👍👍 An incredible museum with a very large private collection of regalia spanning across centuries. The audio guide is available in English and staff very helpful and knowledgeable. An incredible museum with a very large private collection of regalia spanning across centuries. The audio guide is available in English and staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Located across the road from Old Hansa in the heart of Tallinn's old town the Museum if Orders of Knighthood should be one of your first stops when visiting. The giftshop has some great gift ideas and memorabilia to take home. Thanks to the lovely staff who early live their job. What an absolute gem!

Quite an interesting museum in Tallinn's old town. Suitable for a person who is interested in royal and state honors and knighthoods. I recommend the guided tour, I didn't take it myself and I feel like I didn't get enough out of the museum.

A fascinating museum containing genuine examples of the stars and other items connected with the Orders of Knighthood of the world's monarchies and republics. We were fortunate to be able to talk to the chief curator who pointed out some of the most important items (with 700+ it would be easy to miss some of the rare ones).

My group received a tour from Catherine and it was fantastic! Very informative, thorough, and fascinating. I learned so much and it was great to have it all explained while linking such different parts of history together. The exhibits are well presented, with information available in English as well for any further reading you might want to do. If you have a free hour or so in Tallinn and love history, this is definitely a place to go 🙂

This is one of the best museums in Estonia. There are only 3 rooms, but there are a lot of exhibits. When traveling to Tallinn, this museum is a must visit!!

It's a bit pricey but well worth the visit with the Tallinn card as that cuts prices overall by quite a lot I didn't think I'd spend close to an hour in just three rooms with medals but I did because the collection (which are all original) is actually quite big and there is a lot to take in. This should be a wonderful experience for those interested in history, decorative art and for all lovers of beauty. They have an audio guide that I didn't use but could add more background to the whole thing. The lady there is very considerate, obviously wants the visitors to leave more knowledgeable than they came in

This museum is truly awesome! We haven't expected it when we came, but their collection has so many interesting objects that we couldn't fit in the time slot that we planned for visiting, and we are returning again) The museum is well organized, audio guide is interesting, and you don't want to skip anything)) The collection contains valuable originals of orders from different countries and centuries. The first part of the exhibition is organized by the type of the order, for example, Order of the Golden Fleece or Order of the Garter, others are organized by countries or regions. We highly recommend to visit it next time you are un the center of Tallinn!

The museum is really well organized and full of original pieces, mostly medals. The owner is very prepared and speaks english. Perfect for learning about knighthoods around the world. It is quite expensive though.

Hidden gem (pun intended) among many Tallinn museums. The owners are genuinely passionate about the history and treat the guest with utmost hospitality (and a ton of history anecdotes). The collection is exquisite! For my Polish folks: you can admire one of the most beautiful examples of tej White Eagle Order. Ton of knowledge. There are also free audioguides (read by the machine but translated by human). Worth to mention that the admission is free with Tallinn Card.

Really interesting place to all whom like history and traditions. One can find also plenty of rare medals in which one can not see anywhere else for real.

The museum manager was very nice with me, he helped me by borrowing his tablet to make me listen the audios of the museum. He was very kind and helpful not only for what concerns the museum but I talked with him about my visit in Tallinn.

Recommended if you’re a history buff. The gentleman at the counter is very friendly and I had my longest conversation in Estonia with him (about 15 mins) about his visit to India.

Very interesting exhibition of emblems and awards of orders from around the world. The collection includes a lot of exhibits from polish, Russian, British knightly orders. But also lesser known orders from Latin America, Africa and Asia are included. The museum staff is very knowledgeable and supplements the items with additional information. Must see for every tallinn visitor.

The owner's passion for the subject was obvious the moment we walked in. The museum has an impressive number of medals and a few different uniforms, as well as plenty of information about the history of different orders and the symbolism they chose. What's different about this place is that each single piece is an ACTUAL ORIGINAL. This is a unique experience, which I recommend for anyone who enjoys history or simply shiny things ;)
