👍 I thought the admission fee would be a little high, but it was well worth it! The staff will go around with you and guide you. You will be asked at the entrance if you need a guide, so it is of course possible to tour without one, but if you ask, you will understand better and hear some useful stori... People often mention experience, indigo,

I thought the admission fee would be a little high, but it was well worth it! The staff will go around with you and guide you. You will be asked at the entrance if you need a guide, so it is of course possible to tour without one, but if you ask, you will understand better and hear some useful stories. What is especially noteworthy is that you can tour the factory in operation! I don't have many opportunities to see it, and after seeing various handlooms, I am impressed by the progress of civilization when I see a mechanical loom. The structure of the building was also unique, and I was impressed by the fact that it was not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The shop at the entrance sells handmade miscellaneous goods and products with motifs of loom props. The prices were reasonable, so I bought some small souvenirs and small items for myself. I also have a very good impression of the cheerful and polite staff.

(Translated by Google) An experience-based textile museum that "moves, touches, and lives." Old looms and valuable materials are on display. We went around the building with the person who explained. It's easy to understand because you actually move the weaving machine and explain it, and you can ask questions if you don't understand. Why is the roof here jagged and the windows open to the north? I was surprised to learn that people have been spinning threads and weaving cloth since BC😲 I was surprised at how human wisdom changed after the emergence of the jacquard weaving machine😲 You explained it better and I was drawn in. I learned a lot! Souvenirs are also sold here! I bought eight pieces of cloth. I'm going to make a panel! I have experienced it elsewhere before, but it seems that you can also experience indigo dyeing here. We may have a reservation, so please listen! As an aside, I came to understand why Gunma women are strong. The economic base was strengthened because weavers and female workers were active.

First indigo dyeing experience! I made a reservation by phone in advance and the person who told me about it was very thorough in explaining it to me. Thank you very much♪ Everything is fresh and there are hundreds of views. I had an experience. I'm excited even while making it. What will be the result? Feeling. Beautiful indigo. I couldn't help but look at the vase and see it was empty. Living colour. It is described as an indigo flower and looks like hydrangeas are blooming. When dyed and kneaded, it's green color, and when you put it on next time, it's a dark green color like spinach. Masami Nagasawa also came. A handkerchief I made myself! Next time I want to try T-shirts and stoles! When I got home, I washed it with soap and dried it. I think I'll take a look.

Nationally registered tangible cultural property. An interactive textile museum located in a former saw roof factory. There are four buildings with sawn roofs. The building with the tiled roof on the southernmost side is said to be from the Taisho era. One side of the saw roof is vertical. The tiles above the window on the north side are stacked vertically. wonderful. It is said that the number of warehouses represented the prosperity of Kiryu textiles. . Kiryu, once one of the three major silk weavers, now has 80 weavers. And Japanese production is about half that. Japanese culture is passed down in detail. As I was walking around town, I heard a rattling sound.

(Translated by Google) I dyed indigo for the first time. As an experience ◎ I felt that the structure of the building was also old and it was a historical heritage. It would be even better if there were more souvenirs!

It was almost closing time when we arrived, so there were no other tourists, so I walked around slowly by myself~ The entrance fee is a bit expensive and cannot be offset. What is worth seeing inside is their weaving history and machinery. It has a full feeling of the Meiji and Taisho eras. The fabrics sold alone in the factory are very beautiful and cheap, but there is no one to greet you. , and I don’t know how to pay... The sales department at the door is small but the items are of decent quality and the prices are just right... it all depends on your budget and preference. I personally regard it as increasing my contribution to Kiryu City.
