The food was so delicious! I loved the flavours and the taste of the beef was fantastic, besides the sauce and the mushroom purè were amazing, not to mention that the staff are really friendly and very cool.

The food was incredible but the waiters are what made it extra special. Ours was hilarious with a dry humour that really made us laugh. The atmosphere was lovely as well with plants and lanterns all about. Don’t hesitate to try this exceptional restaurant.

A very special restaurant with a modern twist of Estonian cuisine in the heart of the old town. The staff(Aaron) helpful, very kind, hospitable and polite. The food is perfect. The relationship between price and quality goes hand in hand. I highly recommend it.

Food was very good! Portion size was big enough, at least I left feeling satisfied. Elk was super good and the sauce was especially great. Would come again! The service was good although quite slow, but we came in quite busy lunch time and there was only one waitress serving the outside tables so it was understandable. My partner's medium rare steak was also more like medium+, but otherwise her meal was very good.

This restaurant definitely lives up to its great reviews and the hype from international food critics! The food was impeccable! My elk was tender and flavourful. Presentation was also done elegantly. Estonian wines are few and far between, but the white wine I had from the restaurant was delightful and of high quality. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality of the food and service I received. My wonderful waitress Ava was very personable from the moment we walked in. She explained each dish in detail and provided good background information on Estonian wines. I was especially taken back by her professionalism, which was impressive for her young age. She also went above and beyond with her suggestions for local bars and clubs. Lisa is also wonderful waitress I can’t help but mention by name. Another group of diners across from us were being very unreasonable and disrespectful. She maintained great composure and was able to control the situation to ensure a good experience for the other dinners in the restaurant. Lisa didn’t serve me personally, but was very friendly and I witnessed her impressive work ethic from afar. Overall, I’d have breakfast lunch and dinner here if I wasn’t leaving the city. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Cute small place. Nice atmosphere. No AC was pretty hot for a sunny day. Taste were pleasent. Not that expensive not that cheap above average prices. Portions were normal just enough to be satisfied. Service was great. Enjoyed the evening.

We ate dinner here for a Birthday celebration. Staff were very customer focused, friendly and chatty. Dinning area at the back felt cosy, contemporary yet keeping a rustic charm. Food was tasty and beautifully presented rather than piled high and we were not rushed. Estonian wines were a real surprise and good. We enjoyed for our special occasion, would return and recommend.

It's rare going somewhere where the food but also the service and the location are all flawless. Rataskaevu 16 is one of those places. Everything from starters to dessert was delicious. The restaurant atmosphere is cozy, inviting and well decorated. The staff is very kind and reactive. 100% recommend.

The food was excellent and authentic without feeling too tourist friendly (even if it was). The place is cool looking and the vibe is great. Cocktails are strong and beautiful (wha's that you are saying. Oh, man, one was enough). Staff all speak English. Not for anyone who can't hack stairs...

The restaurant is located in beautiful old town. The food is very tasty and more than this, they brought us traditional bread to taste it. (And it tastes very good). Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful, they told us interesting details about the dishes we served. I recommend!

Don't know what to say besides it was one of the best meals we've had in a while. Wonderful selection of Estonian and regional specialties, with some nice wines, beers and cider to go with them. The entrees (flounder and elk) were superb. Don't skip out on desert, the highly reputed bread pudding was delicious! The service was also superior, very friendly and knowledgeable server. Highly recommend!

One of the most awesome dining experiences I have had in my almost 61 years. The staff were over friendly, very knowledgeable, kind, courteous and explained menu choices in detail. The food was out-of-this-world delicious. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Tallinn, just make sure to make reservations. Also, the atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and the decor rocks.

The food and the service here are incredible. They truly want you to feel comfortable while you eat their delicious food. You can see the effort the staff put into preparing the drinks and each of the dishes. I highly recommend coming and trying any of the meals.

It's a good restaurant, but 4.8 is too high, maybe 4.5. As others have stated portions are a bit small. There should be a bit more vegetables and starch with the entree. Homemade bread was fantastic.

The food was great and the service was also fantastic. Also tasty with plenty of mushrooms. House beer was excellent as was the asparagus soup. They have menu's in Estonian, English and Finnish. Was to lucky to get a seat without a reservation and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Located center in the old town, and the food was fantastic with the fusion of Estonia food. The service was absolutely friendly and kind. Highly recommended since I enjoy a lot the dinner experience here. Thanks again for the team.

The food is very delicious. I had the beef tenderloin and it was the best I have ever eaten. Simon, my waiter, was very helpful, funny and super polite. He made excellent recommendations and I loved every bite.

One of the most recommended fancy restaurants in town, you must reserve this place if you're visiting during peak season at least a month before. I was lucky to be able to walk in as we visited during low peak season, around end-August during the rainy season. The service level here is definitely the strongest quality of the place, as the wait staff are incredibly friendly and chatty. They took time to introduce the dishes and made good recommendations on what to eat and drink. We tried the asparagus soup, chicken fillet and elk steak, all which are good. The asparagus soup was something different that we're used to, while the chicken fillet turned out to be juicy and tender. The eld meat was okay for us, likely because it's somewhat tougher, but still it was a good dish to try. Price is unsurprisingly on the higher end, given the high quality of food and service. If you're looking to try uniquely Estonian food with a fine dining flavour, I strongly recommend this restaurant. Bonus tip: Do also check out their toilet. Quite an experience.

Visiting from Chicago. Loved it here. Had the Daily Dose drink, duck & flounder, all very yummy. Bread pudding comes highly recommended but I might not order it again, quite large and dry for my taste (American preference maybe). Service was spectacular. Be prepared to spend ~ 2 hours here as food is very thoughtfully prepared. Definitely worth it.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal in this beautiful restaurant in Tallinn’s Old City. After a disappointing lunch in the main square we were thrilled to secure a last-minute reservation here. With gracious service, great wine, wonderful bread fresh from the oven and terrific main courses of flounder and spinach-mushroom risotto, it was the perfect end to our visit to this historic city. Highly recommend!

I can see why this place has such high ratings. Fully booked on a Sunday night but luckily they kindly offered us a table as walk-ins. From the Estonian ginger apple lemonade to my main course fish dish and ending with bread pudding for dessert everything was absolutely delicious and the perfect meal after a long day walking all over the city. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again!!

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening. We had checked beforehand for a table and it was a good job as we did have to book a table. It was fairly quiet as they did not overbook. The food was amazing and also decently priced. The waiter George was very attentive and spent plenty of time making sure we got everything we needed. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

I do not lie when I say that our waitress has by far been the kindest and most friendly one I have ever met! We were delighted with the personal touch and exceptional attention to detail, from the service to the presentation of the dishes to the taste. The appetizer of duck breast is just amazing!!! The asparagus soup and chocolate cakes are also very delicious. However the most famous deer meat we don’t like it that much. It is a bit meaty and dry. The staff is super friendly. In general I recommend it.

Great restaurant for a dinner! Make sure that you book a table because restaurant was completely booked on Thursday evening. I ate fish and it was so great and so delicious that's hard to explain. Strongly recommended!!! My colleagues took chicken and they said it was bit dry. They serve only bottled beer, that's a minus. But I give 5 stars because if the great fish and cosy atmosphere.

Location is great, in the Old Town near lots of the sites. I had the spinach orzotto which was amazing and came very fast. Service was great, very polite and friendly. The waiter, I think his name was Raymond possibly, gave me great recommendations for things to do in Tallinn, would definitely recommend!

I have never felt so welcome as here. Their bread was delicious. The presentation of the food was top-notch with lovely staff. The combination of flavours you get on your plate is indescribable. I need to return and try their pumpkin soup. Thank you for the lovely note on the receipt ❤️.

Our walking tour recommended this restaurant in the strongest terms and, despite our high expectations, it did not disappoint! The food was fantastic and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The interior is very charming and cosy, though there is an outdoor patio that is no less delightful on a sunny day.

Brilliant service, some of the best ever experienced in Europe. The food is top notch, had the Estonian cheese plate with red wine and the braised elk. Husband has beef and hot chocolate cake. Everything was excellent, great prices for central old town and really atmospheric and unique location. The staff were really exceptional, went above and beyond to tell us about the dishes and share their recommendations. We got lovely letter on the napkin with our dessert and a message with our bill too 🥳 will be back! Thanks guys and bravo!!!

We have visited this restaurant last weekend and it was amazing. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, always asked and suggested from a menu. Also told a bit about the place, as it was quite historic. Great ambiance and music. Highly recommend trying the beef soup and elk slow-cooked meat. It was delicious. Everything was perfect.

The food was very delicious - from the entrance to desserts. The staff was very attentive (not annoyingly attentive) and our needs were all satisfied on time. We had wine in our glass and lovely notes on napkins (written by the staff).

This place never fails to please us during our special days. We visit Rataskaevu 16 for birthday celebrations, anniversaries etc and we always leave with a belly full of delicious food (and drinks!) plus with a huge smile on our faces. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy, the menu is rich and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to spoil yourself.

The thousands of 5-star reviews do not lie. Wow. Great, great food. I had the roasted elk, which was amazingly tender, delicious, and perfectly paired with the vegetables and sauce. I also had the bread pudding with quince ice cream, which was a great mix of crisp and soft, sour and sweet. On top of the food amazing, the service was spectacular. My waiter was so friendly and helpful. With restaurants, you come the first time for the food and come back for service. This restaurant hits both out of the park. My tour guide said this was the best restaurant in Estonia, and I think he was not wrong!

The service and atmosphere are 10 stars, would go there again just to enjoy (we were at annex). The beet carpaccio was one of best dishes we’ve had thus far on trip. Bread and warm chocolate cake - fantastic! The fish soup and elk were good. My elk was a little tough for being braised and sauce could have been richer. But overall, great great experience!

Went there for my birthday dinner in September. Overall a professional restaurant with crowds. Service could be busy sometimes. The food was good but slightly price in Tallin standard. The cocktail was really nice. The staff was really nice and it was lovely of them singing for my birthday. The toilet was cool.

He explained to us each of our dishes, he also gave us good advices on what to visit in Tallinn. Some home-made bread has been offered to us (really good!). We would definitely recommend this place. Just great! The atmosphere is cool but cozy with exposed stone and old beams. Our server was very friendly and a great ambassador for Estonia. The food was interesting (many components) and delicious. The elk roast and bread pudding were standouts.

The meal composition and flavour was just something one doesn't usually experience on a casual vacation lunch. The waiter was exceptional with his friendly introductions to each course. The setting provides cosiness and fine-dining quality at the same time. Waiting times are quite long but worth it. Definitely a must-go once back in Tallinn.

After several attempt, we were finally able to book a table and what an experience! Place is unique, nicely decorated with a brick and rock ambient. Food is just excellent, with the service explaining each ingredient for the dishes. Can't wait to be back!
