For the first time I never felt ripped off by some gallery as a tourist. The collection is definitely worth the time. You could literally spend 3+ day dreaming in nostalgia without being aware of how quickly time passes whilst trying to find you way out. It’s and Interesting place to visit on top of an already rich tourist spots in place around the area. Well layout and setup, Not sure if they copied the layout idea from IKEA or it’s the other way round. And sure I might visit again next time when I am in town tbh it’s nostalgia overload.

They have all sorts of things here. But warning-once you have entered, it’s quite a walk to get through to the end! Toys, old school console games, etc. I returned here the next day to buy some stuff from the Drift D store (yen only) and it was quite an exercise to power walk to the exit. For all the Initial D fans out there, you have to go enjoy the Initial D cafe (about 2.5 miles away) and come here to enjoy this as well. So much nostalgia. If you appreciate cars, car enthusiasts will occasionally show up with their modded cars as well and come to pay tribute. They have an amazing collection of classic cars in this museum. There are cafes and a restaurant in here as well, in case the long walk stirs you up an appetite.

Interesting place to visit on top of an already rich tourist spots in place around the area. 2-3 hours well spent. Well layout and setup. Could stay a little longer but, again, too many tourist spots around waiting for us. Been in Ikaho 3 times already and definitely will be back for the onsens. And sure I might visit again next time when I am in town.

The weirdest but coolest place I've been to in a while. Cars. Dolls. Alcohol. Vintage cultural items. The Beatles. Americana. Semi-outdoor war area. Mini haunted house. I dont get it, but both weird and cool as hell. Worth a stop.

Perfect place for someone who loves cars. Large museum with different collections, definitely a stop worth making. 1,100 yen a person.

It was much bigger than expected. You can easily spend an hour or two going through the whole place! The museums have an easy guided walkway that shows you everything. So many teddy bears, old Japanese toys, cars, and an interesting haunted house area with turtles… It’s best if you don’t look at the photos before you go because you will be surprised at how much is in here! Really worth the money and they sell food and souvenirs too. If you go in the morning it’s not that crowded.

Wow wow wow. We came only an hour and a half before closing, and wow. It's amazing. We will have to go back on our next visit to Japan and spend a lot more time here.

This was insane. You should visit. It just kept going. Not suitable for people with mobility issues.

The car collection was nice! I hope the bus frequency will be increased in the future. I can only spend so little time there due to having to catch the next bus. So sad.

A private collection of just so many things. It's an absolute treat. I came here for the Tofu shop awning but the museum is a must see if you're anywhere nearby. I'm just sad I ran out of time to fully see everything and enjoy the Mediterranean plaza cafe. It's mad and awesome this place. It even has a Toyota 2000gt. An absolute gem. Do not miss it.

Great place if you want to slip back in time to the Showa period of the 50’s. Lots of old toys, posters, sports cars of that generation to remind you of the good old days. I went especially because they have a mock section of the entrance of Fujiwara Tofu Shop from Initial D.

The place was crammed with toys, teddy bears, dolls, memorabilia, everything you can think of that defined your childhood. It's very centered around japanese nostalgia, but I still felt very at home here. Downside would be that it was hard for me to get here from Tokyo, but the bus from the station stops just outside the building, so that's good. There were also a lot of parking space if you come by car. Do not recommend to bring a stroller or a wheelchair as there are stairs when getting around the site and no elevators as I could see. Its possible to purchase tickets in advance, but I didn't and could still get in right away and purchase tickets on site. All in all I really enjoyed my time here and recommend it highly.

This unassuming museum has some absolutely terrific cars hidden away inside. Want to gaze upon a Toyota 2000GT? They got one, stand there and stare at it all day.

Incredible spot. Must visit in Gunma. Prepared to get lost in nostalgia and quirkiness for hours. Incredible car collection too.

Surprisingly more fun and interesting than what I had in mind. If you're into retro toys, vintage cars, and dolls, this is the place for you. We went there for the Initial D stuffs: the Fujiwara tofu house storefront and the cars, but we were pleasantly surprised that the other stuffs are very interesting too. Worth a stop if you are visiting Ikaho onsen.

Very cool museum. It's a bit random but if you're into memorabilia and cars, that's definitely worth a visit. Kids friendly and quite interactive.

Visited in Oct 2022. Spent about 1.5 hours in this place! Amazing collection of stuff by owner. Mostly 60s to 90s memories. Must drive to this place. Worth the visit.

車と頭文字D好きにとってここが天国です! Many things you can find here from cute teddy bear’s collection, old japanese snacks, little squirrels, delicious chocolate cakes, and a great collection of CARS! For automotive lovers you can’t miss this place when you visit Gunma! And if you’re big fan of famous anime “Initial D”, visiting this place is a must! They have the legendary Fujiwara’s AE86 and Keisuke’s FC for real! Plus some original bits from Fujiwara’s toufu shop.

As a huge fan of Initial D and Japanese cars in general, I came here for the vintage Japanese car collection. They also have an impressively large collection of vintage toys, dolls and teddy bears. This place is worth the visit if you're a history buff, or just want a trip down memory lane. As for the car exhibit, they an incredible collection of vintage Japanese cars including the Hakosuka and Kenmerri GT-Rs, racecars, an entire exhibit on the mini Cooper as well as many many others. Unfortunately, you're not allowed to take pictures at the mini exhibit. The initial D AE86 and FD RX-7 are in attendance as well as the original Fujino Tofu Shop storefront (the tofu shop from initial D was based on). This stop is a must for initial D fans and car enthusiasts alike!

Very cool. Loads of nostalgic toys. They have old Japanese cars and lots of old motorcycles too. It was fun.

Very extensive collection of bears and rare Steiff. Japanese tin toys were a small section but interesting and the old Japanese games area had Famikon. There are two real tanks! and some military items. There are two parlors one with a pachinko style home made game and one shooting gallery. The owner definitely makes an appearance in many photos and rally trophies and his preferred toys. At the end you get to paint your own Cupie doll. Personally, I'm a Star Wars fan and figure fan so I'd prefer more real collectible toys from around the world hence 4 stars, but the Japanese toys are extensive.

We spent over 2 hours here and really enjoyed it. It has bears, dolls, toys, cars, pop culture stuff from the decades, and lots of other surprises. It was well worth the visit and probably one of the most interesting places we have been to in Japan.

One of the coolest museums I’ve visited here in Japan. It’s so large they had to move some items outside, it even has a spooky haunted house that will creep you out.
