When we asked the hotel staff and tourist service center for advice, they recommended joining a day trip as the best way to reach our destination. However, they also informed us that tours may not be available on weekdays in May. The hotel staff even suggested hiring a car to get to the location via Bolt. However, we decided to try something different and opted to take the local bus to the park. The weather was lovely that day, and the scenery in the park was breathtaking. The pathways were easy to walk and navigate. I would definitely visit this park again in the future.

I went on a day tour to Lahemaa national park from Tallinn, and it was absolutely beautiful. So many nice sites and views but we were also blessed with good weather.

Great huge park, several amazing hiking trails, highly recommend. Surprising number or private roads and private land for a state park, but if you know where the trails are and just go for them, you won't be disappointed!

Very beautiful coast and forest with boulders at the sea shore. There is a very beautiful 15 km hike starting from Kismu, it’s a loop along the sea shore and then in the forest. If you visit Estonia 🇪🇪, it’s worth coming in this National park where you can hike or cycle. Go beyond Tallinn if you really want to visit Estonia.

It is my first visit to Estland. One place to be for nature lovers is Lahemaa National Park. It is one of the areas I visited, that is a candy for the soul. Do hiking, biking or swimming or just sitting at one of the Ostsee beaches and read a book or listen to music or the sound of the wind. Enjoy pine tree and birch woods in hiking and find historical places. Treat the area with respect and have a wonderful time.

It is a beautiful national park. I highly recommend going here. Don't forget to pack your swimming suit, cause you can go for a swim in one of the small lakes.

Beautiful national park in the countryside in-between Tallinn and the Russian border. There is a round way from "Viru raba (parkla)", which you can walk and it takes about 1h 20min (just walking distance, in snow) when you take a little time to watch it can get easy above 3h. I felt like in an winter wonderland and on top of that we were there on an tower as the sun set .. it was very calm and beautiful!

MA-MA-MIA! By far the best National park I have visited on my time here on earth. Estonia is already a nature-focused country but this place is a gem in a gem. You can feel the fresh air moving through your nostrils with every single breath. This was on a summer evening in July and it was the perfect time. Would 100% recommend.

Park offers diverse activities: hike trails, beached, forest trails etc. If you enjoy nature then here you'll have loads to see and do.

It's the second most famous place in Estonia after the Old Town in Tallinn. It's the largest National Park in Estonia. Definitely a must visit while in Estonia and for all nature lovers. I try to go every month. There are several excellent sandy beaches and many hiking trails with spectacular photo opportunities. There are also a few BBQ places where you can camp for free and grill some food (RMK Telkimisala).

Perfect for a day trip from Tallinn. If the weather is good you can do 2-3 short trails and see the diversity of the park.

Very nice place at half an hour of Talinn! You can walk in the Woods or have a swim. You can get a tan on the beach or do some exercices on one of the out door fitness stations you can find everywhere. Locals have their holidays cabin (more a real house) here.

Nõmmeveski is an old ruin of Hydroelectric Powerplant at Valgejõgi Estonia. Thanks to the beautiful nature and combination of the ruins makes this location more mystical and mysterious. To me as a photographer it creates endless possibilities to photography the landscape or portraits with ruins in the background. This place is well known and probably every photographer in Estonia has some photos of this location. Take time and go explore this place and it’s surroundings. It’s well worth it.

Make sure the weather is sunny. Cloudy and rainy weather make it difficult to enjoy the view and walk on the designated path. Especially when there are ppl walking towards you. Passing each other can be tricky

This park is awesome, waterfalls, beaches, and vast forests. Great place to spend a day or two and it is just hour away from Tallinn.

We enjoyed 4 days of hiking in Laheema. Every day was absolutely worth it. Good area for cycling and hiking. Most of the trails are best on foot though.

Very beautiful place! We have been there in 3 of 4 seasons, and the autumn is the best time to visit it!

  • 5/5 B. 2 years ago on Google
Nature pure! I can only recommend it. Maybe don't come in the late autumn as it would be so cold and windy! Restrooms are available!
