Interesting to visit this museum. Currently there is a temporary exhibition named "Historical Maps of Armenia".

Good and interesting museum. Building is old but inside it’s very fresh and beautiful. There are several places for kids activities. Tickets are cheap. Together with tower visit it’s 7 eur/person. Staff is very kind and helpful. At the entrance they explained where to start and helped to get into elevator. An old elevator was very interesting for our son. Expositions are nice, we most of all liked a science library in 5th floor.

Amazing museum! Really recommend it to anyone visiting Tartu, even if you're staying here for only one day. While I was there, there was a great exhibition on happiness which was very informative and looked great. There were also exhibitions on e.g. the history of the University of Tartu which I think are a bit more permanent but still very new and with many authentic artifacts and a nice mixture of text signs and interactive things. Also, access to the towers if the cathedral are included, giving nice views (although trees will obstruct most of the city proper).

This museum was a surprise discovery for our family during a drizzle October afternoon in Tartu. The various exhibitions are beautifully presented and it's clear that they've been put together with care. The love of science seeps through in every nook of every room.

Remarkable place. Advise to start your visit from the top floor (you can use old lift from 1920-s)

Great interactive place, which would also be extremely fun for the children. And it's located in a reconstructed part of an astoundingly beautiful ruins, which you must also explore and visit the tower. And the old lift in the museum is a throwback experience on its own

I visited this place 10 days ago. There are 7 floors. For me, 4th floor is the most beautiful part. I would suggest university students to go there and learn more about university, how rich history it has. Also, it is worth to be inside of this building. Oldest elevator in Tartu is here and it has interesting vibe and way of use. So, take you 2.5 hours and learn more about UT. It will not be boring at all.

Had a lot of fun in the play rooms and secret library, my inner child was so satisfied. Very interesting stuff aside from that too, and great view from the towers.

This the university of the museum: old and classic scientific method around eight, electricity, energy transfer are demonstrated. Among those, the last floor shows ... quite unexpected displays, such as an interrogation room, skulls of people that were injured (beheaded in medieval time), skeletons of children that had diseases,,, a bit weird and scary for kids. Indeed, 80 or 90% of the museum is very well turned onto kids, the last 10% are so unexpected, The best part is the cathedral tower (careful to the pigeons droppings though)

Oikein hieno ex-katedraali Tarton keskustassa. Puolet rakennuksesta on nykyään yliopiston museo, jossa en valitettavasti ehtinyt käydä. Sijaitsee erinomaisella paikalla.

👍 That was the best thing to do in tartu. This place is closer to city, you can take a bus but recommend to take a taxi if you want to reduce walking. This is applicable only in case if you are not having your own vehicle. Its fun to take photos inside the house so go for it. If you are not that inter...

😐 It's a regular waterpark. It has three tube slides, a child area, sports pool, saunas and a cash/card bar. It was made a long time ago and shows it in it's design making it feel more dilapidated than it actually is.
