😠 Unfortunately the worst hotel experience ever. We had NO HOT WATER for 2 nights and had to shower using cold water (including washing our twin babies with cold water, really uncomfortable). The owner didn’t believe us and finally even accused us of lying!!! He sent us very annoying and impolite text... People often mention room, hotel, nice, breakfast, bathroom, broken, city,

Unfortunately the worst hotel experience ever. We had NO HOT WATER for 2 nights and had to shower using cold water (including washing our twin babies with cold water, really uncomfortable). The owner didn’t believe us and finally even accused us of lying!!! He sent us very annoying and impolite text messages. We still can’t understand how the hotel has a pretty good review history if the owner’s attitude is so impolite. We left before the end of our booking and moved to Hotel Hestia Kentmanni instead (lost 1 night’s cost, but Hestia was worth it).

I recently stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions with two of my friends. While everything else about the hotel was acceptable, there were some notable issues with the rooms we stayed in. During our first stay in Room 1, we encountered several problems. Firstly, the bathroom lighting was broken, resulting in a dimly lit and somewhat gloomy atmosphere. The bathroom floor was poorly built with pebbles, making it challenging to maintain cleanliness and causing gunk to get stuck in between. This led to an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Additionally, the toilet in the bathroom was also broken, which was quite inconvenient. We also noticed the presence of silverfish in the bathroom, which was a bit unsettling. The bed in Room 1 was sunken in, making it uncomfortable to sleep on and challenging to get out of in the mornings. Moreover, both the floors in the room and neighboring rooms creaked, leading to a constant noise that disrupted our peace. Lastly, although we had booked the room for three people, the beds were only made for two, which was disappointing and inconvenient. On our second stay in Room 2, we encountered similar issues. The bathroom lighting was once again broken, resulting in a dimly lit environment. The shower cabin in this room was also problematic as it shook, making us feel uneasy while using it. Additionally, the drain was clogged, causing water to accumulate during showers. And once again, despite booking the room for three people, the bed for the third person was not made. Although these issues were certainly inconvenient and affected our overall experience, it's worth noting that the other aspects of the hotel were satisfactory. However, it would be beneficial for the management to address these room-specific issues, including the broken bathroom lighting, pebble floor, broken toilet, presence of silverfish, uncomfortable bed, and the creaking floors. Additionally, it would be helpful if measures were taken to improve the soundproofing between rooms to reduce the disturbance caused by neighbors' creaking floors. These improvements would undoubtedly enhance the comfort and convenience for future guests.

So lovely that staying at Paivilla is in itself an experience! An old villa with a sense of old-timey luxury has been turned into a welcoming guest house with love. The decor gives you the feeling of stepping into a slightly magical world. A dedicated cook prepares a delicious and abundant breakfast buffet. On the terrace, in the evening, you are treated to slow jazz music in the background. You are made welcome by the nicest person in the world, the host - who, by the way, has received a medallion by none other than the President of Estonia!

This is a family run hotel and they could not have been better hosts. Our suite was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is showing some age in various areas, but upkeep and maintenance is constant and almost impossible to keep up with. The breakfast is wonderful, and the terrace, common area backyard and grounds are very calming considering you're only meters away from the big city.

-The location is in the outer part of the city, but there's a bus station 3 min walking from the villa where you can take the bus, and in 15 min you'll be downtown. -The owner is a nice, friendly and likeable person, by email he agreed to receive me after midnight and he even gave me tips to reach the villa in an easiest way. He speaks a good English and Russian. -The villa has a B&B concept, the house is just amazing, beautifully designed for comfort, and fill with good taste in every detail. -The room was way above my expectations, the bed and pillows were incredible comfy, the room decoration was great, the Wi-Fi worked without problems, there was a coffee and a tea stand inside the room, the bathroom had shampoo, soap and other amenities included, the water pressure and temperature were excellent. -The breakfast next day was the cherry on top of this amazing place, I woke up in the morning with the smell of fresh bread coming out of the oven, the buffet was one of the best I have ever eat before, made with fresh products and a wide variety of options to choose, all was delicious.

Do not take room number one! Very small, close to noisy stairs, third bed (which we needed and explicitly asked for) was poor and broken, although real bed was promised. Rotten broken window, door could not be locked even from inside, not at all like the photos. Dust bin in room full of old rubbish. Broken floor, dirty shower.

Probably the worst hotel stay I've ever had. I just needed one night to rest before my morning flight, so I've chosen the hotel based on the location, which was indeed both close to the city centre and airport. The reception is completely unmanned, there is just a paper with a key and your name. So I'm left stranded looking around for my room with a heavy suitcase. I was quite surprised to find out that my "room with a balcony" turned out to be a shipping container in the backyard with a bathtub literally next to bed, not in a romantic way. The room wasn't cleaned, the bedsheets were stained. I found someone's hair in the bathtub and in the bed pillows. There was someone's cigarette filter on the floor. There is no sink. The wires around the bathtub made me question several times how safe it is to shower there. The breakfast was ok. No people at the reception at check out either.

Went there last year October. It was a mixed experience. The host did allow us for early check in without any extra charge but the room was not upto the mark. The pictures and description provided does not match in real. We had booked the room for four people, but the beds were only made for three, which was disappointing. The buffet breakfast was ok. I hope the hosts will take care of this.

Came here in December. The Owner was very kind to us and the food was wonderful. We also loved the dog that we saw once or twice she was very sweet. It was a home away from home. We loved it. We had a great room and location for the price.

The best place in Tallinn to stay. I'm here already second time and it's just amazing. Staff is always so friendly and nice and helpful. I was super surprised and amazed this time when manager of the place was so helpful when I got sick and needed ambulance called. He did it for because I felt too dizzy to talk to anybody. Brought me things to make me feel better. Tea, something to measure my temperature with and so on. I am very grateful and I was positively surprised about their very caring attitude. It's not something I've seen very often. Besides just caring human beings you'll find wonderful backyard that is especially helpful if you're traveling with little kids. And wonderful view from your room. 😀

Another great example of perfect, customer oriented and extremely dogfriendly hotel: - we got special price for our 2 little Jackies - our 4 Huskies were allowed to run free in fenced-in wide garden area + staff was very friendly multilingual helpful at any time + excellent dinner and huge breakfast buffet + special soup for breakfast (Russian/Ukrainian style with 7 different ingredients and different meats) for breakfast + very nice, with lot of love decorated rooms + each room is different from the others + nice world-wide cup selection/exhibition of the owners + owners took time and patience talking with the customers It's a little paradise in the city of Tallinn and we would like to come back any time

Fantastic host, very thoughtful and kind. Speaks many languages and always there to help. The room was very nice and clean, TV has a lot of channels. There's a variety of things to do in the garden. Breakfast was good and varied with plenty there. Only five ish minutes on the bus to the centre.

Very nice hotel a little outside the city center but very easy to get to by taxi. Rooms are spacious and clean, comfy beds and the most beautiful terrace with a view on the garden. Breakfast is ok.
