We needed to wait for 30 minutes to get cold coffee (we ordered it hot). Employee almost did not wanted to make new. And I do not think that this is full fries. THE worst service ever.

An Unpleasant Experience at McDonald's in Old Town Tallinn Title: An Unpleasant Experience at McDonald's in Old Town Tallinn As a frequent traveler, I have visited numerous McDonald's restaurants around the world. However, my recent visit to the McDonald's in the old town of Tallinn left a lot to be desired. The experience was far from pleasant, and I must say that this particular branch did not meet the basic standards one would expect from a globally renowned fast-food chain. Upon entering the restaurant, the first thing that caught my attention was the state of the tables. Garbage was scattered all over, and it seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. This immediately set a negative tone for the entire visit. When visiting a fast-food establishment, I expect a certain level of cleanliness and hygiene, especially in a location as significant as the viral gate of Old Town Tallinn, which is often the first impression visitors get of the area. The outside area was no better. The tables were messy and dirty, giving an unsightly appearance to what should be a prime location in the heart of the city. It's disappointing to see such a lack of care for the exterior of the restaurant, especially when it is situated in a prominent tourist area. What further exacerbated the situation was the apparent lack of staff on hand to maintain the cleanliness of the premises. Tables were left unattended, and there were no employees actively cleaning or tidying up the dining area. It felt as if the restaurant was understaffed or that the employees were not sufficiently trained to handle the volume of customers. In addition to the cleanliness issues, the overall dining experience was marred by slow service. The long queues and apparent disorganization behind the counter contributed to a frustrating wait for my order. It seemed like the staff was struggling to keep up with the demand, leading to an inefficient and subpar customer experience. Overall, my visit to McDonald's in the old town of Tallinn was deeply disappointing. The restaurant's unclean tables and messy exterior significantly detracted from the otherwise beautiful surroundings of Old Town Tallinn. Furthermore, the apparent lack of staff and slow service made the entire experience less enjoyable. As a result, I cannot recommend this particular McDonald's location to others, and I hope that they can address these issues to provide a better experience for future customers.

Decadent! A MC Donalds 15 years ago. Old, dirty and third worldwide. It gives disgusting there, and I do not understand how Mc Donalds allows a local as well. They do not clean anything, dirty floors, the garbage always to overflow, the food on the floor, the dirty tables, boats of sauce on the floor footsteps and all sticky, total mess, and I do not want to imagine what the kitchen is. The only good thing is the area, but it is a pity that they have not reformed it yet. I attach photos to see what it is. I am a customer of all the MC Donalds of the world, but never seen one like that.

Update 22.10.2023: OMG, a meal for 4.80 (double beef burger, fries and drink). Medium coffee 2.10€ though. But still, yes i Will recommend this place. Peaceful and quiet at 7.00 in the morning. Small McDonald's at the edge of the old Tallinn, behind beautiful stone wall. Coming with most experience from Finnish McDonald's restaurants, i point out the differences. I could not find free ketchup dispencer, nor the paper cups or straws. Self-service automat worked fine. I did not try to show My rewards to see if it would give points (i doubt it would since i run the McDonald's Suomi App). Happy Meal was only 3.70€, compared to Finland where it is 4.85€ in Tourula, Jyväskylä. The lemonade selection was not as wide as in Finland. I had missed the apple-pie for a couple of decades that it has not been available in Finland. Price 1.20€. However i find according to my memory that it used to be more sweet and maybe had cinnamon flavor too? The crust was the same awesomeness as i remember. Big Mac Meal was only 5.95€, while in Finland it's 9.25€ at Tourula, Jyväskylä. McDonald's prices can vary depending where on Finland you visit them. French fries were much better, not as soggy as they often are in Finland. Overall a good deal and definetely a solution for a quick solution for your hunger or sweet tooth. McDonald's is much more lucrative pricewise in Tallinn, Estonia, when compared to Finland.

Nice and clean for a McDonald's but so slow, waited for ages for my food and it wasn't busy.

Having 30 orders being handled and handed out by just one person wouldn't necessarily e a problem, but it becomes frustrating when you see the kitchen staff just chilling in the back when you've been waiting for 25 minutes. Also the fact that there's a security guard inside makes you wonder if this is the best place to bring kids....

Just another McDonald's. Actually this is the first McDonald's that was opened in Estonia (year 1995). It is always full of people since it is located just on the edge of Old Town. Popular among young locals, especially on the weekend nights. ;) The restaurant was just recently renovated and looks even better as ever.

Worst mcdonald outlet. Poor customer service. Counter crew dont know how to greet and smile. Looks sad and angry. Counter crew doesnt say anything just movement of head. No condiments. No tissue , no ketchup. Tables are wet and nobody clean. Dont even have tissue around to use for tables. Cafe without caffeine free option. Automatic cahier payment empty paper no one replacing and it causing problem.

It was surprisingly pleasant to enjoy a delicious milk cacao at Mac Coffee here for 3.8 EUR on the celebration of the New Year's Eve. The staff was remarkably polite and attentive, despite the evident hustle and bustle in the crowded place ,-)

I recently visited the McDonald's in Viru, Tallinn, and it exceeded my expectations. The location is convenient, with a welcoming ambiance and efficient service. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was impressively clean. I enjoyed a delicious meal, and my order was prepared quickly and accurately. Whether you're a local or a tourist exploring Viru, this McDonald's is a reliable choice. Its proximity to popular attractions makes it a convenient pit stop, and the modern decor adds to the overall pleasant experience.

What is happening here is simply called trash. All tables are occupied by youngsters who simply spend time in here. Toilets are not working properly. Orders are with huge delays and with mistakes. No invoice papers in terminals. Application offers not working. It is better to go anywhere else than this hell.

Food is the same as in any other McDonalds. No difference at all. But when visiting, be mindful that the average age of the customer in this specific restaurant is 15. This means that the atmosphere is beyond horrible. Loud, dirty, and there is always some misbehaving teenagers. Lots of shady people hanging there. I think this is the only mcDonalds in town, where they have hired a security guard.

As a British guy visiting Estonia I had to try the regional McDonald's. It didn't disappoint. Having eaten the food of the conscripts for the last 40 days, this was a delight. A cheeseburger so meaty and sweat washed down with the best vanilla milkshake I've had in 2023. THIS was a dream combination! Thank you Maccy Deeeees!

The worst one in Tallinn, as it seems. God knows I’m a big fan of McDonald’s but every time I’m at this one my loyalty is challenged. This morning it was half an hour for a breakfast, cold food, rude staff and no paper in the toilet, ugh.

It's the expected McDonald's experience. The food you want at a cheap price. Plenty of seating and self-ordering kiosks to make the process easier for someone that doesn't speak the local language.

Waited for 22 minutes, which is insane for fast food restaurant. Worker forgot to put a straw for my drink and nuggets were out of the box inside the package. No coupons, no sorry for the wait (it’s what I’m used to when coming to McDonald’s). Very poor and slow service. Haven’t even change anything in menu to take it so long.

Below average. This was the first McDonald's in Estonia when it opened. I remember the day and the excitement of people. It's still crowded most of the time, but not as much as it used to be. The location is excellent: right near the Viru Gates so it naturally gets a lot of traffic. You can also find a place outside to sit, but there is no sunshade there, so beware. The place is clean, they try to keep it as clean as possible and it shows, even toilets are clean, what a difference compared to other places in other countries I've visited. Food tastes good, and I got mine literally in under a minute after paying for the order. There is a problem though, I had to wait around 15 minutes to place an order! I wasn't the only one, I saw some customers LEAVE because they didn't want to wait. If I was a shareholder I wouldn't be happy about it. I did manage to place an order, but I had to use self service kiosk for that. Once I figured this out, I had to explain to another customer that was waiting, how to place an order.... What a shame.

Quality of food is good, but only discovered that when it eventually arrived! I didn't realise the premise of 'fast food' now equates to ordering and waiting 30 minutes for your food to arrive - multiple times over multiple days.

Nothing to report but experiences and food were not perfect. Dry cold meat is served after 12 minutes of waiting! The fish was delicious. But it's a small McDonald's.

Probably the slowest service on the planet. I occasionally treat myself to a cheeky mcdonalds breakfast every few months and it's amazing how consistently slow they are. Took 15 minutes in an empty restaurant this morning to make 1 mcmuffin. Some hygiene issues too, no hairnets, handling food with no gloves. The staff look like they don't care at all.

  • 5/5 Klaas de B. 2 years ago on Google
I arrived in Estonia the day that I wanted to go to this mc Donald’s. Unfortunately I was not aware there was a mask requirement inside of public buildings. In the end I was quite happy they gave me a mask so I could enter anyway. The food was also amazing👍🏻

This place is messy, usually overcrowded. Not cleaned well. Sticky floor and tables are normal here. Trash on the tables too. Toilet is wrecked and dirty. And it takes too much time to wait for your order. Better to visit Burger King nearby.

  • 1/5 Saga L. 2 years ago on Google
Bad service. Ordered a coffee and some fries. Got the fries at one place and had to go to the cafe for the coffee. Except no one was working at that station. Five minutes later I was told that there were going to be someone there “later”. When I wanted a refund no one could help me. Floors dirty. No clean tables. No one kept their distance (COVID still a problem) Do NOT go here!

McDonald's big advantage is the helpful workers.Best thing is when you have any complaints about the food they will always quickly replace it. The food is very good. Coffee is amazing, as are desserts. The staff works quickly and efficiently.

It is a McDonalds, so mostly modern, though not very clean. The building is quite cute and there’s even a terrace, but the inside is rather small, or actually rather narrow, so the touch screens where you order are very tight in space. Being in the old town, it gets very crowded, especially in the summer evenings- and there’s smoking and trash all over when you get outside. The wait corresponds, it takes a looong time.

Very busy and crowded. Waited at least 30minutes. Self-service machines were not printing receipts. Nice and friendly staff, spoke good English.

Gets very busy on weekend evenings or when the teenagers have to head home. Easy touch ordering, but be prepared to wait a while for your food if the place is full. Decent salads. At times, the staff seems overwhelmed and can't keep up. The trash was overflowing when I visited.

  • 4/5 MrSprinkles 2 years ago on Google
Food is good, a lot of people are there in the after noon and the waiting time is quite long.

  • 4/5 Jennifer S. 1 year ago on Google
Actually opens at 8, not 7 as stated on the website. Food also took a while to arrive after ordering, presumably because the fryers and other equipment had to heat up. Other than that, very clean modern place, right next to a 12th(?) century gate which I found ironic. Had ordering screens which I like as I can change the language on them and look properly through the menu.

There wasn't much options for breakfast other than the usual sausage McMuffin but they do have a good selection of pastries. The hot chocolate was mediocre. Restaurant was pretty clean at that time (9am) and the music in the restaurant was pretty loud with punk rock music playing in the background!

In my humble opinion the best McDonald's in Estonia. Visited it late in the evening and it was quite busy, but the back corner was surprisingly empty.

Took forever to get my food, asked about it and they pretty much ignored me, ordered food 23:36 and didn't get it until 00:15. All I ordered was a big Mac meal, mc chicken and chicken wrap. Second occurrence like this and it was not busy. Also they need to have more than one people on the floor cleaning up and also to check on the bathrooms regularly.

Good restaurant. A very popular place, a lot of customers, open area seats near the building with a great look. The staff speaks not only in the local language, but in Russia as well.
