For US travelers, your membership will get you in, but you must pay with Mastercard or a Costco linked visa card at checkout. Inventory is more weighted to home goods and carries a nicely diverse set of items about 50% different than US locations and other global stores. Don't miss the local fruits, lettuces, eggs, sushi, and regionally baked items, which will be far superior to what you get in the US.

Costco is excellent. The membership cost is a great deal for imported items at surprisingly reasonable prices. The food court has great food, such as pizza (whole or by the slice) and hot dogs which they famously sell at no profit as a membership benefit. Regrettably, the garden burger was just changed to be a garden pita with different sauce, but maybe that's delicious too? I didn't order it this time. I like to pick up ready-made meals at the back of the store too, such as pastas, brined rotisserie chicken, or ham and cheese roulades. These are great for family dinner or for one person who doesn't want to cook for a few meals. Sometimes when I get busy, this is very beneficial. Their bakery is very good, too. You can buy a cake right away, or order a custom cake 2 days in advance, with a combination of cake, filling, and icing flavors you like and a personalized message. In addition to being a great place for customers, employees are paid well, so everyone benefits. I only wish the Maebashi store was open longer or there was a store closer to home (in Nagano). It's worth the time and gas money though. Thanks for everything, Costco! Especially, thank you for selling these delicious chocolates.

Costco is a good place to shop, but they are NOT friendly with the environment.

Great place to get oversea products. Generally the same idea as any other Costco abroad. Things are usually sold in bulk (but not necessarily cheaper than supermarkets). There are usually samples, which is nice to grab. The hotdog and drink combo is 180 yen and includes refills for your drink. This place is super busy on weekends so be prepared for a crowd. It can take a while to park especially during lunch time on weekends.

I'm from Seattle, visiting Japan to visit family. We went to Costco in Maebashi, and they didn't accept my Costco Credit Card and USAA Visa credit card, only cash. I'm very disappointed with Costco Japan.

It’s a nice place and get everything from electronics to groceries to clothing specially the fruits, bakery items, frozen stuff and you’ll enjoy Hokkaido icecream the most

The meat for BBQ, shabu shabu, sukiyaki, gyoudong and salmon at Costco tastes really good, the price is also not so expensive. wow delicious pizza. Tiramisu tastes really bad, not tiramisu. Tiramisu that tastes good is Italian tiramisu, and costco first made and sold it last year during Christmas and New Year's Day, the price is pretty good, this tiramisu is really delicious. Tiramisu in a glass of 6 pieces is also very delicious. The price of goods a costco goes up, regular memberships don't get points. Buying pizza, hot dogs, burgers, soft cream in the corner of the room also doesn't get points. When the goods are checked, not everything is checked. Costco should provide special prices or gifts for members who remain loyal to non-stop shopping for more than 10 years.

Wholesale price is good ,but the Staffs are not good they are so rude & sometimes the parking is full too.

It's ok... Not much I'm interested in and many things are more expensive than local stores, and too big in size... Staff are generally unfriendly and distant... Not helpful. Expensive yearly membership fee, with not much benefit. No point system, nor coupons worth using. But, a few things are worth buying...

It was ok some items cheap but mostly market price. Im spoilt in regards to meat (Aussie) the steak selection here was WAY to expensive for the cuts provided. Overall nice experience

Good for buying in bulk. It's the same as Costco in other places. There are also other brand shops nearby. Good area for shopping!
