Beautiful temple full of nature and traditional Japanese architectures! They synchronize really well with all things there! The myogi mountain background is also breathtaking scenery as well. Today was a bit rainy day but if you look out from the top of the place you’ll see the beautiful city of Takasaki! The place is really clean so be respectful and keep it nice and cozy! Come and enjoy! Cheers 🥂

Wonderful place to visit specially during cherry blossom. From Matsuida Station, walk few minutes to this temple area. The temple itself is quite magnificent, and there are some nice cafes and even a museum in the surroundings. Past the temple, the hiking trail to Mount Myogi starts. The main path is a medium level hike (you can choose more demanding routes if that is what you want, with rocky hills and cliff to cross with chains). We did the hike but visiting only the temple was worth coming.

Believe it or not, I hiked here from the nearest station as a challenge to myself. Some nice people gave me a ride back though. I can't say much about the location. It will depend a great deal on personal taste. I can tell you there is a special "place of power" surrounded by 3 large trees and that there is a store near the entrance that sells spiced (tastier if you ask me) versions of konjac in bar form.

Although this shrine is not large and famous as others, it is a good place surrounded by beautiful nature.

An amazingly beautiful place with a huge area to walk around. You can also buy different omikuji and get a goshuin!

Very spacious place, surrounded by nature, be prepared for many stairs. Relaxing and calming place. Behind main temple have Black Tengu Shrine. Be careful if raining or wet floor, gets slippery. Please enjoy

Shrine is similar to most other shrines in Japan. You'll have to climb a lot of steps on the stairs to reach it. But some nice views are visible on top.

🫤 It has been many years since it was listed as a World Heritage Site, but in 2022 I finally visited it for the first time. There was also a story about Eiichi Shibusawa in the 2021 Taiga drama, so I was interested and went to see it, but... Even though there are valuable materials, photos from the...
