2 star hotel pretending to be 4 star. Very average. Hard beds, boring (verging on bad) breakfast. And €2 fee for slippers?! Come on, that's just pathetic. Spa is okay, but there are much better options in Tallinn for the price.

The most lovely hotel in the city center of Tallinn. Good compact spa area, different and good choice of breakfast, nice bed in room, bathrobe and slippers in room. Nice price 👌🏽

It's a good hotel, just not good enough to be called " 4-star spa hotel". On the pluses: spacious and very clean rooms, freshly renovated. Breakfast is delicious, with a huge variety of dishes. Personnel at the reception is polite and always ready to help. It is comfortable to stay here. Good location, around 10min walk to the old town. On the minuses: 1. No tools to dry swimsuit and other things after spa, neither in spa area nor room. 2. There is no air ventilation in bathroom, so all the odors from there will occupy the rest of the room. 3. Although the hotel is called "spa", there are no available "hotel goods" like shampoo, conditioner, lotion in the room (you have only universal soap for everything). 4. Going at the hotel restaurant in the evening was total disappointment. The tables were dirty after other clients. The bartender was working extremely slow, we ordered 4 drinks and she brought them only after 15-20min (in a meantime she was chatting and bringing drinks to neighboring table, who seemed to generate much better profit than ours, even though they ordered later than we). In a result, she brought only 3 drinks out of 4, and when we told it to her, she said in a very irritated manner: "you paid only for 3", but the problem was that, we clearly said "4 drinks" when we ordered, so basically she herself didn't write down our order correctly and put the fault on us. Overall, staying at this hotel was a positive experience, but for sure it could be much better for such price.

Never stay in Hotel Metropol and Hotel Metropol SPA Tallin - they will steal your money using debt collectors! We stayed there for 2 days and we were happy to use their “car parking included” Room offer. Upon arrival, we parked the car according to receptionist’s directions (wrote down the car’s plate NR on a paper and gave it to her). Two hours later we found a parking ticket on windscreen, so we brought it to the reception. The receptionist apologised for the mix-up and took our ticket promising to resolve the problem. Then the car was in same parking place for 2 days and no more tickets issued. We assumed that the Metropol Hotel finally input our car’s plate NR into their system and all was fine. But! After more than year local debt collectors have taken action against me for the parking fee + penalties. Hotel management is totally rude and unwilling to resolve the issue. All they can say is: “Unfortunately it is impossible to investigate your parking from the last year. During this time we have been changing our parking systems coupple of times. Do you have any kind of ticket which you got from reception when you parked your card, and where your car was parked? if you don't have this information to share with us, unfortunately we can't help.” Of course we are going to pay the debt, however let this be a warning for all travelers: Choose any other hotel in Tallin – not the unreliable Metropol or Metropol SPA!

No good. Be prepared that your room will not be ready at the time of check-in. Waited on the line to reception 30min, was told the room will be ready in 30mins. After that I had to wait on the queue 30min again. Arrogant and rude service, no understanding on customers point of view. I'm wondering why they inform that check-in is 3pm if they know the rooms are not ready at that time. Also unreasonable to ask a customer hang around on the line 1,5h hours. Somewhere else the situation would have been nicely explained, asked to sit down and a cup of coffee offered. Rooms are okay and spa just fine, nothing special here. Cannot recommend as there are many high-quality hotels on this money in Tallinn.

Spa is open till 20:00. Too bad if you'd like to take a dip after work! You have to bring towels from the room or rent at the spa for 3 euro. Even the slippers you have to purchase! The location is good.

Went here a few months ago, it was nice. Bed was comfy and the room lovely. Receptionist was a bit cold, but perhaps it was a rough day. Had dinner, unfortunately the entrecote was a bit underwhelming in my opinion. I asked for medium but only half of the meat was medium, the other half was well done, not seasoned very well. I didn't send it back because I didn't mind too much. My friend liked the mussels though. The restaurant server was amazing. Breakfast server was also friendly. Will go again for sure, but will choose something else to eat next time 😊

Very nice SPA with bar, kids allowed. At least 3-4 different saunas and 4 jacuzzis and a large pool. Slippers neded to be bought for €2, Friendly and helpful staff. If you're Swedish you'll find the breakfast satisfying, they had baked beans and everything except Kalles kaviar 🙂👍

One could assume that hotel has reception staff up to his task and leveled with corresponding requirements during check in process, as well as towels provided at spa for guests, and breakfast served on Sunday morning later than until 10.30.

First on positives because it's mostly them: rooms are cozy and comfortable, spa is worth to try. We didn't have any issues with the staff, breakfast was tasty. It's located in a center of city, so it's close to everything. I stayed in this hotel twice. In first room I was told that conditioning is always so loud. It's not, in second room conditioning was working much more quiet.

Fine hotel. The decoration of the restaurant is nice, the rooms are spacious and they clean them well. The breakfast is OK (standard hotel food), and at night they do have a good option of dishes that you can take away to your room or eat at their bar, but I haven't found the food as good as in a restaurant. The downside to me was that after several days you get tired of the same breakfast everyday (it never changes), and the massage I had this time was not as good. I felt that I lost money for the service I've got.

En enään ikinä tulisi tähän hotelliin uusiksi. Me käytiin valittamassa tosta melusta respassa ja me saatiin ainostaan korvatulpat. Tosi huonoa asiakaspalvelua tällä hotellilla. Missään ei edes lukenut että tässä hotellissa on yöklubi.

I WARN YOU!!: Do not book an overnights stay on saturdays to this hotel (only if you are going to sleep after 2am)! There is a nightclub at the 1st floor of the hotel and the hotel rooms have very poor sound isolations. I am not exaggerating: I can feel the bass shaking the hotel room bed and walls. All the songs can be heard clearly to the room so that you can even sing along with the songs you recognize. It's like having a 1000 watt subwoofer and speaker system playing in your own hotel room, and cannot turn the moombathon music off. I can hear well what the party people (who are smoking outside of the club) are talking about. This would be fine if we were partying tonight but this night we were wishing that we could have had some sleep after a rough night on a ferry ☹️ and we thought that we paid for a relaxing spa night. It would be fair to have some kind of a warning about the nightclub noises.

The hotel is located in the centre of Tallinn, very close to shops, transport and the main streets. The breakfast was nice and definitely you will find something healthy (how boring it could sound). If you like spa, you need to try it, I really enjoyed 3 different saunas, a small swimming pool and jacuzzis, they have even a bar there but I don’t drink for a spa time. Stable WiFi so that I could work, don’t remember weather they have parking, because I prefer to walk when I travel. I had a large clean and warm room with coffee and tea.

Amazing Spa Hotel with the best jacuzzi/sauna experiences ever. Very clean, big, and the location right in the center at the Old Town area is just splendid. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Very loud music from the hotel’s own bar, that closes 02AM on weekends. The bass resonates through the walls / windows, no one could sleep… Unacceptable for these prices

Great location in Roterman and a super spa. The spa has 4 X sauna and a pool plus 3 bubble pools. Breakfast is good with a good buffet served from 7-10 am. Rooms quite basic but bathrooms are excellent. Pillows my main and only gripe. Stayed here 4 times now and will continue to do so.

After visiting Tallinn numerous times and staying in many hotels throughout the town, I can wholeheartedly recommend Metropol Spa Hotel. Being my second stay here you can be rest assured you get the best location, clean and modern rooms and of course SPA zone.

We stayed for one night there together with a pre-schooler. An early check-in was possible on the day of our arrival. The room was very clean with a nice vie. It was comfortable as well. The spa was quite nice, too, maybe a little noisy when all the jacuzzi were on at the same time. The breakfast was great. Perfect location halfway between the harbor and downtown.

Very good hotel! Fab spa and really nice rooms. It can be loud at night, especially at weekends due to the hotel bar and nearby bars but if you plan on being out anyway, not a problem.

A good hotel! The location is amazing, there are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was nicely decorated and the other facilities of the hotel as well! The minibar in our room wasn’t cold, so we couldn’t use it for the stuff we bought from the store :( The spa is quite small and basic, but I still liked it. It was quite calm in the afternoon. Tasty drinks at the spa bar as well! Breakfast was quite average, nothing special. Staff was nice and professional, but could have been a bit more friendlier. A wish is the possibility to watch movies in the rooms. I thought there was a possibility to connect my phone to the tv, but when I asked reception they said it wasn’t possible. Maybe some type of renting service then?

Huoneet ihan jees, sijainti mahtava. Kaikki lähellä bussipysäkki mukaanlukien. Ravintolat, kaupat, parkkitalo, vanha kaupunki ja kuntosali. Kylpylässä porealtaat parhaat. Aamupala runsas ja monipuolinen.

A place to sleep with a nice spa. Pros: -Location: Close to old town in a cool design district. Took the ferry from Helsinki and walked here. - Spa: The best part of this hotel. Super nice and relaxing after sightseeing all day. Excellent facilities and different types of saunas to try. They all worked very well. - Breakfast: Legit, but if you don’t have breakfast included go check out the local coffee shops nearby. Cons: - Room: Booked a standard room. Stale and depressing. Thin walls. Terrible toiletries. Facing a concrete wall. Do your due diligence on exactly what room to book and pay a bit more for something nicer. - Service: A bit cold. The overall interactions with guests could be improved. Although I loved the spa and location I probably wouldn’t stay here again. If you are looking for something special this is not it. If you come across a good deal like I did it’s fine for a night or two as you won’t want to spend much time in the room anyway!

Very nice hotel only a short 10 min walk to old town. Helpful staff. Couldn’t check in early but kept our bags. Has a nice bar area. The rooms are spacious and clean. Didn’t have breakfast but plenty of cafes nearby. The spa is available to all guests until 9pm - last entry is 8pm. Those who are not hotel guests can visit for €15 to €30 depending on the time.

This clearly would have been a 5 star review but for the fact that the only day of 4 that we requested housekeeping, the housekeeper left our door unlocked and open. Nothing was stolen fortunately but the hotel staff merely offered an apology.

Loistava hotelli ja sijainti. Kaikkea paljon ja lähellä. Kuntosalin varustelu riittävä ja kylpylä aivan super, aikuisten tarpeeseen. Parkkihallista sai varatuksi autopaikan.

The reason for this place receiving a 1 star is because the gym does not open until 0700. It is not staffed by anyone and you gain access by key card. This crosses this place off my list of hotels to stay at for extended stays when I travel for work. I would recommend the same to anyone who has a morning routine or their only time to workout is “early” in the morning. I will change this review if Metropol fixes this, which I don’t know why they don’t make it 24hr access, and I get verification it is changed.

The rumor of AC not being adjustable to below 20 degrees Celsius is true. In fact, the control module of the AC does not even say if the AC is currently on or off. As well as our room was not facing the city, but instead some kind of a metal wall. The window was static and could not be opened. Room service was almost always delayed, reception usually do not answer the phone, and when the soap ran empty in the shower, the receptionist came to our room with the new soap bag, having no idea how to replace it. So we had to figure that part on our own. (The lid opens from the bottom in case you face the same issue). However, the cleanliness was absolute. Haven't seen a cleaner room before. The cleaning service is also sharp and on time. Important notice: the spa must be pre-booked. We didn't know that and we didn't have the time to book during the short stay, and so we missed it.

  • 1/5 J 2 years ago on Google
Awful, they play loud bassy music all night long (until 4am), which actually shakes the bed. Went downstairs to ask for a different room and there was nothing they could do about it. Building a night club in a hotel might be one of the worst decisions someone has made, please don't stay here, there are so many other nice 4 star hotels in Tallinn. The only people giving this 5 and 4 star reviews are people who were staying on the top floors

  • 5/5 Mustansar I. 2 years ago on Google
Nice location and fabulous staying experience. Only few minutes walk to city centre.

Amazing experience for a couples spa day! Everything really was perfect. Starting with the location. Everything you needed, was right next to you. A bit of a minus is the parking costs (10€), but honestly, its a small price to pay. The reception workers were always cheerful and the spa workers were really helpful! Spa had the perfect balance between saunas and hot tubs. Also a lengthy pool! Lavendel oil massage was lovely and relaxing. Overall hotel room was clean and really had everything working and new. If you are looking to stay here then I recommend to check out the prices and special offers from their web page.

Decent 3 star hotel. The rooms are basic, the bar is good, the Spa is actually very nice 4 different saunas. Staff is very helpful and the location is great. The WiFi is good. There was really nothing wrong with the hotel, I am just categorizing it based on my travel experiences.

Brazilian guy on front desk provided good check-in service. Rooms were clean and hotel facilities great. Wonderful old town view and fantastic location. However, breakfast and morning reception was weird. Needs management. Receptionist rolled her eyes about my asking for breakfast. I felt uncomfortable as her dramatic moaning and eye rolling seemed like she was possessed. Staff argued about who I should pay for breakfast. What is otherwise a very simple transaction required back and forth between the breakfast bar and reception. Nobody wanted to deal with me. Then when I asked for an espresso the breakfast staff were reluctant, initially refused, upon my second request she hesitantly made me an espresso. I felt like I was interrupting her chat with her colleague, how rude was I to ask anything from them. Later, their orange machine was broken, I again had to ask twice, to two different staff for a glass of orange juice. My experience was that the breakfast and morning reception staff are inexperienced and uninterested in serving guests by any means at all. One must remain calm but persistently endure these eye rolling moody staff who would much prefer you stay elsewhere and stop interrupting their morning with your requests.

  • 2/5 Jaakko P. 2 years ago on Google
There were only a few (if any) vegan, dairy free and gluten free options at the breakfast. But the hotel itself is nice and fresh.

  • 1/5 Pedro M. 2 years ago on Google
SCAM! Do not book here! The spa does no exist (is closed for manutention) and the recepcionist tell you if you cancel your booking before check-in you will be refunded, as you were not informed before. In the end the hotel don't refund anything and they say its not their problem. The manager is out for 2 months and is not working, so forget to talk to any management. (Actualy sometimes they say its im a meeting, sometimes its on vacation, depends on who answers your calls) RUN AWAY from this place.

This is my all time favorite hotel. Rooms are nice and big. The pool has everything I wish for. The breakfast is plentiful and in a nice restaurant. When there are problems this is promptly fixed.

  • 3/5 A. W. 1 year ago on Google
Service was disappointing and trying to resolve issues with experience resulted in "Yes we are aware we locked you out of the the room over an hour before checkout and this left you in a spa robe waiting for an hour due to our systems not working. Idk not our problem" Room was pretty good, spa area perhaps a bit underwhelming, view was nice.

2 EUR for slippers in a 4 stars SPA hotel ? REALLY ? Queen size bed is not the same as two connected small beds. We have been there for 1 night to enjoy short family celebration. Here is my review: Minuses: 1. I would say it is not acceptable to ask money for 10 cents slippers in a SPA hotel. 2. You have to bring towels from you room to the SPA 3. Lobby restaurant closing on 21:00, so you can enjoy food/drinks after SPA - there is no lobby bar or anything. 4. Beddings is not comfortable. We had queen size bed (in fact it's just two connected beds) 5. Not too friendly reception madam Pluses: 1. Quite clean rooms, really 2. Nice SPA 3. Spacious rooms

Excellent hotel , great breakfast, great spa . Perfect rooms . The trainee receptionist could have made some eye contact and assisted us better when we requested a room on a higher floor..instead she said the hotel was full. We all know hotels are never at full capacity and even if they are a trained person would know how to speak with customers. She was a trainee after and can be forgiven. Other than 5*

I stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the gym, pool and spa. Hotel is very well located in terms of access to public transport, center and seashore. The staff is friendly, management is cooperative and rooms are comfortable.

I stayed for a conference. Positive that they only host one conference at a time. Rooms are clean and comfy, but windows face walls. It's packed in between other buildings. Spa is relaxing. A definite recommendation. A buffet is offered for the breakfast and conference lunches and dinner.

Spa is quite small so that was a little disappointing. But everything else is absolutely excellent 👌 Restaurants get 6/5 from me. Waiters perfect and super professional, and food, immaculate. Around the hotel service is also excellent. Cleaning lady: super nice, reception: always makes you feel welcomed, doesn't matter if you sneak out for a cigarette in a snow storm or going to spa. Great stay altogether.
