This park is the place where the flag of Denmark, Dannebrog, according to tradition, is said to have been born. Because of that every year on 15 June, Dannebrog or the Day of the Danish Flag is celebrated in the garden. This garden is surrounded by city walls and halfway down the steps towards Rüütli street you can see an iron sword and shield with a Danish cross.

At night this place is very interestingly lit and the statues are giving some mysterious feeling that transports you to a different time.

It's a beautiful garden with a nice castle-like look around. The three bronze monks - "waiting monk" Ambrose, "praying monk" Bartholomew and "observing monk" Claudius are standing in the Garden of the Danish King, which was once called "The Craft Yard" back in the medieval times. It's a nice place to stroll around, sit and relax. There is one old guy singing here with the guitar.

The 3 monk statues really caught my attention. Beautiful, historical place. An old well is located just nearby

The ticket for the exhibition and the passage was 14€ per person, but it's worth it. You would be able to visit the 4 towers, with the exhibition inside, additionally you would be able to go through the Bastion passage. Spent more than an hour here.

The Danish King's Garden is a lovely park located in the heart of Tallinn, Estonia. It is named after King Valdemar II of Denmark, who allegedly camped there during the Northern Crusades in the early 13th century. The garden offers a peaceful retreat with its lush greenery, well-maintained flower beds, and scenic views of Tallinn's Old Town.

Lovely spot to sit and relax. You can enjoy views from above, the fortification and some flowers here. I wouldn’t call it a proper garden. It’s flower beds with flowers but worth a visit. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is right next to it so a nice place to stop.

Nice place for having a seat while walking in the old Town. It's not actually a big garden, just a small place. It has good views of the city and also good views on full moon nights. There's a very nearby as well.

Simple garden with a few nice statues and a wall that you can walk on for fee. That what makes it interesting is the history of the flag landing on the battlefield inspiring and reinvigorate the people to fight for glory ending up in winning the battle.

Nice to visit in the evening. No great views from here. Looks better in the pictures but still cool to see giant cloaked statues.

Nice cafe upstairs along the wall. Simple museum and walk way. Good view of St Nicholas church. Quite similar experience as the fortress wall near Viru Gates.

This place is really epic. A popular tourist spot called Neitsitorn is there so it might get a little crowded. Still this place is well worth the visit if you want to just chill or have a drink or two with your mates and enjoy the view over Downtown.

The three bronze monks namely "waiting monk" Ambrose, "praying monk" Bartholomew and "observing monk" Claudius are standing in the horn shaped Garden of the Danish King, which was once called "The Craft Yard" back in the medieval times. Legend has it that the Danish Dannebrog flag 🇩🇰 fell from the sky here on 15th June, 1219.

If you like legendary places with haunting stories, this is the place in Tallinn you shouldn’t miss. Just behind Neitsitorni Museum, there is this amazing entrance for the “Short Leg Gate Tower”, that is considered one of the most haunted places in Tallinn and which looks like more a magic place that takes you back to Medieval time and according local information “The Gate used to be locked at night to stop the commom people of the lower town from bothering the nobility. Apparently, the gate was also supposed to stop the ghosts who were try to seak up to Toompea Hill from the Danish Kings Garden. We didn’t go inside of the museum, but we totally recommend you spend a good time over there, because it’s just magic place. You will also find some artists selling their paintings from the gate and their ghosts! Eli: 5 / Serge: 5 Recommended: Totally recommended! Tips: Wear comfortable shoes.

The Danish King's Garden has a great view of Tallinn and you can see the three monk sculptures here. The work “Three” by Simson von Seakyll (Aivar Simson) and Paul Mänd are three bronze monks with a height of 2.5 metres Ambrosius the “Waiting Monk”, Bartholomeus the “Praying Monk” and Claudius, the “Observing Monk”
