We stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel which is conveniently located in Tallinn’s old town. Parking is available a few minutes walk away, you can either pay directly at the parking (which did not work for us as our foreign credit cards were not accepted) or via the hotel. The hotel is located in a historic building which was beautifully converted into a hotel. Breakfast is served in the vaulted cellar, buffet-style, and comes with a wide selection of pastry, bread, cheese, sausage,… In addition, hot breakfast such as eggs or porridge are served on demand. Our room was very well kept and had a really nice window niche with cushions to chill in. The bathroom came with a bathtub-shower combo and great toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion). A bathrobe was provided, too (which I love…). There is only very limited room for improvement from our perspective. One is that we found the atmosphere a bit too “stiff”, but this is more our personal taste and thus not a real critique. The other is that you are asked to not take the room key with you, but have it stored at the reception. Again, just something we found a bit odd, or old-school, but not a complaint of any sort. Overall, this is a lovely traditional hotel in a great location.

This was a delightful hotel. The amenities were all high end. Breakfast was delicious. The location is great for walking everywhere. The staff was very friendly, especially Artjom, who was very helpful and always greeted us with a smile.

Very nice hotel inmidst downtown. Tasty breakfast. Hard to get there by car, but parking lot is close-by. Comfortable beddings, tidy, clean rooms. Friendly staff.

Treat yourself to this five star experience. You'll receive a warm welcome they'll carry your bags to your room and do everything to make your stay perfect. Breakfast was made to order and excellent.

Little gem of a 5* hotel in Old Town of Tallinn. Food is very good. We had a standard room which was compact with poor air-conditioning, although a fan sorted this....l would still return.

This is a difficult review to write. The very positive first: The service and staff people were wonderful. Friendly, considerate and always helpful. The breakfast was really good. Great selection, fresh eggs or hot cereals to order for free, and a well stocked buffet. The hotel is beautiful and clean inside. The lobby is large and comfortable and the hotel is lin a great location in the old city. Here's the negative: Don't take room #18. Access is difficult at best. The steps leading up to the room are treacherous and difficult. The more than willing staff had to carry our bags, but even without carrying, getting up and down the steps was not easy. AND the room, while clean and nicely furbished, is dark. There is a window, but Tallinn is not very sunny and the light fixtures in the room did not light the room well. I will include photos of the stairs to the room. I would happily stay at this hotel again. The service and staff and other positive things would make it worth while. But I would specifically ask for a room other than #18 or the one across the hall.

A beautiful hotel in the center of the old city within Tallinn. The staff was courteous and engaging, the room was cozy and the atmosphere in the lobby was fantastic. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

The room & the hotel was great. Great service & staff. We had a small error in our stay regarding the sauna & hot tub reservation and they fixed & compensated it immediately after mentioning.

A nice experience of staying in the suite. Attentive and helpful staff, a nice castle-style vibe and a long history with well-known guests added with an enjoyable breakfast - zero complaints and a warm recommendation.

This truly was a full-service hotel from the moment we stepped in until we left hotel. Check-in was smooth with a welcome drink. Room was clean and the bathroom worked flawlessly. Comfy bed and good free WiFi. Super nice breakfast with all our special requests fulfilled. Service was thorough out. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to test the sauna and jacuzzi- that is for the next visit , will definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel for a special occasion. I did a good bit of research online and chose this one based on reviews. (In this price range there is a lot of choice in Estonia). When we arrived at 9:40pm after a long journey and the bar was closed, no food available and the fire was out. I had booked it to enjoy the ambience (picture of fire lit looked lovely in the advertisement) so this was so disappointing. We were told that ‘normally the bar is open’ and told to download an app to order a takeaway & they could give us some sparkling water. There was construction (drilling etc) going on outside our room both mornings from 9am. The second night it was the same thing with no ameneties - and we were told the restaurant was fully booked and we could not book in. We were told we could order a drink up until 10pm but it would be heavily delayed because it’s the restaurant that makes them and they are busy. (Took 20 mins, and drinks were 15 euro each). When we voiced any disappointment upon checkout there were no apologies from the receptionist - she just shrugged her shoulders. No apology or compensation offered. The room was lovely in fairness and the location is good- but in my opinion you stay in a hotel so you can avail of the amenities and there were none to be had. We checked out and stayed up the road in a different hotel for the rest of our stay. Maybe it used to be a good hotel but If you are looking for a great experience you can do alot better than here.

I stayed here for a one night detour during a vacation in Helsinki. The hotel has a lot of character and I was very happy with my room and its amenities. The sauna is private and they provide everything you need to visit it. I would note, however, that the style of service provided by the staff may not be to everyone's taste. Checking in takes several minutes as they explain the policies and amenities, as opposed to the quick transaction most hotels use. If you want a stay without human interaction, you should look elsewhere. If, however, you want that interaction, this is an excellent choice.

The staff at reception were so helpful and friendly. It was raining when we departed, and one of them came out to hold an umbrella over us as we put our luggage into the taxi. The food was delicious at breakfast, so many options for vegetarians! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

Amazing little hotel in the heart of Old Town. It has a great history, but staff were super friendly, and there were no pretentious airs. It has a rustic exterior but modern, clean rooms. A very pleasant experience.

I stayed at the Schlösse Hotel in October 2021 while visiting Talinn (on my own) for a conference in Estonia. It remains one of my favorite hotel experiences. The room was very nice, but more importantly, the hotel was incredibly friendly and warm. I ended up eating (alone) at their restaurant, which was fantastic, and going to another restaurant they recommended, which was amazing.

The amount of anticipation of guests’ needs that they’ve managed to perfect here is impressive. I’m not easily impressed, either, haha! Definitely a safe choice in Tallinn, and much more.

Matkustelen paljon joten hoteleissa tulee pääsääntöisesti asuttua. Schlössle hotellin sijainti on loistava. ( vanhassa kaupungissa ) viihtyisä hotelli - loistava henkilökunta - aamiainen loistava

Beauty, luxury, comfort all combined! One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited. The location was excellent, and allowed visiting the city with ease. Kind and super helpful staff with a lot of professional attitude. The room was beautiful! And with the comfort of a quality bed, we could get a very nice sleep. Breakfast was amazingly good with nice menu options also. I would recommend it to everyone visiting Tallinn.

Erinomainen palvelu! Sijainti erinomainen, koska melkein kaikki on kävelymatkan päässä. Aamupala oli monipuolinen ja herkullinen. Pannukakut ja juustot oli parhaita. Nukuimme puolison kanssa hyvin ja meitä harmitti luovuttaa huone lähtöpäivän. Iso suositus!

Booking was confirmed initially and cancelled by the hotel 2 days before arrival, I was travelling then so did not have access to my email to do anything in time, this did not happen to any other bookings I had on the same trip so only this hotel. We needed to book again and paid extra (last minute so not too many options plus we decided to stay here due to good reviews). Room was in the side building with a lot of stairs to get to. Wifi in the room was intermittent and the room was not sound proof, you can hear people in other rooms quite loudly. I would not recommend this if you want a quiet place and easy to access room. Service was ok and staff were friendly but overall felt more like a 4 star hotel and as such overly priced.

Great hotel in the Tallinn old town. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and bright. We loved our stay, and only wish we could have enjoyed the breakfast in the courtyard (but we had an early ferry!). We will be back, and stop again.

Ambitious, but fails to deliver. Good service cannot make up for mushy salads and tasteless mussels.

I definitely recommend this hotel. We had a pleasant stay in this medieval and stylish place. Very cozy atmosphere, quick, friendly and flawless service at the registration desk and in the restaurant. We shall definitely come back after the corona nightmare is over.

A lovely boutique hotel in the middle of the city. Well designed, authentic, simple and yet impressive. The structure and elements giving it a unique vibe like no other. The rooms are small and very cozy, renovated and with everything you need. The service is professional, personal and very caring. I'll even mention Elar who provide an excellent service. The breakfast is excellent. With good taste, fresh ingredients and good range of dishes. Location is perfect. Notice there is no elevator in the building, 3 floors. Enjoy ☺️

Polite, Cozy, good breakfast, good location to wonder around unfortunately empty streets of Tallinn. Staff was very helpful in all little favours. They Made us feel very welcome from The first step in to hotel. Strong recommendation.

Incredible hospitality and a feel of classic decor with modern convenience. Had no troubles and slept well. Located in the heart of Old Tallinn was a major attraction.

The location, the service, the comfort, the rooms and this breakfast were well in excess of what we expected, especially for the price. The breakfast was also the best included breakfast we've ever had for a hotel breakfast. The room was larger than expected. This may be due to our experience coming straight from holidays in the USA but I cannot fault any part of my stay here. The one photo is the bath taken from the middle of the bathroom.

Unforgettable stay in a small hotel. In terms of price / quality - the quality is higher than the prices in the hotel. Attentive and caring staff. Breakfasts are top notch! Thanks to the staff, we will be back again. Recommended for those who love comfort and quality.

This is a boutique hotel in an older building. If at all possible, avoid staying in the annex building as you can very clearly hear people in the other bedrooms. No modern amenities with the exception of a sauna. Breakfast is not too bad and location is great. However it feels much more like a 4 star boutique than a 5 star hotel. Overpriced for what it offers.

Clean. Luxurious. Friendly. Welcoming. A home away from home in the heart of a fairytale city. I've never felt so at home somewhere so 'posh!' We celebrated my mum's 'special' birthday in style at the Schlössle hotel and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful frontage, lovely courtyard view from our window reading seat (where I felt like Rapunzel!), exceptional restaurant and service to match. A perfect place to wind down, relax and recharge after a busy day ambling the streets of a city I could visit time and time again. This was my 4th time in Tallinn and by far the best. It was the first time my mum has said she wasn't ready to go home! Special thanks to Elan & Omar who went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember.

Staff is very helpful and extremely pleasant. Great rooms, very tasty food, awesome location. Figuring out the parking was the only problem with this hotel. Would recommend!

The service staff and managers were exceptional. They added personal touches to Presidential Suite for my birthday. It was my second time at Schlössle in five years and I consider it my home in Tallinn.

  • 5/5 Paulo D. 1 year ago on Google
Schlössle Hotel is truly a 5-star hotel! You can find everything there, with so much attention to details. The rooms are well-furnished and have everything you may wish. The lobby is the most welcoming from all the hotels I have been into. But, probably, the staff is simply superb. Front desk is always available for requests and info, housekeeping is so efficient and kind (and yes, this hotel has a convenient turn-down service) and the breakfast staff is adorable too. The breakfast has a wide selection and there is plenty to choose from, everything has an excellent quality and there is a menu where you can order hot plates (such as omelettes, porridge or pancakes). Also, you can make a free use of the sauna which is very nice and clean. This is probably the best hotel in Tallinn. I, for sure, recommend it. The location is simply the best - you are right in the Old Town, near the main attractions, near Viru Keskus which is convenient. Stay there and you won't regret it.

  • 5/5 Anja V. 2 years ago on Google
Obviously a nice place to stay. Everything you can expect from a 5* hotel is there. The location is good for evening or morning walk in Old Town. Just please do something about your glass recycling in the late evening/ early morning (room #25 facing the inner courtyard/ garden).

  • 5/5 Tomi L. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice hotel. Excellent service: they carry your bags, help with everything. At breakfast they will make you pancakes or omelet (from real eggs) etc. Good air conditioning in rooms. 5x👍.

Impeccable service from friendly staff. Nicely appointed room in a gorgeous historical building with working fireplaces. Breakfast was a daily highlight with an incredible spread. Five stars well deserved.
