Terrible service (waited almost 1.5 hours for a salad, a pasta and a pizza). Took them 30 minutes just to give us our drinks. I should have just left. Food was unremarkable, unmemorable. I do not recommend eating here. Waste of time and money.

Chez pepe was renovated, well Nicely redecorated, lovely local ambiance. We had a capress, outstanding. wood fired pizza is a must. There are good vegetarian options. Easy parking on road side. Friendly staff and fast service.

We came to restautant with family of four. Ordered carpaccio and gratin as starter and seafood platter to share as main dish. Waited an hour only for the starter to be served. Both mom and dad are diabetics and they couldn't wait more we had to ask for bread to eat. That's a very bad experience. Not only us, minimum 4 tables were complaining about the same issue. I have herad that this restaurant has been always like that. But this cannot be accepted.

My wife and I ordered the Mauritian curry. She had octopus and I had the beef curry. Both were bland and tasteless and the meat for the beef curry was chewy and had a lot of fat, so quite poor quality. Will not visit again! Response to owner: We didn't take your free dessert and we didn't want any discount. Your attitude on here shows that instead of trying to improve on the quality of your food, you would rather pretend the issue is with the customer. Anyway, I won't be wasting any more time here. You know very well about the bad quality of the meat. When we asked if you would have served that to your children you said no!

The pizza was really tasty. I loved the environment and how friendly the staff were. Two things I found funny: we wanted to sit on one desk in the middle, but since it was for four we were asked to sit at the desk for two people even though the restaurant was empty and it was 21.00 and there is no ketchup for pizza

Great Pizza & great service ;-) We had 2 non-alcoholic drinks and both were very tasty - especially the home-made ice-tea. The pizza arrived quite quickly - I assume the stone-oven was well heated as the crust was crispy. The service was very attentive and quick. We were brought extra knives to cut the pizza and when asking for chilli oil it was brought immediately. Finally we had tiramisu as dessert - that was only 3/5 but on that matter I am spoiled from my visits to Italy and the overall great dining experience remains 5/5! They don't accepts tips with card payments so make sure to bring some cash along. It was a pleasure - clearly worth a recommendation - thank you for the pizza and your service, we will gladly be back if we may, ciao ;-)

Food (pizza & lasagna) was delicious, so were the drinks, with tables overlooking the beach. Coupled with good service, this is a place I'll be eating at again.

We often come here for great, authentic pizza! Well cooked in wood oven, crisp crust and not soggy at all. I might say the best, or one of the pizza in Mauritius The staff are friendly and service is fast. Great location just opposite the beach

After waiting an hour for a meal, they brought me a massacred piece of something. Explanation was that the meat was "butterflied" as it takes more time if it is whole cooked. Sides were thin and well done, middle was raw and it went back. They still charged 6€ (Rs 250) for an undrank glass of house red wine. Eat somewhere else EDIT (reply to owner): Yes, waited for an hour, showed you the picture of beef fillet (fillet mignon) as I ordered a fillet what wasn't served and unpolite only after being told that is what I ordered. Dreamt maybe at your place, but don't offer what you can't produce. I've eaten plenty in my life to know what it looks and tastes like Corrected the price to 6€. 8€ included the still water And yes, I did eat at the place next door. Lovely rumpstake eavenly thick, perfectly baked and served in less than 20min

The only items worth having on the menu are the pizzas 🍕They feature incredible dough with decent toppings. Unfortunately, every other meal is substandard and overpriced. Enjoy the pizza, go elsewhere for everything else 💁🏼

I'm always happy to find a place with really good food in Mauritius. I'm looking forward to bringing my friends to Chez Pepe. Everything was excellent.

Great place right on the beach of Flic en Flac. The owner is friendly and knows his stuff. The food is tasty, nice variety on offer and the ambiance is chill. Perfect for a diner date or hearty lunch !

Best to be avoided. Waited an hour and a half for our food. After such a long wait you might at least expect well presented tasty fare. The opposite was the case. Quality was way below average. So were the cocktails Calamari were oily and not fresh, prawns undercooked, curry salty, the margarita as sweet as cough syrup and whether there was any rum in the mojitos remains a secret. They certainly didn’t taste like there was. Thoroughly disappointing experience.

Very nice place, not as lively as it was many years ago with karaoke and outdoor dance floor etc. But the food was good and the staff very nice

Not recommended the food is not good. Almost makes you think its frozen. I had the shrimp curry and the curry was way too sweet, not an authentic taste. When i told the man at the cash about my experience, he didn't even care. Major chages are needed at this place.

A nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere. Laid back and friendly service. Did not try the highly recommended pizzas but the grilled chicken I had was super flavoursome and juicy, I can vouch for that one. :)

We came in the restaurant thinking that it'll just be another Italian restaurant. We were welcomed with the biggest smile and the best welcome from the staff. Even if we are vegetarian, there are more than enough options for us. they dont sacrifice on quality for quantity, they have both! The pizzas and pasta were fresh and tasted amazing. We enjoyed our food with some live music played by the locals on the beach(great view). The ambience in and around the restaurant was really good and the people were very polite. Would definitely recommend 10/10!

We were there and ordered the Mauritian fish meal (once the stew and once the curry). The food costs more compared to the other restaurants and had lots of bones and was not really tasty. Enterior is very simple, the service not friendly, the first waitress who served us seemed annoyed because we couldn’t decide quickly what we are going to order and than another one came... Unfortunately I can not recommend this restaurant in this area, bad service and not tasty food. Also the cocktail I ordered (blue lagoon) seemed as it wasn’t mixed properly…

The first time i had lettuce on a pizza. Thank you to reply me. I didn't say it was bad. I said it had a lettuce on it. It was not the best pizza in the world but a nice good pizza .

Went along one night to try the food, came back again and again because the lovely waitress took time out of her day to teach us french. Always had a smile on her face, always made sure to pop past and check we were happy with the food and drinks. The complimentary garlic bread basket you get as you sit down is like a little basket of heaven. Prewarning to people who dont like spicy food, the wife was taken by surprise at how spicy the salami on the pizza was, so i happily ate her food after i had finished mine.

My partner and i visited the restaurant a day ago for dinner. We ordered only main courses (a vegetarian pizza and a cannelloni) and waited for more than 35 minutes and yet the food was not ready. Plus the dishes were dirty and stinky. We notified the waitress who was looking after us twice and each time she replied that the food would be ready in 10 mins. In the end we were completely fed up and decided to leave the table and head to the counter to pay a bottle of sparkling water. While being at the counter the cashier asked us why we left the table and that the food would be ready, he added that cannelloni does take time to prepare and argued with us on the fact that being people of the hotel industry we should know that while the waitress did at not point mention about waiting time at the table despite complaining twice. At least we could have the pizza if not the cannelloni which apparently take so much time. We do not recommend this restaurant after the renovation and change of staffs who are unprofessional and rude. This was one of our preferred restaurant on the west coast and there is no chance of us going back there again.

The pizza is excellent and my family loves eating there, as the waiters are extremely pleasant and attentive.

Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are a pizza lover. However, it seems that the waiters are slightly lost in doing their job. As a desert, I ordered a tiramisu and after more than 20 minutes the waitress came and told me they dont have it.

I had fish stew 🍲 and it was tasty, but the overall impression is not so great. Service could be better and presentation still has a lot of space for improvement.

Service was great and the food was excellent. We enjoyed fresh salads, and the pasta was fresh and handmade. One of our best meals during our trip to Mauritius!

Waiting 1 hour for a pizza, 30 minutes for a drink is completely unbearable. The servers are not nice, the environment is mediocre. Quality%price ratio is not worth it, the place is not recommended.

Food was great loved it. But service one waitress didn't want to take our order as we were Mauritian. Only one lady was very nice and helpful.

In an attempt to enjoy a family lunch, we waited 30mins for our drinks order, starters never arrived and mains came after another 30 mins, with yesterday's rice. Waitress was unfriendly and unwilling to improve on the experience. Would suggest to any impromptu passerby patrons, keep on walking, you have a better chance of enjoying a meal elsewhere.

Really pleased I made it here for dinner. I was having a bit of food envy watching the other plates go past until my smoked marlin pizza arrived and I tasted it. Prices are on par and the service is great and my lady spoke very good English.

The food was quite pathetic. I ordered a ham pizza and it was poorly made, It also took a little over an hour for it to come with no explanation. We came around 18:50 and ordered right away. We didn't get the food until 20:00.

Best pizza’s in Flic en Flac. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is very clean. On top of all they serve the best rosé wine! Would definitely recommend!

SPOILED OUR DINNER!!! Yesterday we went to have dinner there, before ordering we checked with the waitress and she assured us that the food is of good quality and the octopus was locally sourced. We trusted and ordered but we were unpleasantly surprised that the Octopus curry I ordered was tasteless and so was the meat curry that my husband ordered. The meat was chewy plus loaded with fat all that we didn't ask for. My husband barely ate, we asked that the owner comes to see us well, when she came she was full of attitude telling us all sort of stories instead of understanding the situation. When I asked her will u serve this meat to your children she said no! She then told us that she can give us a desert for free but we refused as we didn't come to eat for free we were expecting the right food: the food we paid for. What a waste of time and money. Firmly not recommend this place.
