Really bad experience! Spa, Aqua Park (you need to pay separately), and breakfast were good. However, the staff was HORRIBLE. The hotel was informed that we wanted double beds but on arrival, rooms were arranged for all single beds. During the night receptionist said that they didn't have bath robes to send to rooms, while in the morning they told us that there were not enough people to bring robes and suggested collecting them at the reception. Surprisingly, the receptionist refused to give bath robes and said that it was time for checkout and after the checkout robes were for an additional price. During breakfast, my friend came in a robe and one of the waitresses/cleaning ladies give a remark to him that it's not allowed to come to breakfast dressed like that. While another girl who let us in for breakfast said nothing at all. While all these happen in ESTONIA, the hotel displays the Russian flag at the reception and an "Award" from Travel.ru. We said that it would be nice not to have a flag there but they said we want to please Russian guests. The latter says everything about this hotel. if you decide to go to Spa, don't pay money for the hotel just get Spa and Aquapark access. Slava Ukraine!

If you’re willing to travel to the 1990s while paying a premium, you found the place. Otherwise look elsewhere. The only good thing was the (overworked) really nice staff. Helpful and understanding, everything else was just bad. How bad? We booked 2 days but left 5 hours after our check-in. The main reason was the lack of soundproofing. We were able to hear (non exhaustive list and in random order): - A baby crying - Children laughing - A cleaning lady energetically cleaning the nearby room (above, or on the same floor? No idea) - People talking - Cars outside driving on the road All of this while staying in our room with a closed door. Add the lack of AC to that list. At this point you’re probably wondering: « am I reading the review of a snowflake or is it that bad? » If we had paid 35€ for the night, the hotel would have gotten 5 stars. But at 75€ a night, not even in the center, this is way overpriced. As mentioned above, the staff was very understanding and helpful, but one cannot do anything when the owners are either oblivious to the state of their hotel or just greedy. Disclaimer: as we did not see ourselves getting to relax in this environment, we left 5 hours after check-in and we did not get to try the SPA, so this review is only about the hotel, written by a couple without children. Your mileage may vary if you do have children and are there for the SPA and waterpark.

Once again we realized that trusting internet reviews is not always recommended since some of the reviews painted a picture that Viimsi Spa & Hotel is some rundown Soviet Era where nothing works. But that is not the case and this time the positive reviews were right. The reception was welcoming and our questions were answered. Price was decent and included spa access as well as breakfast. We also bought the 18+ Spa for 20 euros per person. There is indeed "only" two elavators but I don't get the complaints about them. They were regular size and you had to wait for them the same time as in any other place that has a lot of people. The interior and exterior of the hotel seemed to be renovated or at least repaired recently and there was some new renovation going on inside. The room was clean and tidy with a modern Nordic feel to it but I get that since the rooms weren't all white and with Marimekko Finnish people might complain. Our room was on the sixth floor with window facing south and it could be opened to get a nice breeze to the room since there was no A/C. We slept really well, mostly thanks to being really tired after 2000 km drive and sitting in the car and as well as relaxing in the spa. Breakfast was good and I've seen much worse in hotels that claim to be better quality. There was plenty to choose from and you could satisfy your hunger. There was a lot of people for sure but no real queues and there was tables free, also there is outside seating. Albeit the terrace was on the backside of the building and in the shade so on a colder day it's not the best place to be. But at least there was a nice smell of diesel from somewhere. :) Spa access was nice and the spa was okay. There is plenty of saunas to choose from, some relaxing and some very, very hot. On the regular spa side there was one bigger pool, jacuzzi and few smaller pools. And sure there were children there and noise but what place with children wouldn't have noise? And if you hate children so much you can always buy the access to the 18+ Spa for a child free experience to relaxation. There was plenty of saunas on that side too and pools for relaxing without noise pollution. You could also rub yourself with Saaremaa mud in one of the rooms. All in all s solid experience even if the pools are not that big. Also both spa sides offer different kind of sauna rituals that are worth to check out. In conclusion I recommend Viimsi Spa & Hotel for everyone visiting Estonia.

Visited Regular spa, 18+Spa was closed until 14:00 Don't waste your spa experience here...there is so many other NEW! beautiful places around in Tallinn Very old, smelly, not to crowed but to many elderly people. over 12 years ago it was best spa in town..very sad

Hotell is clean and quite ok for family holiday, but you cannot find any luxury about it. Rooms were clean and fine, but quite minimalistic. Breakfast could be better and better quality. It take away hunger but lack of taste. Luckily they have free parking. Waterpark is great for kids.

I was surprised to read the bad reviews about the hotel and spa as my experience at Viimsi Spa was completely different. This review is about the 18+ spa, I do not know about the other one. Last Wednesday my husband and I spent a wonderful relaxing afternoon and evening here. Natalia at the reception was very patient and helped us to find the package best suited for our needs, so that we got the best value for our money. I enjoyed a wonderful oriental massage and a facial treatment with Jiew, who is not only a highly skilled professional, but was very customer friendly and considered my needs and special wishes at all times. The staff behind the bar and on the premises (unfortunately I do not recall the names of the two ladies) were very welcoming, spoke perfect English and did everything in their power to make us feel like special guests. We come to the Viimsi 18+ Spa as frequently as we can, I highly recommend it!

I got a massage and it was the worst. I asked multiple times for the pressure to be increased and the masseuse said OK, more pressure, after which she did not change anything at all. It became clear that she did not plan to exert herself in any way, rather to just lightly rub oil onto me. Never go here. There are many excellent spas in Tallinn/Estonia, including ones where they speak perfect English and offer children's treatments for little ones as well; this is not one.

Very sad that this Spa Hotel has such a poor policies, they don't know what is a good customer service and not interested to improve that. Any communication through website forget about it, it takes hours or even days to reply to you. Cleanliness below average, hospitality is awful. Better pick a different Hotel.

Be careful with your hair, after visiting the spa and pool, your hair, especially the blond, can get a light green shade. That's the chemistry there. And an appeal to the spa manager will turn into accusations and insults from the manager. Apparently I am not the one one victime. 🤦‍♀️

Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff members at the spa 18+ entrance. It felt that we were not only not welcomed, but simply annoying staff member with our presence. Decided to leave the place without paying a visit. Very disgusted!

Breakfast is varied. It is possible to have breakfast indoors and also on the outdoor terrace. The spa area is at a very good level. There are various salt baths, a pool of 25 meters and several small pools and Jacuzzis. There are several high temperature saunas as well as an outdoor pool. I recommend visiting both with children and with friends. 20-25 minutes drive to the center.

Ordinary SPA area has too little amount of saunas. But good salt and steam sauna, also wooden sauna is nice. Otherwise not really sure what they did renovate there. Men locker room and lockers are small. Would recomend, but could be less expensive, due to having not so many Saunas.

Kinda below average place. 18+ spa added most value here. Breakfast was very entry level. Felt like a cheap motel. Food was very bland and had very basic options. Nothing bad to say. If you are hungry, you will find food there but dont expect much. Hotel room had no soap. Also be careful when trusting employees. We ordered many drinks in the spa and a food platter. The staff told us that "dont worrey we will keep it safe while you go to the saunas". Once we came back the food was gone and they didnt give us any reason why, couldnt solve the situation and no money back. We lost around half of what we ordered while they promised that they keep it safe for us. Not coming back here.

Good spa, a lot of exciting saunas. Unfortunately it is not 18+ in the time of the reconstruction of the children's part and the staff do not bother to inform you...very annoying

The room was clean, air-conditioned. Pools and saunas are nice and clean. Breakfast comprehensive and affordable. Parking places are few and hard to find, but a good vacation spot for adults and children

If you are looking for a MODERN, CALM and RELAXING place to spend time with your partner... I would NOT recommend this one. ROOM: The decoration, furnitures, and smell are still from the 90's. There is a lot a families with children (crying, yelling, running,...). Very noisy ventilation. Strong smell of humidity/moisture? SPA AREA: We went to the Spa area around 17:00 on a Saturday. It was really crowded. We couldn't go to the classic sauna due to the big queue of people waiting for their turn outside. We tried the 60°c sauna. It was not warm and not really relaxing due to the noise outside. The floor was accumulating a lot of water, it was dirty and really slippery. We couldn't stay more than an hour there. We opted for the non-mixed sauna in the changing room, separately (each on our side). In the women side the showers are really old. The door to access to the pool is straight in front of the area where you leave your towel to go for shower. Means that when I was naked, people from the pool were able to see me when someone opened the door at this moment 😥. FOOD: Dinner and breakfast offered a large choice of food but taste and quality was a disappointment as well. GYM: Positive point maybe was the Gym! It looked new and there was a lot of choice of machines. But once again disappointed about the treadmill which didn't work for interval Running!

Stay away from this hotel! It has bedbugs and they refuse to take responsibility for it. Take your money to a nicer place and save follow-up costs from pest extermination in your own home,

We have been many times at this hotel in the past but this time we have enjoyed even more our stay. The water park has been renovated and has been simplified the access to it, making it easier to move around with kids from the room to the spa and the water park. In rest the breakfast was nice as usually. There was a diner offer during our stay with 45 euro tor a family of 4 with small kids that was nice addition. The only problem is that can get really busy during late breakfast hours. Maybe some extension to the hours to the late could be beneficial. Please note that you need to pay a small fee around 30 euro for all the days you stay to get access to the neighbouring water park. There is plenty of parking out the hotel free of charge but during hectic hours can be challenging to find a parking space.

Meillä oli sviitti mutta huone oli muuten aika perus hotellihuone. Plussana hyvä sänky. Suosittelen 18+ spata jos haluaa rentoutua rauhassa.

Palvelu oli suorastaan ala-arvoista. Respassa ei tervehditty ja mitään palvelua ei saanut kuin itse kysymällä ja silloinkin se tuli pitkällä mulkaisulla varustettuna. Allasosastolla joku oli vahingossa vienyt kylpytakkini ja henkilökunnalta avunpyyntöön reaktiona sai kommentin "en voi tehdä sille mitää" ja selänkääntö. Aamiainen on valikoimaltaan keskiverto, mutta laadultaan kaikki tarjottava on melko heikkoa ja osa ruuista oli meidän mennessämme jo kylmettynyt ja kuivahtanut. Myöskään hotellin sisäinen viestintä ei selvästi toiminut sillä olimme varanneet lisämaksusta myöhäisemmän huoneen luovutuksen klo. 14. Tästä huolimatta siivoaja tunki huoneeseen klo 12 häätämään meitä. Vähän siinä romanttisen ja rauhallisen aamun tunnelma kärsi kun siivoaja selvästi vihaisena jankasi kuinka luovutus on klo 12. Ainut positiivinen asia matkassamme oli hieronta, jossa hierojat olivat asiansa osaavia ja ystävällisiä.

Great hotel with good breakfast and a nice spa. Affordable access to waterpark. Only negatives are minimalistic air conditioning in the rooms (it gets very warm even in the winter) and paper thin walls so you will hear everything from the neighboring rooms.

18+ spa was clean and nice. They offer frech fruits and cold water but absolutely did not like that do drink water you have to use this plastic cups.. most of spas in Estonia has this paper cones for some sip of water. Less plastic!!!

Kävimme täällä aamupalalla seurueen kanssa. Aamupala oli maittava ja hyvä. Perus aamupala: leipää, leivän päällisiä, pekonia, nakkeja, munaa, puuroa, jugurttia, jälkiruokia, pannukakkuja, jäätelöä, kahvia, teetä jne. Loppuneet ruuat henkilökunta täydensi nopeasti ja paikka oli siisti, sekä viihtyisä, eikä paikan päällä ollut liikaa ihmisiä. Ruokaa sai hakea, ilman jonottamista.

Spa was okay but dirty. Service was rude and unprofessional. No drinking water in the room and no soap or wash gel. This hotel is in the past and try’s to compete without improving. It feels like third world hotel, everything is worn or broken and also old. Even curtains were with holes.

I got a massage at +18 section and it was supposed to be a Thai massage. To be honest, it was the worst experience ever. Massage was about putting oil all over and I didn’t feel like I was in a massage. After it was finished, I was so upset that I chose this place. As I was leaving, there were towels on the floor all over on the stairs for me to pass by. Those are the towels used in the massage and dirty ones were all over the place. I would not recommend the place to anyone.

Spa 18+ now lets in kids and administrators do not even bother to warn you! Combined with drunk visitors who are only there to get wasted and make noise, there is no relaxation and spa experience at all.

Services such as the SPA18+ and the atlantis water-parck are formidable. However, I rented the room with sauna and it was unfortunate, you have to ask the lobby every time you want to turn on the sauna (then they don't answer). Also, the sauna spoon was broken. The SPA barista is always annoying! I think I would go back but only to the SPA, I recommend better an airbnb.

Biggest part of spa was closed for renovations but price was not reduced. Most of available saunas barely warm. Poor choice of complimentary drinks. Showers of cheap quality, few broken. Chill out zone is too cold. Price is too high for this quality.

Discovered spa18+ It’s same spa as usual but little more expensive and there is no kids. True relaxation. For 3 hours of stay you pay 30€ You get robe and towel and welcome drink. There is 2 floors of different steam rooms, couple jacuzzis, hot bath reminded Japanese bath. There is complimentary water and fruits. Room to lay down. Personally I think there is no time to do that in such a short visit. Probably it’s worth to stay overnight in the hotel the experience spa in full.

Good parking options, a cinema and a pub right there. Recommend getting a massage at the Spa. Also nice saunas, enjoyed the sauna ritual. Best is the 18+ section, it is very relaxing there, tho quite loud. Nice food there and drinks. Recommend the tapas selection. Great time always

Excellent facility for a family with kids. We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the spa was just right. The English pub is located right next to the kids play room, which is just an awesome idea in its own. Parents can go to the pub while the kid(s) goes to play. We will certainly be back.

Great hotel, comparable to world class 4* hotels. Rooms had a nice view, breakfast was very plentiful and free spa access made everything amazing. Probably the best value family weekend getaway you can find in Estonia

Good prices, good spa but pretty bad customer service, needs training everyone. Room was not comfortable and not clean enough. Location bad, so far away from city center. In addition we had issues with payment, which is not our fault. This Hotel is maximum 2 star.

Viimsi spa has a wide selection of saunas. Cold and hot water pools. A special 18+ spa area for people who want peace and queit. It's located just outside of the Tallinn city limits. It even has a swimming pool for doing laps when you want to train not just have fun. After wards you can go to the pub next door or movies upstairs.

No air conditioning at 80euros a night, your having a laugh right?!?!? When I asked a reception they basically just laughed at me "yeah we don't have ac"

We were willing to look past the lack of cleanliness and the overall 90s feel of this place, but it was the lack of soundproofing that made us leave our weekend getaway five hours after the check-in. There are a lot of families, so you are likely to hear a lot of talking, yelling, stomping, crying and slamming of doors, so no, not an ideal place for a romantic and relaxing spa weekend for two and hopefully the management will make some renovations to the rooms ASAP as the tiling and overall interior is very outdated and overpriced. The staff however was very kind and nice, just looked a bit overwhelmed and exhausted.
