Refreshing new hotel concept of sleeping in converted containers all with a low carbon footprint and the bare necessities yet it was surprinsingly comfortable. Good shower and bed, enough storage space for 2 suitcases, a window and it was very quiet. The façade and common rooms are inviting and the individually prepared breakfast simple yet of high quality. No round the clock hotel staff; all access is via a personal code (front door, container etc.). Located in trendy artistic 'city' of Telliskivi and within walking distance of the train station.

A trendy hotel near the train station. Every room is a container located in an old warehouse. There are shared living spaces, washing facilities and a kitchen. Our container was very comfortable with a great bed and a good shower. The breakfast is freshly prepared by the staff and is very nice. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Honestly one of the coolest places I’ve stayed at. Affordable prices, plenty of room in the container, super comfortable bed. I’d highly recommend this place. Location is also very good as it’s near a lot of cool restaurants, haven’t had any issues with noise either. Overall, deffo consider staying here if you’re visiting Tallinn!

We love this place, great concept, comfortable rooms with all you need and a bed that sleeps amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast (don't forget to order!). This all in a very trendy area with lots to discover. In short, a place to feel home!

I had the most amazing experience here. Unique concept with extremely friendly staff. You immediately feel home here. The room itself was bigger than expected and you can always use the kitchen if needed. In the neighbourhood, you can find a lot of food trucks and beautiful art. I would recommend Hektor to everyone. It definitely adds more value to your stay in Tallinn.

I love this place! Spent a lot of time in the lobby cafe, and the people who work there are lovely. The communal kitchen was always clean and is well equipped. My shipping container room was cozy, clean, and modern (heated floors in the washroom… nice). The breakfast was huge and really nice. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in Tallinn!

We were there just for a day, but wish we could've stayed longer! The container did not feel too small as we had feared, but rather cozy and with just enough space. The hotel itself is very impressive, especially their sustainability goals. Wish we had had the chance to try out the office spaces. And the location is amazing as well - right in the heart of Telliskivi!

It is very cool to stay overnight in the Containter. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the bathroom has floor heating. There is a kitchen, washing machines and the workstations are great to work at. The region in which the hotel is located is magnificent. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff are great.

Amazing service from this female-run business; the only container hotel in the baltics. A beautiful hotel with surprisingly Luxe rooms (hello, carpet designed to look like wood(!) and lovely communal spaces, including an indoor forest style area in a super chic industrial setting at the heart of Estonia's coolest area. It is literally shrouded by food trucks, cool bars and fusion restaurants all around and is 15 minutes by foot to the old town. This makes it the no brainer choice for couples, digital nomads, and anyone looking for a hip and unusual spot to try something new. Fun fact : a kitchen and communal workspace are available and the hotel had it's own mini cafe too and an adorable house beagle who isn't present in the extremely clean guest areas but you may see heading into the office if you are lucky

Perfect place to stay for your holiday in the heart of Tallinn. The staff was very friendly. The concept of the hotel is also very unique and focusing on sustainable tourism. Hotel also offers co-working and co-cooking space. Highly recommended for your stay in Tallinn.

Everything worked perfectly, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The containers are very original and homely. The bed is super comfortable!!! And we appreciate that hot water is not unlimited. Thank you very much

Great value for money. I’m in love with Recycling and up cycling concept. Room was very cozy and heated bathroom floor was a bonus. My check-in was after 10pm and I was sent clear instructions how to access the building and self check-in into the system. Love that they have 2 sizes of the pillows and mattress was very comfy. Enjoyed the fact that shower products were locally sourced. Hotel offers living room style co-working space as well. Highly recommend for short or long stay.

Different but great! Superb location and compact but very comfortable modern and well equipped rooms. Good communal facilities with lounge seating, co-workspaces, kitchen, laundry etc, and excellent coffee (with latte-art) in reception. Our kids loved it too, a memorable and different stay. The only downside was the limited hot water for showers in the rooms - given the not-cheap price point I’d expect to be able to have a hot shower once a day for at least 20m. <10m of hot water just feels stingy when the water runs cold with soap in your hair… and one more person waiting to wash. We also found it difficult to get our room temperature right. 15c on the wall setting was too cold at night but 18c had the radiator on full blast. Hadn’t figured it out before we checked out. Aside from this, it is a definite recommend from us and we hope to be back next time we’re in Tallinn.

Love the high ceilings and light. Very comfortable rooms for meditation and yoga practices. I would suggest to have some exhibitions in the hall. For example photo exhibitions, black-white photography, it might give more space and feeling of the air in the hall.

I feel I have to write this because I wish someone had told me before moving there! During covid I spent a few months in the coliving, and yes it is a great concept and the staff is amazing people and it’s clean, however what no one tells you is that the ceiling is made from asbestos- which is a material banned in the EU due to the health concerns it poses. For me this is quite serious and even though the manager says that they’ve had specialists to go in and check , I still did not see any written proof of that anywhere! Keeping the picture because the desserts here are delicious.

Really cool place overall. At its core, the container rooms are actually nicely spacious, comfortable, and have everything you need. There are two points of improvement that I could suggest: - The lobby café has staff, of course, but they usually were silent, sitting in a corner, unless specifically approached. Took me a rather long time to figure out that they were actual staff and not just clients when I came in for the first time. I'm sure they're great people, helpful and all, but perhaps not super approachable, in the way that any entry-desk staff in a "normal" hotel, or even a café, would be. - I really loved the kitchen, and the communal feel over there. However, since so much of its space is "taken over" by the long-term residents, it can be overwhelming when trying to find a spot for my temporary stuff. I felt a bit like an out-of-place intruder. Perhaps would be good to allocate some more specific space for long-term guests, and some for the short-term stay & some available staples that would be silly to buy as a short-stay guest (oil, salt...).

Hektor Container Hotel was perfect for my extended time in Tallinn. The location is great being that it is next to the super market, many restaurants, and the tram stops literally right outside the front of the hotel. The staff are great and very accommodating. The hotel itself is very unique. No frills, but everything I needed. It’s kept very clean, and taught me how to be more conservative. Convenient community kitchen, laundry room, exercise room, and plenty of meeting spaces.

Everything was easy and fluent. The staff was reactive and helpful. Breakfast buffet was a nice combination of local and basics. The room was compact including everything necessary .The place itself as well as the whole neighborhood is worth visiting even if not staying overnight.

Great place. Something new and interesting. The location is great, you can get everywhere by foot. Cafes, the waterfront, and the old town are all very close. Dog friendly and healthy breakfast. This hotel is a must visit. We will definitely stop by again when we are in Tallinn.

Great Hotel with a really interesting style very charming. Staff very friendly and welcoming, excellent uncomplicated check-in & check-out. Just the selection of breakfast was not as big. For the price a bit to expensive in my opinion, but overall higly recommendable.

I attended a workshop at the hotel, so I did not stay overnight. The hotel has a very cool and unique look, I peaked into one of the containers and it seems like a nice place to stay. The interior and layout of the hotel was great and I enjoyed spending my Sunday at the workshop there.

What a great place! Fantastic location, great staff, breakfast was very tasty. Couldn’t fault it at all. Fell in poverty with Tallinn - will definitely be back!

You rarely find such a stylish, clean and comfortable hotel at this price. The beds are comfortable, blankets and pillows like in a luxury hotel. The location is great, check-in and -out is easy and a simple breakfast with great coffee is exactly what it should be.

The room was clean and everything worked well. Thanks to the good design, everything needed could fit in a small space. The location is really good. Very quiet; the sounds of traffic or other residents did not disturb at all.

Love this container hotel. Great use of space, very secure, great location, walking distance to old town. I stay here every time I’m in Tallinn.

The hotel is located in the best area of the city. I couldn't imagine a better location. The concept of the hotel is also great and I really like it. Also, all the processes are automated and you don't need to face any staff to check-in/out. However, I've found a bit uncomfortable that the hotel doesn't provide free room cleaning. We stayed there for a week and by the end of our stay out room needed cleaning, but to have it you need to pay €15. Also, the air conditioning is not good enough. Fresh air comes from filters as it's said on the website, but it's not enough and sometimes it was hard to breathe in the room in the morning. But nevertheless, it was great experience and I'd definitely come back again.

Awesome community of friendly expats, locals. Great facilities and services. Air-conditioning was useful during the unusually hot summer. Would return again and recommend to all of my friends and colleagues.

Very friendly staff, we felt right at home. They very very accommodating and even extended our checkout time to better suit our day. Rooms were small but very stylish and comfortable. Also! The coffee was excellent!

One of a kind hotel with a very friendly, helpful and accomodating (pun intended!) staff! Very centrally located, surrounded with amazing bars and restaurants and ideal for Business trips. Really enjoyed my stay here and would highly reccomend it. Oh, and they are genuinly making every effort to save this planet - everything here is recycled or upcycled. Love it!

The Best hotel in Tallinn! Rooms are really clean and stylish. All the Hektor concept is uniqe. Great coffee! Always my first choice when I´m staying in Tallinn. Also great for those who like to prepare his food.

I traveled solo and lived nearly five full months at Hektor, and I must say: every day here was different, yet absolutely incredible. The concept Hektor uses is unheard of and matches the vibe of the area and the people you encounter in the hotel. Inclusivity is key, and it can't be praised enough. If you're down for a sustainable, clean and mindful stay, don't think twice.

Are you into creative architecture, industrial design and modern ways of living ? Try it all at Hektor Hotel. Rooms are shipping containers with ample bathrooms attached. Every aspect of this building has been so well thought out, it was a pleasure to notice the details. Temperatur perfect, fresh air circulating, crisp linens, large very modern shared kitchen facility.

Hektor Container is an incredible concept as much as a really joyful community. If you've just moved to the city and don't have any friends yet, you'll make a lot of them there. Plus the rooms are really comfortable and the location is amazing in the very center of Tallinn, 3 minutes walk from the train station, supermarkets available next to the hotel, access to Kalamaja (wooden houses district) for walks. I seriously recommend.

  • 3/5 Ben G. 2 years ago on Google
This hotel is a victim of style over substance. The concept is incredible and it looks amazing - containers squeezed into a former locomotive dept with stylish facilities dotted around. However, when travelling as a couple, the rooms are tiny - get used to climbing over each other in the night if you need the toilet - and the fact that the hot water runs out after 10 minutes is really bad. We all want to do our bit for the planet, but sustainability is a bit more than preventing from guests having a decent shower!

Great hotel. Wonderful staff. Very dog friendly. Was travelling with my 14 daughter and 9 month old border collie and they could not have been more accommodating. Easy to explore Tallin. Highly recommend.

Quite probably the best holiday accommodation I have ever had. Special mentions: - Amazing location; in addition to everything Telliskivi has to offer, easy and fast to get on a train or a bus and go explore Estonia outise of Tallinn. -Great indoor aesthetics -Beautiful big kitchen if you want to prepare your own meal -Very clean

  • 4/5 Caitlin R. 1 year ago on Google
We loved staying in the Telliskivi area and appreciated the map of local spots provided by the hotel. We didn’t encounter staff any of the days we were there, but overall we didn’t need them. The room is cute and tiny but I wish we could have had access to fresh air or Air conditioning.

I have been around the world and experienced many different hotels. But I have never experienced an honest and present service that I have received at Hector. And along with the hotel concept itself, it's ready for 6 stars from me.

  • 5/5 David D. 1 year ago on Google
The location couldn’t be better at the heart of Telliskivi creative city with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and only a short stroll to the historic centre. The rooms are obviously the size of a container and therefore small but very practical with very comfortable beds and the staff is super friendly. However, if you’re looking for a room with a view, this is not the place for you.

  • 5/5 Timo J. 1 year ago on Google
Great concept, very self serve focused. Everything you would want from hotel room, clean, quiet and comfortable. Great breakfast buffet, fantastic coffee options. Reception/ Lobby practically functions as a co-working space for guests as well. Loved it!
