This is a fun little museum to visit and explore the interactive exhibits. Great for couples and young families! We’ll try to come back to see a show at their theatre.

Again, I'm not sure I could have known this was a children's museum from the description. I felt like a creeper as the only single male in there and I felt I had to leave. Otherwise, kind of a cool museum. I figured it would be a little more adult-oriented.

A unique museum in Tallinn. New dimensions. No matter what your age is, I highly recommend visiting this place. Art from a variety of angles. A true masterpiece.

Must see for theater lovers... Amazed to see how The Galivers Travels brought in to reality. Very attractive dolls used in performances. Entry fees about 8-10 euro.

Last time I went to this theatre, I was a small child. It was suprising to see how much this place has changed and evolved during these years. It's not only for puppet shows, but also productions targeted for young adults. As a visual theatre, they are able to broaden your senses and let your imagination to fly. In addition, it was enjoyable to walk around the house as well as the interior looks very modern. All in all, it was a enjoyable experience.

Great view. A fantastic puppet exhibition with the history of puppet theatre in Tallin. Easy to reach as in the old Town.

Really nice place to spend with kids, but also why not adults. It's not huge and you can go through the whole museum fairly quickly, but it's neat, clean, has quite a bit of trivia on puppet shows in Estonia etc. Pricing is also fair, I would say

Never did I think that coming to Tallin would encompass a puppet museum, but it was recommended by our AirBnb host and it was pouring outside so we gave it a try. Definitely pleasantly surprised as my kids enjoyed it more than I thought they would have. Very interactive for the kiddos so this is definitely a must see if you are in the area and wanting your kids to have a bit of freedom to wander around and play with puppets. We easily spent a couple of hours here and it was very interesting. Plenty of clean bathrooms too!

Really worth visiting place in Tallinn with or without children. Museum is very well organised and it is very informative as well as gives possibility to touch and experience the puppets. Definetely should be on the list of must see places in Tallinn.

Interesting if you like theatre and puppets. To fully experience the museum, knowledge of Estonian is helpful, but with English you can also manage. Overall a quite niche topic but executed in a way that's interesting to children.

Deceptively small museum attached to the theater details the surprising history of puppetry in Estonia. Extensive exhibit showcases the rich puppetry tradition in the country since at least the 1950s. Very well put together and quite interesting. Especially impressed with the puppetry collection and displays of recent projects, like the giant puppet of Gulliver from Gulliver's Travels. Worth a visit even if you're only mildly interested in the subject.

Just adorable 🥰 dolls. History of puppetry shown. First place down you can hear in Estonian language old interviews of puppetry makers. You can try yourself move the string dolls. Student price 5e, - lots and lots of stairs, sure to get workout !!! There are most of the times wonderful puppetry plays in same location!? (Not in same price though. ) Aivan upeita eri aikakauden aikaisia nukketeatterinukkeja, suurin osa aikoinaan esityksiin tehty ja niissä käytetty. Nukketeatterilla Virossa on pitkä historia. ☺️ (Voit ostaa markkinoilta/ kaupasta etsimällö oman nuken ) Huom! Esitystilat ovat portaiden päässä, eli kävelet lukuisia portaita ylös ja alas ja ylös, alas. Huomaa!!! Samassa yhteydessä toimii aktiivinen teatteri/ nukketeatteri, erilliset liput näytöksiin. Luultavasti voit ostaa ne museon yhteydessä olevasta lipunmyynnistä.

We got no expectations before we had visited this museum. I personally thought is going to be yet another puppet museum that showcases puppets an so on. But this place has way more to offer than just puppets. This is in a way a modern museum of theater for kids. It has multiple rooms featuring puppets, decor and setting , light and shadow theater, horror cellar (this was our favorite one), history and many more. Couple of hours that we spent there went to quick. We wished we had more time. I highly recommend this place for parents and kids. Enjoyed it fully!

This was an interesting place for puppet lovers. Kids will enjoy the different displays and areas to play. The cellar of horrors is a must see for horror movie lovers- a bit freaky but fun. The theatre displays all have an english text translation.

A fantastic museum of puppet and figure theatre. It’s compact, yet very interesting for those into theatre, puppetry and art dolls and contemporary art. Would love to watch their performances, putty I can’t speak Estonian!

This review is only of the museum, as I have not visited the theatre in a long time. But the museum was such a pleasant surprise, even for adults. Cool collection of puppets, stage decorations, a few steampunk machines, a "cellar of horror" and a cool glass bridge on the 2nd floor. Quite small, will not take you more than 1 hour.
