Beautiful building. This building has two sectors. One is for Ballet and the other is for music. I watched ballet.

The atmosphere is great. I loved the ballet about Louis XIV. I have enjoyed my every visit to Estonian National Opera. If you like quality culture, this is a place to go.

I didn't go inside but it looked nice from the outside.

The ballet “Cinderella”, 03/5/2024 was terrible! Some 25th member of the ballet troupe presented this work. Horrible costumes - cheap! But this is not the most important thing. The composition is unrealistically unprofessional - some kind of collective farm on export. Ballerinas and their partners who do not know how to perform PA. I invited friends. We had a loggia and a table during intermission, and also friends bought seats in the stalls (and left the 2nd section) In general, the question is who looked at these ballet ones? And why did you sell us this,???!

This is a nice smaller theater. There really are no bad seats. I liked the balcony so I could look down into the orchestra. The acoustics were good. The acting was okay and I'm not an expert so that should tell you something.

Historic building with great Opera house. Recommend seeing a show there. You must buy tickets months in advance tho

The stuff which coordinates visitors are awful! I had the ticket for second balcony. I arrived in the nice of time to theatre. I told to administrator which checked my ticket where was toilet. She asked that I have to go to second balcony and there go to toilet. She found the man who lead me to this balcony. Exactly to opposite side where my ticket was located... I talked to local administrator at that balcony about toilet location. She told me that it not enough time to go now. I have to go there during intermission after first act. I started to argue this opinion... At that moment they closed all doors and ballet had been started. Finally I had to wait 35 minutes for visiting toilet there! I found this inappropriate behavior. BTW if there is free place you can move to it without any problem. They could even suggest me to seat to parter there were quiet enough free places. Medea is quiet good technical performance. However, it doesn't show emotional for such kind of tragedy as it should be if consider the plot of play. Can't recommend this ballet for visiting. Also, I found price too high for performance with such level.

Estonian National Opera offers classical operas, operettas, ballets and concerts for all opera lovers. Many programs are in Estonian, but they are always subtitled in English for those who don't uderstand Estonian. The house is beautiful and worth visiting as such, also the intermission snacks are a delight as the theatre makes for example there own chocolate truffles.

It's my first time at the 🩰. I have seen some on television but not up close and real. I have to say, it was wonderful! The action was non stop and the time went by very quickly. I can't wait to see it again.

The small stage, but the theater is cozy. All is OK, BUT at the first balcony 6th row is very, VERY cold! It was cold air from conditioning.

Looking behind the scenes at a guided tour through the opera house. Marvelous and highly recommendable! Excellent English speaking guide from the orchestra!

Great venue to host a terrific show. Staff are both friendly and helpful, with a great, free, cloakroom. Well organised for the interval with a substantial choice available. Highly recommend if you are ever visiting Tallinn and have the chance to go there. Located in the heart of the city centre so very accessible.

Estonia Theater is an iconic historic Opera building. It is well maintained and renovated multiple times. Great place for operas, ballets and other performances.

The symphonic accompaniment was well-executed, and the opera singers' voices were impressive. The venue also offered convenient refreshment options during intermission, with spacious buffets on each floor. It's a place where you can appreciate culture and enjoy live performances.

The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky - a ballet that is worth seeing! We got two tickets on the second balcony at short notice and were thrilled! A total of two acts and a duration with an intermission of two hours and five minutes. The opera itself is a historical building and has its charm. What we noticed negatively was the understaffed service during the break. Otherwise a really great evening - definitely recommended - even for ballet newbies like me. ;)

The nicest and most historic opera house in Tallinn. In the city centre. With a marvellous restaurant where menu and service corresponds to the beginning of XX century.

An architecturally beautiful building, inside and out. We checked our coats in and made our way to the 4th floor, via elevator, to find our seats. Production quality was fantastic. Intermission provided us with some complimentary champagne and refreshments.

A stately space, with occasionally some very good productions. The restaurant - with beautiful greenery reminiscent of its former fame as a conservatory which you can visit or book for events quite independently of opera visits - is a jewel in itself; a delightful experience with good food and extremely pleasant service.

I didn't expect so much from this little theatre (690 seats). Yet, I saw a classic ballet and staged opera. It was stunning! Excellent orchestra, staging were simple but good, good singers and dancers. Perfectionists people would certainly have things to say, I personally just enjoyed the shows so much, especially for these low prices!

Beautiful building, not too crowded. Operas have live subtitles on screens in english and estonian. Great evening.

The hulking Estonian National Opera building casts such a large shadow along the stretch of Estonia Avenue that it is impossible to overlook. This massive edifice houses the Estonian National Opera and its ballet company in one wing and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra in another. Set up in 1913 through public donations, the Estonian National Opera was meant to showcase Estonian culture that would rival similar German and Russian institutions in Tallinn.

👍👍 A very nice cultural center. I visited the building 2 weeks ago and was very positively impressed. I think it's right that both Russian and Estonian speaking citizens live together so peacefully in Tallinn.

👍👍 Such a lovely, cozy and warm cafe! I loved the simplicity of food, the quality was fine and it did the great job on a cold afternoon. The menu offers both meaty, vegetarian and vegan food, even if the selection is not huge, there are still options available for everyone. Staff is friendly and helpfu...
