We came today to spend our last night in Estonia, we've been in Tallin before because was our first stop in this trip so we know that when it's warm you need fan air at least in your room. We choosed this hotel because in the description said fan air and double bed. We could choose other hotel but this one have what we need at reasonable price. The location is great and we wanted to spend the day walking and enjoying tallin so the only thing we need was a ventilator and a double bed! So when we came and saw the room we went to the reception, we complain about what happened and they said to us..sorry is fully booked and we only have 5 ventilators in the hotel!!!?? I've said that is not what I payed for...and they only say sorry...you can put the bed together! The room is minisize, beds are really small, bathroom...you can shower yourself in the toilet because is really small, they have a lot of noise if you open the window and no curtains enough to stop the light in the morning..so you will wake up really soon(noise and light are not a good combination) The breakfast is included but there's no much room...it's small and tasteless and you have to wait quite a lot because the toaster only allows 2 pieces at a time.. Terrible experience. Reading the description looks like perfect but it's terrible..it's better to go to a hostel it's cheaper and you will have the same experience.

I booked 3 nights in the hotel due to the reviews that I read before. The location is really good and handy for any part of the city you decide to go. About the rooms very basic and small ones, you can barely walk beside the bed. NO safety box also. The toilet didn’t have toiletries like shampoo or soap so if you book here I recommend you to bring yours. I asked at the reception and they send someone to refill the soap that you use to wash your hands and the woman doesn’t seem very happy when I told her that wasn’t what I asked for. The shower doesn’t have any door so in the end of each shower we had to dry all over the toilet because was wet all around. The breakfast very basic, but maybe it works considering that Tallin is not a cheap place to eat.

Nice service. Small rooms but clean. It is very bright in de room because of the curtains which are not sufficient. Breakfast is small but tastes good.

Nicely located hotel. At the edge of Old Town. Close to the port. Public transport close by. Staff was polite and helpful especially Anna. There are unfortunately a few downsided to an old town hotel. The rooms are small. I was staying 1 person in a twin room and it was small. Don't know how a couple or 2 persons with luggage would fare as i was backpaking it through the Baltics and bearly had place to turn in the room. There are no AC in Old town. So if outside is in the 30s so it will be in your room. One final recomandation. Skip the breakfast. It was poor. Few choices and ingredients were of poor quality. It is served in the hotel's "Italian" restaurant called Napoli. I am convinced no Itallian stepped in that kitchen. EVER. Certainly none from the south.

OMG is this a joke! While checking in to the hotel, I’m informed that they have problems with the keys (I actually believe they do not have enough keys for the entire hotel) and ask me to go by the reception to have them assist me opening the room when needed. However, when I do this the hotel clerk is obviously annoyed and is very unwilling to assist me. The rooms are OK but the most unfriendly, unprofessional and unhelpful hotel staff I have ever encountered.

Super hotel right on the edge (well, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 the edge, to be more accurate) of the walled part of the town. Nice, comfortable rooms, great service, super breakfast buffet. Conveniently positioned for walking distance to everything within the walled town, but still accessible by taxis/Bolts.

We were in the basement. The radiator was quite loud and the shower curtain smelled so sour it filled the whole room. We were there 4 days and asked for it to be changed. Though it was early evening, we were told that cleaning was gone for the day and they would do it in the morning. They never changed it, in fact we didn't even get cleaning service until the 3rd day.

Rija Old Town Hotel is a great choice if you're looking for a centrally located base for exploring Tallinn's Old Town. The hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing, with many of the city's main attractions just a short walk away. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities you need for a pleasant stay.

The iron was not functioning. No laundry service provided. The rooms were disgusting and very small. The breakfast was not tasty and not fresh. I had the feeling, they were heating up the same sausages for the whole week.

If your interest lies in Old Town, the location is excellent, especially if arriving by boat. However, the rooms left much to be desired: The bathroom had a sewer scent, the water pressure was on the weak side, the entire room was inexplicably incredibly moist (after we returned touring the Old Town! This might be a temporary thing though, if not, imminent mold problem) and the room water cooker had brown gunk in the bottom. Finally, the key cards to the rooms seemed quite unreliable, I witnessed other guests with the same issue. The breakfast buffet had a decently sized selection, though the labelling was often incorrect, or ambiguous to which the dish it referred because some lacked labelling entirely.

Our room was on the third floor with a beautiful view of the sea and harbour. It was rather small, but provided everything we needed. The same goes for the bathroom - small, but convenient and modern. Staff, at the reception as well as in the restaurant, is friendly and welcoming.

I loved this hotel, it was nice and located in the old town. Staff was helpfull and nice and the breakfast was splended (lots of fish, salads, fruits, vegetables, sweets and some meat) with okay coffee and beautiful decoration. We were there two separate times first in a bigger room: wifi did not reach the room everywhere, the double bed was comfortable and the windows were facing the road (not the old town). It wasn't too hot outside (20-25°C in july) sobwe could sleep with closed windows. No air conditioning. Bathroom was good, big with shower. Mext time we got a small room the bed was two beds next to each other so the two matraces were moving independently not really comfortable. The room was tiny and also facing the road sobwe had to sleep with closed windows and it was to warm for a good night sleep. The bathroom was ridiculusly small. This was the cheapest room they had. My advice: don't buy the cheapest room and try asking for a room facing the old town. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

Great location, nice that the hotel is situated in the city wall, close to the Ferry terminal. Good variety at breakfast and the personnell really listens to its visitors.

A very nice hotel with kind staff, clean and renovated cozy rooms. Inside the old town part of the city walls and historical building. The breakfast has everything you may wish.

Gem of a hotel situated in the Old Town, with clean, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast service included

Position Is absolutely great, bedroom is compact but comfortable and clean; the bathroom is new and well designed. What really stands out is the Breakfast service: Natalia takes care of everything with such love and care! The dining room and the buffet are at any moment super clean and filled with delicious food and local products. Even the lunch boxes we got for a very early check out were absolutely outstanding. It will be our choice every time we'll come back in Tallinn.

This hotel has a quirky layout and smallish rooms, but everything was very clean, and the location is excellent. The hotel is right on the wall of the old town, and the old town square, and everything within the walls, is easily within walking distance. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast options were good. If I return to Tallin, I'd happily stay here again.

Great location in the old town within walking distance from a lot of attractions. Cleaning was not great, carpeted floor in the hallway with big stains, in our room the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed properly. It was visibly dusty under the bed and there were silverfish crawling around. We asked to switch rooms but they were fully booked as of the next day so we got to stay in a different room the first night so that they could clean. It was better after but the carpet smelled. They should really get rid of the carpeting as it’s impossible to keep fresh. Bathroom was clean but the shower was extremely small and the curtain rod was not fixed to the wall so don’t hang more than one towel on it. The service was ok but not great, staff in reception seemed a bit annoyed by guests and the breakfast lady was stressed and rushed and kicked us out at 10:00 sharp when breakfast was closing. It’s not loud although you can occasionally hear your neighbours. They were kind enough to let us keep our bags in storage after checkout. I’d stay here again but I’d ask for a room without carpet.

Lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included. The location is great

  • 4/5 Kristina S. 7 months ago on Google
Sijainti erittäin hyvällä paikalla. Huoneet siistit. Huoneissa olisi hyvä olla myös toinen tuoli ja wc/suihkuhuoneessa jonkinlainen laskutila tavaroille. Muuten kiva huone. Aamiainen hyvä ja aamiaispaikka siisti ja hieno. Jonkinlainen kahvilatoiminta olisi hyvä myös iltaan saakka tai infosta voisi myydä jotain pientä syötävää edes. Hyvätasoinen kaiken kaikkiaan.

Stayed for a night. Breakfest excellent Rooms nice & tidy Sligthly noisy because of outside noise. Shower includes wash hat and shampoo, conditioner

Booking ilmoittaa virheellisesti, että hotellilla on pysäköinti. Todellisuudessa auto piti viedä kilometrin päähän johonkin yleiselle parkkialueelle. Luettuani jonkun kommentin homeesta ymmärrän miksi oli aamulla vähän käheä olo.

  • 3/5 Minttu R. 7 months ago on Google

Rooms are clean and cozy (and warm in the winter with the heating!) and service is good. Breakfast included, which is nice. There was trouble with getting hot water to some of the rooms but this was handled nicely as well. Our second time here and enjoyed.

Very nicely renovated. Lovely room with new bathroom. Bed and furniture are also brand new. Very clean. The hotel restaurant has a modern and delicious menu. At the same time, the price level is low. A delicious menu with the dish of the day and dessert is cheaper than a burger in the square. They offer a 15% discount to hotel guests. The hotel is built around the ring wall, which gives a great atmosphere. I can highly recommend the hotel

Rooms are clean but in average condition. Ours got quite warm and humid due to lack of ventilation options.. The breakfast is free and tastes good. Great starting point for exploring the old town (especially on a budget). Very friendly staff!

Perfect place for one night business trip. The room I stayed was clean, small but had everything you need for short visit in Tallinn. Breakfast was quite ok. The choice was really good. In conclusion the room type I had is perfect for one person. There was double bed but could not imagine two people staying in there.

Great hotel! Clean and close to old Town. Check in was easy and the room was perfect for a few nights. A bit smaller than what you're used to in the States but a good size for the cost. Bed was comfortable. Mini fridge in the room was a plus. Breakfast was really good( I'm not sure why others had a negative experience.) They served sausage, eggs, toast, ceral, fruit, and some deli meat. Would definitely recommend staying here while in Tallinn!

4 star for the room, 2 star for the breakfast. There was no coffee and no forks. I asked the woman working if there were more forks and she looked at me and said YAH! And threw her hands up. I was forced to eat my meal with a tea spoon Room was clean and very comfortable. Location is on the edge of old town.

Lovely place staff helpful room a little small no tea facilities had to ask then got kettle so then had to ask for cups we had everything else or we wouldn't have had a cuppa in the morning

  • 3/5 Chris C. 2 years ago on Google
I hoped there would be more interesting characteristics preserved in this old building. The lobby and restaurant are interesting but the rooms are dreary. The place is clean and well run, but not the personality I was looking for. Also on the edge of Old Town.

Good place to stay in old town. The room is very small, but if you need just to rest after all day that's enough. The breakfast is good, enough choise of food.

It was cozy and chill. Maybe a bit to tight in the breakfast, and the rooms are small but it was ok for us, and expected.

Perfect location if you want to stay near the Old Town and the bay area. The kitchen stuff were really nice and the food was deliciously made. I would totally go back here again.

👉 Really nice hotel in the old town. My room was a bit to small since it was on the 4th floor with very low ceiling 🤪 ▶️ Conclusion: Very clean, nicely renovated, great location 👍

Good location, rooms very small, no AC, TV too high up almost on the ceiling, shower very very basic with curtain railing. Breakfast was good.

Rija Old Town Hotel is super close to the train station (by walking), and not that far from the airport (by taxi). It is right in the Tallinn old town, which is super convenient if you want to explore this UNESCO site. The hotel is in the lovely building (photo attached) which is also part of medieval wall. You can see the wall when you enter the hotel or your room. The place is clean and lovely, and the rooms are great. I loved how rooms and bathrooms had different light settings. Even though the shower was little, the furniture&sink were chosen very well to make it feel more spacious and lovely. The room has TV, hangers, fridge, ear plugs, shoe horn, drinks, and other things. The bed was nice but I wish it was softer. It was too hot for me to sleep also, but I did not open the windows because of passing car noise (I should have used ear plugs!). The room and reception service was nice. I loved the breakfast buffet and the fact that we could eat breakfast outside. Overall, one of the best places I stayed in. I'd love to come back. Oh, and the price was great!

everything would be great if all the rooms would face in the direction of the town centre...unfortunately, most of the rooms look to one of the most busy roads in Tallinn and the trucks keep going right through your room all night...I stayed 4 days in the 3rd floor and then 1 week in the 1st floor...no good experience

  • 2/5 Greta F. 1 year ago on Google
For being a 4 star hotel the bathroom was absolutely small (I could barely fit) and the breakfast was poor, without labels telling what the food was (important for who has allergies), and the only options for vegan people were fruit and vegetables.
