this place was so cool!! you dine in a medieval looking tavern, where all the tables are joined to simulate a great hall! interior is so nicely decorated. and the food was DELICIOUS, we got the fried pork leg (€29) and it was WAY too much for us both, had to takeaway for lunch tomorrow. honey beer was great as well, one of the sweetest beers I’ve ever had and really unique. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND oh and the garlic butter served as a starter with the bread was so good

My wife and I stopped by here for lunch and really enjoyed the location. We ate outside to take in some of the local sights, as it was our first visit. Our two choices of venison stew in a bread bowl and pork roast with mushroom sauce were great choices. We also walked through the restaurant and also noted the fine Cafe attached to it. No matter the weather or choice of dining, this is a great stop. Thanks.

Nice ambiance in the center of Tallinn Old Town. We came here for late dinner. The food were great. The restaurant is serving food till 22.30 and closing at 23. Surprisingly the food came really fast. Friendly lady staff served us who can communicate well in English. I recommend this place

This is another tasty medieval themed restaurant with a building that dates back to the 15th C. We stopped here for lunch and the atmosphere is great, the interior is stunningly designed to fit the city's medieval vibe, and the staff are also dressed to fit the medieval theme. The food was good, though I would recommend the roast chicken, which was excellent. The beef tenderloin was quite thin, and therefore was not as tender as it should really be. The peppercorn sauce is delicious though. Going back, we would double up on the chicken! The honey beer is very tasty and is a must-try!

Great food for a fair price! The pork leg serving it's a good portion, they recommend 2 people but I think it can easily satisfy 3 if you get some side dishes. The breads that they serve as appetizers are sweet/salty and tasty with the garlic creme. Over-all amazing experience, the servers spoke good english :)

A really nice restaurant within old town. The service was excellent, the food tasteful and not to expensive. We didn't have to wait long for the food. We sat inside and the atmosphere was beautiful.

We ordered the pork leg; meat soup and pancakes. Excellent food! The waiter was kind enough to tell us the pork leg is for two, even though the menu didn’t mention the portion size. The atmosphere is great, the waiter constantly came and asked us if everything is fine and if we enjoyed our food. There are a lot of choices you can make bit I definitely recommend this restaurant, top tier food and service!

Beautiful medieval restaurant with attentive service and good eats. Would recommend the spicy beef bourguignon. Visited during the holidays, the Christmas trees were a nice touch!

Wonderful restaurant with excellent, very very tasty food and great drinks. Very atmospheric old place, waitress are very friendly and approachable. They are wearing old style clothes what gives the place more atmosphere and time travel fillings. We loves the place and for sure we come here again!

Beautiful medieval Estonian restaurant serving hearty, delicious food. Staff are friendly and attentive. My husband and I ordered the pork leg (meal for 2) and we think it could easily feed 3 adults or 2 adults, 4 children. It was huge!

Once again, I find myself indulged in another medieval place. I was greeted by the king’s guard on the door, and he showed me my table. The waitress from the village took my order, and she was very friendly. The food was strange, but excellent this time. I enjoyed it very much. Even the utensils looked like they are from the king’s table. The restaurant atmosphere inside feels like you are invited to eat with the king and the elite society members. This place is worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Good but not quite what I expected. When I was preparing my trip, I did some research into the medieval themed restaurants in Tallinn and I eventually settled on Peppersack. I book a table with them for dinner, though I wonder if that's really necessary in January. Aside from a family and a large group, there was no one there. The waiters are all dressed in medieval-style outfits, which adds to the vibe of the place. The menu had a different options that I had never tried before but I ended up choosing the beef stew in a bread bowl and an oven-baked apple. I'll be honest, when the bread bowl came out, I thought it was the oven-baked apple at first. Size-wise, it was rather small at first. As I'm not a big eater, the portion ended up being fine but bigger eaters might wish for more. Taste-wise, there was a spice in there which had me cringe whenever I got it on my tongue. Not sure what it was. Aside from that, it was warm and a little spicy and perfect for a cold January evening. The oven-baked apple was a disappointment, sorry to say. I expected an actual apple right out of the oven, maybe with some ice cream. Instead, I got crepes with some apple inside and cream and berries on the side. While it was tasty, it wasn't at all what I expected. Overall, I'd say it was an okay experience, but I'm not sure if I'd be tempted to go back.

Still in the sunshine in the afternoon (unlike Olde Hansa) and not as expensive. Had Garlic bread with dip (oily but a good basis for a few beers on top) and the Roast Pork with Mash and salad. All good, the service was decent! Come here to have a little bit of a more quiet time than in III Dragon or Olde Hansa.

Delicious food in a rustic, mode oval restaurant with picturesque views of the old town center. Also has a smal takeaway cafe instead.

Would not recommend to other Eastern Asians. It’s not bad, but..just not suitable for us. The environment is lovely, but the price is way too much for the dishes, from my perspective. Maybe it’s just us, we just simply don’t enjoy the meal. But please do try if you’re used to Northern Europe dishes.

Lovely cafe in the center of the old town of Tallinn. Lots of pastries and cakes to choose from. The medieval vibe is very authentic. A cup of coffee and a hot chocolate is a must if you happen to visit peppersack.

The starter was good, different cheeses and delicious honey. The main course was much less under average. The lamb was chewie and should had been heated longer, two hours at least. It's sauce was basic. If I go to a restaurang, food had to be good, that's the reason why customers pay for.

Went for dinner. We didn't have a reservation but it was a Sunday night. It was quite busy so I'd book if you are going on a Friday or Saturday. Lovely old style restaurant. Food was delicious. I had the smoked duck and my husband had the stew served in a bread roll. The waitress was very friendly.

Very thematic restaurant, fitting for Old Town Tallinn. Huge and varied menu offerings. Not the greatest in taste but very enjoyable if you consider the whole experience. The beef stew was nice, the Tallinn coffee was also very rich in flavour but the honey beer was a bit flat.

I arrived in Tallinn early on this Sunday morning and was looking for a place to shelter from the rain and showers. I sought a coffee shop and this was the first one I saw. The welcome was friendly, the cakes looked incredible, the coffee was great and the syrup for the coffee was 'pump what you want!' Amazing. I love the castle theme too. Very nice!

The autumn decoration and the building from outside was very inviting. Mediaval interior is really full of atmosphere and authentic. Candles on wrought iron holders look robust and spot on. Waitresses are dressed in mediaval clothes and conduct themselves in dignified manner. But they wanted to take the plate away from the table a little bit hastily. Soft tasty bread and good herb butter were brought to table in a cute basket. Our lamb was served in a tiny kettle and the potatoes came in a brown paper bag. Lamb stew was very tasty. But from the menu we didn't understand it was going to be stew. The presentation was simple. This dish costed 17€. Considering the deco and atmosphere in this restaurant I find it reasonable. We had a moment of relaxation with tasty lamb stew and mediaval atmosphere. Peppersack is right in the middle of beautiful Old Town of Tallinn.

We had dinner in Peppersack and the overall experience was not bad. The food was delicious (I had duck) but I must say that the portions were small and the prices quite high, especially compared to the amount of food you get. If you are hungry just the main dish won't suffice. The service was a bit awkward, but I've noticed that it seems to be the norm rather than an exception in Tallinn. After we had ordered, the lights suddenly went off in the dining area, but the waiters didn't offer any explanation (nor did anyone apologize) as to why it happened, and we had to eat our dinner in candle light (that's why the picture is so dark). There are very few if any vegetarian options in this restaurant.
