Very straightforward place. You land, take you bag and move. No questions asked. This place is part of the Ghanaian military air field.

Nothing too fancy with exciting things to see. Just enough space for planes to land and takeoff safely. One welcoming feature you see upon arrival is the absence of conveyor belts,passengers would have to manually pull their luggages on some rotating pipes. It isn't automated. With the much beauty I've seen around - with the trees and lush vegetation, Tamale airport deserves an upgrade, plus considering the number of people flying into it, however, my opinion though is at face value and without any concrete data.

The airport is on a military base I believe so security and discipline is high. Entry with a bike without a helmet is not permitted so take note. The check in area is surprisingly small so gets crowded easily. Non travellers are not allowed in so take note. There’s a washroom and snack bar and seats to wait for your call time After you check in, there’s another snack bar and bathroom at the waiting area to board the flight which I think is really cool.

I'm working as a baffle, accostic and Plaster board installer at the new international Airport... it's a lovely project considering first hand the number of passengers coming directly from the capital(local flights, both AWA and passion air, fly directly from Accra to tamale).

It's a nice place, they have ready shuttles at the airport to take you to where you going. Just the their rail for conveying luggage takes a lot of time so had to wait for sometime before getting your luggage Their arrival unit is quite small too

Small and congested but decent enough for domestic travel. With frequent fliers, the space is little small to accommodate everyone at same time. But the timings of the flights are scheduled in a way which lets the people feel free. Surrounded by green cover, the airport looks good. The way to airport also is beautiful. The luggage collection setup is managed poorly. Lot of luggage gets accumulated and makes it hard to collect our luggage. Small improvements and it will become good domestic airport. Requires just 1 hour for check-in process unlike the prescribed time of 2 hours as the operations are small.

Even though the place is a little bit small, everything is organized and working, check-in easy. In a nutshell: very good!

An airport of international standard, you will enjoy your smooth journey on air to your destination. It a first class airport when shatters service to your destination at an affordable price. The professionalism implored is awesome. It feels like home to be there

Small and cozy old fashioned terminal, friendly officers and people all around

Check in area is not as spacious as should be so it looked a little crowded. Apart from that all processes were pretty smooth. Didn't get the best of photos for this 😪

Well, I suppose it's super small but efficient. We were checked in and boarded on time. There is a snack bar and souvenir shop also. Consider it a no frills, but friendly place.

The airport is secluded from the main town. There should, therefore, be entertainment and quality food vendors to keep the place lively, while awaiting one's flight. The washrooms at the drop-off zone should be kept tidy

Located within the military barracks so quiet safe. Run way is long enough so ome doesn't feel the landing impact. The waiting area is however very small and uncomfortable when packed with people

Security is just ridiculous another old fashioned airport who take your lighter off you. You get checked 3 times within a space of 2 metres. Just ridiculous

Quite impressive aviation service in Tamale. All facilities, including washrooms, baggage carousel, and handling services, are topnotch. You have retail outlets where you can buy souvenirs as well as snacks, soda, and coffee while you wait for your flight. The depature lounges is well organised and sits about 250 persons. The staff are friendly, professional, and quite helpful

I had a wonderful experience at Tamale Airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth. The airport was clean and well-maintained, and I was impressed by the variety of amenities available for travelers. The waiting areas were comfortable, and the boarding process was efficient. Overall, my time at Tamale Airport was enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers.

Unexpectedly modern airport in northern Ghana. Boarding on foot across the tarmac, location in the middle of nowhere but nice to look at, clean modern sanitary facilities and fast service.
