chinese restaurant-- some of these flavours I have not experienced since my time in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. We got to try some unique items-- Vegan Shark Fin Soup, Eggplant with Vegan Sea Bass, and Vegan Braised Spare Ribs with Broccoli. Everything was delicious and actually seemed like excellent quality as well. Everything was cooked and spiced to perfection and the portions were very generous. They have a massive menu so there's something for everyone, even picky eaters! Also all dishes are made without garlic or onion, for those who avoid garlic & onion for spiritual practice. Of course during COVID they aren't during table service, only Take Away but atleast they were kind enough to let us eat our meal at their 1 table available inside. We really appreciated that! Very happy with our experience here and would gladly return.

This place has great ambience and plant based every thing. Tried the cauliflower side for appetizer. It had good taste but I've had more flavorful McNamara. Thai curry and tofu skewer were the entrees. Both were good but the Thai curry was an absolute home run!!

Yummy neighborhood vegan Chinese. Try the fried chicken, special fried rice, tofu and eggplant.

This is our 1st choice Chinese vegetarian restaurant in San Fran. Lots of selections and great flavour. Highly recommended. Fair price, kids friendly as well.

Solid vegetarian Chinese staples. Small operation, clean and cozy interior, relaxed vibe, friendly staff. Can get chilly on a cold day for those sitting near the door. The Kung Pao "chicken" is a tasty treat.

Food was great! The quantities were adequate, enough to feed one person. I came with my non-vegan friends and ate here; they loved it! Food was super tasty and came out of the kitchen very quickly. I loved the service and quality of food!

Best food I had all week in San Francisco. The only bad review I think this place ever got was from someone who thought they serve meat. I too at first was nervous that there was meat because they list fish etc on the menu, but it's all made of soy or some other veg ingredient. They have three menus plus a few secret items that people just seem to know about it. I had a mini wok filled with basil tofu and veggies that came with an "egg" roll, tea, and brown or white rice. They do beautiful hot pots and all sorts of other creations. Best Chinese food that I found so far.

I've enjoyed coming here for several years and found everything to my liking. The decor is kind of weird but I'm paying for good food and service and get both in abundance here. Parking isn't too bad, expect no more than a block or so walk.

One of the best restaurants in Tallinn I've ever been. The pumpkin soup was very tasty. The atmosphere is very romantic and relaxing. The music is very nice. NB! You should book the table before, if you want to have a dinner or supper in this place. Don't take a table near the entrance door.;) It's ok, but location isn't the best one.

The bread was amazing!! Vegan lasagna and zucchini pasta were decent too, pretty good portions. We had beetroot ravioli for a starter, and I wasn’t too impressed by that one. The service was pretty fast and it was cozy inside. No tables outside. I think there was WiFi too. The staff was quite friendly. Overall quite satisfied with experience. Thanks!

Fabulous! Absolutely worth booking ahead to get a table! My lasagna was perfect (and the zucchini-spaghetti pesto salad that came with it!). Do try the bread - it’s better than eating any cake. Cozy, nice music and superb staff!

We had such a lovely experience here! We were lucky to get a table upon walking up at the right moment. Staff was extremely friendly and so patient, spending lots of time explaining all of the food items, where the food comes from and helping us make the right choices! We’ve never experienced a fine dining vegan combination, but everything was so beautiful and tasty we ended up overeating! (Also loved the homemade gluten free chocolate ganache cake)

Do try the cashew cream cheese and walnut cream spreads with the starter palate. Vegan Fish (Tofu) served with dilled potato and garlic cream sauce takes the top mark

Really great restorant, especially if you haven't tried vegan yet and tend to consider vegan dishes as sides 😉 We are a normal family, eating usually meat of all kinds and had the burger, fried cauliflower and Tacos - everybody was really happy if not amazed! Reservation is highly recommended!

My boyfriend surprised me with their takeaway dinner. Beet raviolis were my favorite. Tacos were great too and noodles amazingly flavorful. Tasty and felt healthy, really satisfying combinations.

Really cosy little restaurant, with a delicious menu. Definitely recommend booking in advance as due to the size it is difficult to squeeze you in without one, and is very popular so normally fully booked! Can definitely see why though as food was really good and staff were super friendly. Would definitely eat here again next time we are in Tallinn!

Absolutely love this place, the prices are a bit on the high end but totally worth it. Everything is delicious and the service is very friendly and nice. The only disadvantage is the lightning which is pretty awful for taking pictures, but it doesn't affect the overall experience. More cocktails variety would be great.

What a classy experience! So many places and many people could learn a few things from them! Service was impeccable! On point! Great professionalism, friendly and all the information about the dishes before you even ask! The bread served with my starter was one of the best I have ever tried and I mentioned it to the amazing lady. She packed a whole loaf of it for me to take away. No words!!! Food was delicious. The beetroot ravioli was something else. I thought the lasagna had too much in top of it but the taste and combination of flavours was perfect. The passion fruit cheesecake was ok. Maybe it needed a little bit more of passion fruit. A memorable meal in such a great setting in one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe and the best possible service. I can’t recommend it enough!

On of the best vegan restaurants and restaurants in general that I've been (and I have travelled a lot!). Friendly, attentive, fair, kind, delicious food! The fries were incredibly good, as was the dark chocolate cake. Wow! The grilled pineapple on the burger was very convincing and blending in perfectly as well. Overall a deeply tasteful and pleasant experience. Must go!

What a phenomenal vegan dining experience!! The food, the service, and the atmosphere where all exceptionally unique! Started with the cauliflower Jerusalem soup which was such a palate pleaser. Very satisfying. Next up was a strawberry watermelon salad that activated long dormant taste buds. So refreshing. For entrees we enjoyed a vegan burger and a baked sweet potato with quinoa, guacamole and mango sauce. Out of this world. So many flavors and textures it almost defies description. Very satisfying. The atmosphere was also quite unique with its stone walls and log ceiling. Cannot recommend Vegan Restoran V highly enough. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Tallinn. Be sure to give it a try. You won’t be disappointed but rather will be blown away.

The food is heavenly! I have eaten the best risotto in the world at Vegan V. The place also have great deserts and tasty products to buy home. The staff is lovely and the historical location is beautiful.

Got lucky and was able to get a drop-in table. Beetroot ravioli, one of their most popular dishes was really good. As main course I tried Lemon Risotto with pumpkin and tahini/white wine sauce. The best vegan food I've tried in Tallinn.

Loved the fact this vegan restaurant open years ago, definitely before being vegan was even cool. The staff were friendly but quickly overwhelmed during the lunch hour. I tried the lasagna which was truly beautiful but played down by some rather cheap basic salad. The beetroot ravioli is a wonderful dish but a complete misnomer. The bread was burnt. No point even trying to show up at lunch and dinner time without a reservation; it’s a tiny place so make sure you plan ahead.

Easily the best restaurant in the whole of Tallinn! I’m vegetarian and was worried about the availability of options in Estonia, but this blew my mind. I chose the tofish dish and my friend chose the risotto - both were incredible, with delicious and often locally sourced ingredients. The service was also fantastic - our lovely waitress was so helpful and checked that my dish was peanut-free so I felt comfortable. Tap water was offered with no charge, with a lovely orange and rosemary flavour. The toilet was clean and easily accessible, and the atmosphere was lovely - perfect for a dinner date, catch up with friends, or tourist experience. Lovely outdoor seating and indoors when the rain started and we came inside. Can’t recommend enough!!

Excellent food and friendly staff. Very good price and quality ratio. Nice atmosphere too. My personal favourite is their "Lemon risotto with white wine sauce, warm bean- broccoli salad and crisp jerusalem artichoke" (main course). This is actually one of my favourite food memories at least when it comes to European cuisine. Very harmonious dish both in taste and texture. The risotto was just perfectly creamy and fresh and 'cherry on top' was the crispy artichokes. I do hope this will be on the menu next summer as well. In general, I do recommend to try from their menu dishes that you might not so easily get from other restaurants (or at least not as vegan version). My friend had a burger in the 2nd time and although it was not bad, it was clearly not their forte compared to some of the other wonderful dishes. I recommend to do a reservation beforehand and mention what kind of spot you would like to have (if available).

I don't think I've ever been to a better vegan restaurant. It's so worth the money. You should ask the waitress for recommendations if it's your first time, she nailed it. Everything including the dessert is home-made and they give you explanations of what each dish is made of. Look at the pictures to see what I ate. Couldn't recommend it more

We arrived around 6:30 and they were fully booked, they told us to come back at 8 and luckily we got space. The food it was to die for and price totally affordable for the quality. We order the Cesar salad and a main and we were full. We couldn't get dessert because we could not eat more but definitely I will take dessert for take away. Totally recommended. Is a must if you are vegan, you can't miss this little gem in Tallinn and if you are not vegan you will be amaze of the flavours.

We went there yesterday to celebrate my Boyfriend’s birthday and it was so lovely. Didn’t know the place. My first here in Tallinn. So everything felt so perfect. And after 8 years been vegan to eat a Pavlova was so especial.

My partner and I wanted a little holiday and chose Tallinn because of this restaurant, and it was so very worth it. I cannot begin to explain how damn delicious everything was. After I booked the dates for our holiday, the first thing I did was to book table in the restaurant. I recommend booking a table because it’s likely you won’t be able to get in. The food was the most beautiful food I have ever had. I have been to other amazing vegan restaurants but holy cow the flavours here were just amazing. Only negative I have to say is that you’re located several hundred kilometres and a sea away from me because I would be visiting here frequently if it wasn’t for the travel. I will come back to Tallinn and I will be back eating in V.

The best veggie & vegan restaurant we went to during our Baltic trip, and we dined out EVERY NIGHT in 4 different countries. Ok, I understand you’re checking out the reviews of where to eat next and it feels like I’m repeating what has already been said… seriously this place is INSANE! I mean the street it’s on is stunning, the waiter was such a lovely person and fabulous, made us feel very welcome (I stole the business’ instagram photo of the waiter as he deserves a pay rise but we never got his name!). The food is great! I was obsessed with the beetroot ravioli and the orange meringue dessert! Wow! I will come back just to eat here! This place set the bar too high for other restaurants for the rest of our trip, and they came no where near matching these standards!

2 main courses and 2 home lemonades 43€. Fummetsvan recommends the burger with pineapple. Fantàstic! And remember to eat it with your hands and not with cutlery. Shrimps, pizza and burgers always taste better without fork and knife. We will definetly come back when the french fries will be homemade and crispy. Romantic and comfy local. Don’t miss the roof and the walls: art alive. Open wifi and small but cute toilet. One of the few restaurants that offers us top water like one options of water order. Good for service!!!

By far best dinner experience in Tallinn. Delicious food with cool flavors well presented. The staff is really friendly and the whole atmosphere is great. The prices are too cheap, should definitely be jacked up a little given the quality. I will definitely come back!
