The Bank of Estonia (Estonian: Eesti Pank) is the central bank of Estonia as well as a member of the Eurosystem organisation of euro area central banks. The Bank of Estonia also belongs to the European System of Central Banks. Until 2010, the bank issued the former Estonian currency, the kroon. The Governor of the Bank of Estonia, currently Ardo Hansson, is a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank.

First of all it's free so come inside and enjoy the history of our currency. Secondly there is a little shop where you can buy commemorative coins at very reasonable prices.

It contains a complete introduction to the history of Estonian coins. The store sells various commemorative coins, but does not sell old banknotes and coins.

An interesting monetary museum of the Estonian National Bank for those who are interested in Estonian monetary policy and the country's former currency. Interactive screens and boards guide you clearly and comprehensibly from the beginnings of the Estonian krone to today's euro. There is also a lot to discover in a playful way for the little ones. Admission is free. Architecturally, the building alone is worth a visit.

Very nice to visit (especially when it's raining). Free entrance. The building shows impressive features, such as a round staircase, stained glass and high ceilings. Jugendstil elements inside. The exhibition is all about money, but also has a few historical wax figures. A lot of of screen displays (and yes, in English too!). Replay a game of chess, and learn a little about money, finances and some Estonian related history. Glance at an old gold bar in the cellar too!

Hieno museo Viron pankkitoiminnan historiasta. Paikkaan on ilmainen sisäänpääsy. Museokaupassa voi käydä esimerkiksi vaihtamassa rahaa Viron 2-euron juhlarahoihin.

One of my favorite museums. Very well explained. I wish though that they sold more of the older coins. Also it is free, and very informative.

Ilmainen sisäänpääsy. Tänne voi edelleen viedä viron krooneja; vaihtavat kolikotkin uuteen valuuttaan. Muutenkin on TODELLA käymisen arvoinen paikka. Erittäin laaja kokoelma kaikkien euromaiden rahoista, myös erikoispainokset! Viron krooneissa olleiden henkilöiden aidon kokoiset vahanuket. Ja paljon muuta. Lapsillekin tehty kaikenlaista kivaa tekemistä. Kannattaa käydä myös holvikellarissa! Itse rakennus on upeasti restauroitu; jo pelkkä portaikko on kauniita maalauksia täynnä. Varatkaa aikaa, täällä viihtyy.

Definitely a hidden gem! It's a free museum about money and it gave me lots of interesting insights about that. Absolutely recommend. Also the stair at the entrance is beautiful.

A free museum which is to enter has some interesting activities to choose from. It also has a nice basement with a neat surprise beneath for those who are curious. You can see different coins in Estonia from different time periods, build a puzzle and learn more about Estonian economics with info and games. Good place for kids and money/currency connoisseurs.

A bit boring and has only three-four rooms of usage. All the history of money, from marks to euros. + creepy wax figures.

An interesting museum with modern and well done displays of many aspects of currency and economy in Estonia (some interactive). Also extra services such as exchange of old Kroon coins and banknotes as well as selling modern colectible Euro coins and information material (some are free). Extra plus for good toilets and free drinking water. Museum is free to enter too.

If you have an interest in money and general economics / economic news...go there! You'll learn about Estonian history within the EU on top of strictly speaking monetary and economic aspects. Ans it's free. Really enjoyed my visit there and strongly recommend!
