A must visit! 👌🍻 We ducked in for some soup & beer and I'm so glad we did! It's a really cosy environment, the soup was delicious and the waitress was awesome. It's housed inside these ancient medieval monk's tunnels - there is quite a bit of history but it's not too touristy or tacky (sorry Oldenasa😬). It's just lovely, clean, friendly and quality!

Amazing food, great service, and great location! Would highly recommend their Estonian black bread and Estonian pork cutlet. If you have room for dessert, the apple pie with ice cream was very good as well. The restaurant is in an underground tavern which is quite nice and decorated well too (with candles, nice music, and decorations). Overall a very pleasant atmosphere. Food came rather quickly, and waiters were very attentive (checked in on us and when I accidentally forgot my bag, ran outside to find me).

Great dinner spot in the old city center. Service was a little slow, but the friendliness and quality of the dishes made up for it. Food was hearty, good portions, and well cooked. The bread very unique! Come here for great value and to try some local flavors!

Stunning place with an amazing food! The bread they serve is the best bread I've ever had! It's amazing. The place is in basement and it's very cozy and the waiters are really nice, even allowed to charge my phone. Would recommend!

My, or I should say our, experience has been like the others reported. Nice atmosphere, good service, great food. My girlfriend had a with cheese filled chicken meat dish, and I had the salmon. Really nice salad and the baked potatoes with garlic were perfect. The espresso wasn’t great, but not worse than elsewhere.

The food was delicious. I ate the porkchop with sauerkraut. The sauerkraut is made the Estonian way, be aware that it may be different to what you are used to. It was not very busy when we went and service was great. On the other picture, you can see the salmon plate

The waiters were friendly and food was pretty decent. I had the salmon and I'd rate it 5/7. Unfortunately, at the end, a woman high on coke attacked our pregnant friend. Wine was cheap.

Really nice and cozy restaurant. I had filet mignon medium. Slightly towards rare but still very good and friendly staff. Recommended 👌Good quality for the money.

The food was absolutely fantastic, and service the friendliest we had in Estonia so far. Place is very cozy. We had grilled cheese, stuffed pork, soup, garlic bread, goat cheese salad, herring, potato salad, everything was delicious and very beautifully served.

So good I had to come back! My first night in Tallinn I bumped into this gem of a restaurant and I loved it. The homemade bread for starters is amazing. The chicken and the duck are both amazing and the desserts were aswell. I have nothing to complain about as the service was also great. When I'm back in Tallinn, I know where to go again :)

Very nice restaurant, where you can eat outside or inside, underground, in avery nice ambient. Beer is good and with right price, hamburger is good even if took much time to get it (30min) and it was burn on one side, but overal meet and ingredients were good, waitress truly friendly, so experience was overall good but something can be better of course! Very nice position nearby lapides 😍

Very nice place with good service The pot roast was delicious but a bit lean on the meat. The mussels were better than anything we ate in Belgium. Surprisingly good.

My wife and I were staying nearby. We stumbled on it quite by accident. It's a lovely restaurant down to steep a set of stairs. The restaurant was well decorated. We were seated quickly and our waiter attended our table. I had a pork dish and my wife had a chicken dish. We both found our meals to be very tasty, well presented, and certainly of excellent value. Again, some of the best restaurants are those little out of the way family places. If in Tallinn I highly recommend this restaurant

The food was absolutely amazing, the bread also was awesome, average prices, great medieval location right in the centre of Tallinn. Good place if you want to eat typical tasteful Estonian food. Sides are not included in the prices of the main dishes.

Lovely restaurant with best food we had in Tallinn. We had a steak and stuffed chicken. And Mojito was perfectly made. Highly recommended but maybe not for someone with mobility problems due to steps

The appetizers were delicious but the main courses were a disappointment. Plus for big portions, minus for too warm beer. The staff was unexperienced - exactly as someone else also mentioned few months ago.

Jouduimme odottamaan todella kauan pöydässä ennen kuin meiltä tultiin ottamaan tilaus. Alkuruoka oli hyvä, jaoimme seurueen kesken kolme annosta (blinit, juustolautanen ja friteerattu virolainen juusto). Pääruoaksi tilaamani pippuripihvin piti olla medium rare, mutta sain läpikypsän pihvin. Ruokailun aikana henkilökunta ei huomioinut meitä mitenkään. Kukaan ei käynyt kysymässä olemmeko tyytyväisiä ruokaamme, haluaisimmeko lisää juotavaa tai ruokailun lopuksi jälkiruokaa. Seurueesta yksi sai pääruokansa noin 10 minuuttia myöhemmin kuin toiset. Kiva miljöö.

Cozy place with friendly staff. The food was good but you have to order the sides separetly which gives a false impression of the price. The meat tasted good but there was nothing particular about it and it was a bit to peppery. I ordered it well done but it felt like medium well. The soup was ok, tasted good with the bread. The pork was cooked well and tasted good. One negative aspect is that they charge you for water and it's kind of expensive.

Even the atmosphere was very good there was nothing else worth visiting. The food was not up to par with the prices. Slow service and they forgot some of our plates. Better options are available in the city

Really wanted to like this place but it fell short during our lunch meal. Location was great and staff was friendly. My husband got the duck and it he enjoyed his meal, although he did say the flavor was a little lacking. I got the fillet of beed and french fries, and the first time the fillet came out it was beautifully seared on the outside but raw on the inside so had to send it back to cook more. Second time around it was a little more done but still more on the rare side of medium-rare. Ended up eating less than half because the center was still so raw and the meat that was more medium-rare was very tough and chewy. Half the fries were cold and the other room temperature, but it didn't help that the lingonberry sauce the placed everything on was ice cold.

Excellent restaurant. Food was fantastic. I had the Estonian tradition pork roast. Beer on tap was good. Service was a little slow, but the waitress was really working hard. I would definitely recommend.

Very nice restaurant just as you enter St Catherine's Passage,through the glass door and down the stairs,only had a couple of beers and the avocado and shrimp salad but it was great,rye bread was complimentary,service was friendly

A restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Plenty of dishes, also. I' ve had the Munga roast, it was too porky for my own standards. Recommended!

This restaurant is an idyllic spot an off the main path though a tunnel and then under an old monastery. The service was exceptional and the food first class. If you want a dinner that you will remember this is the place.

This was a very enjoyable meal and affordable, considering the location. The bread was fantastic! The duck was very good, the potatoes were excellent, the salmon was ok, and the fish soup was mostly broth. The atmosphere and service were both great! Would visit again when in Tallinn.

Nice interior but unfortunatelu no one at our table of 12 didn’t find the mains good/excellent. A bit of a disappointment.
