Amazing cave conservation with ancient artifacts. We arrived too late sadly n only managed to peep in from the outside. The exterior itself is already very interesting n what we could see of the inside was that it holds many ancient preserved artifacts n mini gardens/pools. A most intriguing exhibit n we shall for sure return next year to explore it early. There is an entrance station which charges a fee for admission into the cave area. Also do note that from the cave it’s a quick walk (5minutes) to the main road which has a bus stop just when u reach it. Wait here n check the board time schedule for the bus that brings u back to Takasaki Train Station. Tip - reach the cave early!!

(Translated by Google) Based on the idea of ``Kannon worship,'' the founder Tokuzo Yamada created a 400-meter artificial cave by hand digging, and Rakuzan Takahashi carved 39 stone Kannon statues to create the ``Kannon Sacred Site. It is said to be a place of worship. Each visitor has his or her own ideas and concepts when viewing and worshiping the stone statue of Kannon, or viewing it as an artistic work by the master craftsman Rakuzan Takahashi. In a sense, it is a theme park-like existence, but it is a wonderful place. Although it is a different place from shrines and temples, you can also receive a "Goshuin" as a proof of worship for 300 yen each? I can do it. The entrance fee is ¥800 per adult, and you can also enter the adjacent Japanese garden, so it feels like a good deal. The people at this facility welcomed me with a “welcome!”

If you are a believer, I'm sure the collection of over 30 statues will be a spiritual experience. If you are not, it's still an interesting visit to see how they were carefully carved in the tunnel.

Beautiful garden, the aroma of the incense, the warm colors of autumn, the landscapes and the small waterfall created an atmosphere in harmony, very Japanese style.🍁 Postscript, you can also enjoy the landscape drinking green tea, the staff are friendly, the parking is free, the cave and the garden is paid the entrance but nobody controls the ticket when entering, that is also very Japanese, they trust in the honesty of the people.

The cave was interesting to walk through. There were QR-codes to access the English translations on the info displays. It was calming to walk through and take in the beautiful sculptures in the cave.
