Closely located, 2 minutes walk from the east exit of Takasaki Station. However, if you come by car, you will have to park in a parking lot near Takasaki Station, but you may want to choose a parking lot where the 1-hour free parking ticket is valid on the website. However, the parking lot is across the street from the museum, so please be aware that you will have to walk a bit. There is an unmanned paid parking lot nearby, but it costs about 200 yen per hour. If you are not confident in your physical strength or are visiting on a rainy day, we recommend this option. The museum is on the 3rd and 4th floors. Enter from the south entrance of the building (on the street straight from the station) and take the elevator to the 4th floor, the entrance to the museum. There are no restrooms in the building, so please follow the directions from the elevator hall. When I tried to enter the museum for the first time, I was confused. The automatic door is so big that it looks like a wall. If you approach it, it will open, so there's no problem, but it's a little hard to tell. The exhibition is a wall display with no obstructions in the center, so you can view even the largest works from any position you like. You will go down the stairs to the exhibition room downstairs. This does not apply to people in wheelchairs.

As for art museums in Takasaki, there is the Takasaki City Museum of Art near the west exit, but there is also this museum in front of the station at the east exit. The property is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of Tower 21, a high-rise building in front of the station. The structure is such that the entrance is on the 4th floor and the exit is on the 3rd floor. When I first entered the museum, I had the impression that the exhibition room was very small, but there was actually another exhibition room one floor below, and there was a decent amount of exhibition space overall. Anyway, the reason why it is called Takasaki City Art Museum and you can view it while moving up and down is probably because the museum was intentionally located near a station where it is difficult to find a large site. I think this method is good in the sense that it can be enjoyed easily.

I was hesitant because of the location, but I was glad that I was able to get a one-hour parking ticket. You can enter from LABI1 directly to the deck, but the flow of the elevator from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor to the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor was not confusing. The exhibition space on the third floor was surprisingly large, and I was able to see the works on the walls up close. I think the merchandise sales were mostly limited to items related to special exhibitions.

It's near the station, so you don't have to worry about getting wet unless it's raining heavily, and there's a sunshade. Admission is free for those over 65 outside of the city, but ID is required. The entrance is on the 4th floor of the tower, so go straight to the 4th and 3rd floor. There are chairs where you can take a break, and since there aren't too many viewers, you can enjoy the show at your leisure. However, since seniors have difficulty hearing, two or three visitors may hear their voices echoing throughout the building, so if they happen to be together, they should be prepared to hear a loud noise. Staff don't pay attention. The paintings include the artist's genealogy, points of interest, and a font that even seniors can read. The works are also displayed in a relaxed manner.

We visited the museum after seeing their promotional materials in Japanese paintings in our hotel (which offer coupons as well!). While the museum itself is not massive, the exhibition was impressive in showcasing the techniques used in Japanese paintings from a variety of painters. The museum is designed mainly to cater local citizens though - which means they would not have any descriptions/guide in other languages. As a Chinese reader, it is still okay for me to guess the descriptions but I am not sure if other visitors would enjoy as much. They have a small souvenir shop.

It's right in front of the station so it's easy to get to. I felt that the two floors made it easy to get around and see the space. The price is reasonable at 600 yen, and it's free for those over 65. Stained glass in the elevator hall It was beautiful.

It's located right in front of Takasaki Station, and it's free for seniors (65 and over), so I stop by when I go shopping around Takasaki Station. The works in our collection are mainly Japanese paintings, but I think we have a good selection of them.

It's close to the station, so it's perfect for walking around town. It's an art museum with no special features other than its location. If there is an exhibition that interests you, go and see it.

This is an art museum that you can go up to by taking the elevator right from the entrance (for a moment, it was hard to find the elevator location! I think there was a guide, but it was a quick U-turn). It also felt strange to go back one floor while watching it and watch it again. I'm biased, but...I had the impression that museums were one large floor with partitions that you could walk around in circles, so I was surprised at first to see the vertical movement. I think the Takasaki City Art Museum is also on the 3rd floor? I watch it while climbing up to the top. Both are right next to the station and I was able to get a free ticket to the affiliated parking lot, so I can go there easily. I like the exhibits, but I often find myself having fun going to them even though I don't really get the theme.

(Translated by Google) There aren't many opportunities to go to museums, so most of them pass by. If you have the time and budget, you may be able to enter. In my case, I mostly go to art theaters and say that there is a museum nearby, so I have never been there.
