If it wasn’t for the views, this restaurant wouldn’t be worth any stars. And no, this is not just another bad review. From the moment we arrived, the waiters seemed to be ignoring us. We waited for over an hour to order and receive our food. They gave us 1 menu for a group of 5 and by the time that we finished eating, no one ever checked up on us. We continuously tried to get the waiter’s attention and it was impossible. When they finally came around, it was time to order dessert and they told us that the kitchen was closed. Of course it was closed… because they made us wait for over an hour. We asked for the check and even that took so long that we had to stand up and ask for it ourselves. This place is worse than the DMV… definitely do not recommend this place if you care about 5 star service. By the way, the food was average.

Top 2 hotel and restaurant in Santiago. This experience. Offers a relaxed and out of town vibe to enjoy exquisite food and great lodging accommodations. You can go up for the restaurant (reserved tables recommended) or stay for the full night at the spadeful and peaceful rooms. This is also a frequent location for weddings and other commemorative events. Is usually a 25min ride from the city and fully worthwhile. For me, this is one of the two best logging option in the province and I fully recommended for a weekend or just one night when returning to Santo Domingo. Fully recommend it.

This restaurant has one of the most amazing views. It’s perfect to go with your partner or on a date. Some friends had celebrated their wedding on this place and the pictures are so beautiful, plus the service it’s outstanding. There are open from breakfast to dinner. If you are going on holidays , weekends or for some of their events , I will recommend making a reservation , also if you want to have a table with a view on the terrace. The food is very tasty. Their hotel at the moment it’s being renovated and it’s suppose to open back for Dec. If you like to take pictures this is your spot ☺️😉

Top notch Camp David and its views of Santiago. All our foods were on point and drinks. The waiter did seem a bit tired, but we forgive him. It's breezy at night so wear a jacket just in case. Make a reservation if possible. You are over 900 meter above sea level and you see the entire valley. They do offer private rooms with a view also.

We dined through the sunset, drinking and eating everything. The breeze up the mountain made our outside experience exhilarating.

Incredible views of the city but when they say all the way up it’s all the way up the mountain. Food was not your typical Dominican meal but the food was good. Service is a bit slow it took a bit for food to come out but we ordered risotto dishes which do take a while to make. Chivo risotto was delicious The desserts were my favorite. Bit pricey but affordable for most tourists … 😎😎

Good place to eat and love the scenery. Food isn't amazing, and service is a bit lacking. They most definitely need to improve on the attentiveness of their service.

Great views and that’s about it . Dinner was not in point in any of the platters ordered . The salmon , rib eye and skirt steak was below any previous comparison and yes I had been at this place several times before. When we complained to management they didn’t seem interested .

This place is absolutely breath taking, the facilities and food are top of the line in the Dominican Republic. However I am only rating 4 starts because of the service. Our waiter was bad, to the point we needed water and our glasses empty. The bus boys served better than this guy around 50 with gray hair, if the restaurant administration sees this review you really to have a 1 on 1 with the waiter as he is making your restaurant and spectacular chef look bad. Food was absolutely delicious, top notch, way better than 5 star restaurants in NYC and LA. Would visit again, but definitely would ask to be assigned another waiter.

My experience here was disappointing. When I arrived with my family, the staff initially refused to seat us, citing the lack of a reservation. However, I later checked online and found lots of available tables for that same evening, so I made a reservation for the time we arrived. Despite this, the staff continued to give us unwelcoming glances and eventually seated us next to the restroom, even though there were plenty of empty tables throughout the evening. As for the food, it was just okay but didn't meet the level of excellence I had hoped for, especially since I had received a recommendation to visit this restaurant.

Had the best fish tacos here and a very delicious desert. The restaurant is located in a high location where you can see the city, it is a beautiful view during the day and night time. Staff was very friendly and formal. Definitely recommend to dress accordingly and make a reservation before arriving.

Wow! This restaurant and location are amazing. We came to Camp David for dinner on a Wednesday night and there was no wait. Got a table on the patio and the weather was perfect. The view is absolutely amazing and can’t be beaten. For food we tried a number of items. The Cesar salad was great. We also had a dish that was plantains and shrimp. Don’t know the name. We also ordered a bread plate that was tasty. For my main course I ordered the BBQ ribs that was shredded. On the plate came corn with cheese and broken bread. It was super good! Highly recommend.

Okkk this is like one of my favorite restaurants; and I know quite a few! The food is good the place is not only beautiful but the view is like “Oh my Gosh!!” The service is good and like any other place when crowded it gets slower, but since I love the rest, I can deal with it. They also have a nice hotel and different rooms and gardens to celebrate weddings and other events. Great parking space; it is good to come anytime but the night view is just dazzling 🤩.

View is priceless as long as you stay away from the Food. Worst restaurant in Santiago Our steak was tasteless vegetables were frozen Salmon was dry and cold Our bill was around $300 but we walked out hungry and disgusted. We didn’t even want to sit any longer to have some deserts or coffee. I would definitely not go back. I only give two stars because of the view. We complained but Management disregard our concern.

As someone that has visited 20 countries and many restaurants and also have visited a lot of restaurants in the Dominican Republic I will said that everything was awesome, delicious and tasteful. I love to tried different food and different taste and this restaurant met my expectations. The waiters and host were nice and respectful from the beginning to the end. The view is amazing and fresh air. The price are worth it and you get what you are paying for, nice quality. Drinks were strong so they not even cheap with the alcohol. Overall me encanta y voy a ir de nuevo hasta que me coma el menú entero. Try it

Fantastic location and food, service was a huge problem. As an American if you're going to pay the same prices we find in the states, I'd like to be able to enjoy a meal and not come out to their parking lot and find people fighting around my car, and a light torn off of my car in the process. After alerting the restaurant of this issue, they assured it wouldn't happen again. It was nice before this happened, but I'll never return.

Nestled in the mountains of Santiago, Camp David Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a stunning view of the city. I had the pleasure of trying their salmon dish with fried cepa de apio, and I must say that it was a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The dish was well-prepared and absolutely delicious. However, what really stood out to me was the breathtaking view of the city from the restaurant. The panoramic view of Santiago was truly amazing and made for a memorable dining experience. In addition to the food and view, the service at Camp David Restaurant was really good. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly, making sure that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, I had a wonderful time dining at Camp David Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique dining experience with amazing views and delicious food.

Wonderful food at reasonable price. Beautiful views and good service. Lamb in coconut rice was delicious (see photo), the Tortilla soup was spicy and yummy. Grilled Octopus was fresh. We ordered 5 dishes and 5 out of 5 dishes were excellent.

I've alway heard of this amazing romantic place. So I decided to go with my girlfriend last Sunday. The food was great but, the music they were playing was def not appropiate for the place. They had loud reggetton playing and trap music. The main reason why I went to that restaurant was because I was going to propose to my girlfriend but, we were both so annoyied with the loud music and the type of music. I didnt feel right proposing to her there because of how annoyed we were with the music. I told the waitress several times about the music and nothing was done. So I postponed the proposal for another restaurant with better ambient music Overall, for a nice romantic dinner I wouldn't go there again. Camp David response is that you do not have that type of music on your playlist! So not you are also indicating Im making false claims, shame on you!! Yo def had trap music and reggetton playing that night and too loud for that type of restaurant.

The hotel isn't anything to write home about, but the service is great and the food was very good. The corn cream, pulpo, breakfast items like their traditional DR brekkie or chilaquiles were all tasty and well made. The only thing I ordered that didn't wow was their ribeye, but perhaps that's just my spoiled American talking.

If you encounter a dirt road on your way up DO NOT PROCEED - google map takes you through roads that can only be accessed with an ATV. Use Waze instead. Now my review: slightly underwhelming taste based on my order. I wouldn’t consider it overpriced due to the type of restaurant it is but do agree that prices are higher than average in the city. Menu is big with lots of choices and the view is beautiful. Service is alright but could be polished a little more. I would not recommend the chivo risotto because it’s quite bland in taste except for the goat meat that’s on top. Perhaps if it were cooked in the goat stew it would be much tastier. The crostini had a great taste, but it’s ground meat on toast after all. The octopus was very nice: well cooked with a delicious celery root puree. Portion of the octopus is small in comparison to other dishes. After all you’re paying for the view and the ambiance.

Pros: Great view, good food Cons: No elevator, shotty service, out dated facility, rough commute to Good place to visits for great views both in the day and in the evening. The restaurant make great food. Hotel rooms are very old and have very few electrical outlets.

A delightful retreat in the hills! Can be difficult to find, but worth the trip. The views from the restaurant are fantastic and the food is even better! I ordered the goat risotto two weeks ago and I'm still dreaming about it. The hotel rooms are very comfortable, too.

I can never get tired of coming to Camp David Ranch. The food, view and service have been spectacular. I would prefer to go without small children, because it us at the very top of a large hill however, they do have highe chairs and accommodate children.

The view of the city it’s amazing. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. However, the food was average. The only dish I liked was the appetizer, “mofonguitos”. Wish they had it as a main course.

I visited for the 3rd time with my girlfriend for Valentines Day 2024. When I called they said the regular menu won't be working starting at 6:00PM at that a "Special Menu" would be available. Heads up, it was not special. When we have ordered the appetizers I have noticed that they were kind of cold, I did not think to much about it and let it go through, I mean mistakes happen, right? Well, when we ordered our main dish I had a rib-eye steak, with mashed potatoes and vegetables (not sure what my girlfriend had for main course) and again stone cold, I had already noticed when cutting the meat that something was wrong. I called the waiter and explained him that my dish was cold, he grabbed my plate, did not bother to apologize or anything. Before him leaving we asked if the dishes are already cooked before ordering, which he responded with a clear "YES". Literally 2 minutes after he comes back with a new plate, this already alarmed me that nothing was done fresh, everything precooked (so much about a special valentines day menu) and when he put it on the table I've noticed that the plate was warm, the outside of the meat was warm, but when cutting the inside was cold again. THEY REALLY MICROWAVED IT! I ended up eating it because I haven't eaten the whole day, being excited having a dinner at the restaurant, but it turned to be the most unpleasant dinner I've had. What annoys me the most is that a restaurant with such prices and quality try to be super cheap on a special occasion. Don't eat there if they offer a "special menu". Wasted a bunch of money for nothing.

This hotel is NOTHING as described. For the money you spend the rooms are HORRIBLE small and outdated. We had no hot water Wi-Fi in and out and safety box did not work. They tell you breakfast is complement but if you order more than 1 thing they charge you. Super far from everything also outside looks nice rooms trash.

The food was great, and the ambiance is nice. The only thing is that they should set up more fans and the inside area should have air conditioning. After my awesome meal, we went inside and keep sweating a lot.

Came here for Mother’s Day, make sure you have a reservation they seated us ASAP. For the price that we payed I was expecting more it was more decorative than tasteful. My favorite thing was the dessert which out tasted the appetizer and main dish also the view I guess for 10k pesos you are paying for the view as well and that was for 4 people. Besides that there is a hotel on the property too and collection of cars and a gate for love locks.

The employee’s judge. security asked if I ordered anything before I started taking pictures little did he no we where waiting on our bottle of wine. Check your behavior sir. That made a complete turn off. Food was good though. Service took way to long. FYI

Nice view of Santiago and that’s about it. Would only recommend this place to drink a bottle of wine. I do not recommend the food. The Salmon was over cooked, the goat risotto was sweet and when we asked the waiter why it was sweet, we were informed it had coconut cream which was not listed in the menu. The waiter did not care about that and did not offer to get us something else. My mothers cocido soup was not fresh - the taste was sour and it came in a traditional cooking pot which did not match the ambience of the restaurant. We went there for my birthday dinner and walked out hungry and disappointed. The waiter did not even offer us water. There is only one option in the French wines and it was not good. If you’re going to have wines from France, at least put good ones there- it’s the land of the wines. Last, my boyfriend had told the receptionist it was my birthday and they never brought the birthday cake. I think anyone who enjoys food at this place does not know what good quality food or service. Hard pass.

If you are a young adult this is not the place for you, the restaurant workers are discriminatory towards younger individuals. Upon arrival we were seated and asked for drinks but the only drink menu available is for wine bottles, there is no menu for cocktails nor non alcoholic beverages. After the first set of drinks were brought over and we ordered our appetizer the waiter never came back. We had to ask another waiter to bring us another water bottle and another drink. When the water bottle was brought another 3 sets of water cups were brought (when they had already brought the cups with the first water bottle), and the alcoholic drink was never brought. We brought it up to a random waiter’s (our waiter nowhere to be found) attention and still another 20 minutes passed and still no drink. It has now been over 30 minutes that we are waiting for someone to just take our order for the main plate. Once again we have to ask a random waiter to take our order. Food was overall well made but nothing out of this world and definitely not worth this type of service. Was not even offered desserts option. Other tables who arrived over 30 mins after we were seated were served before us and were attended to.

We had a t bone to share and it was excellent. Mushrooms on the side also very good and spicy. Ceviche was an excellent flavor. The chicharrón pulpo was a little dry. My only complaint was that i ordered a water and it was this Panna brand that is like 5 Dollar a bottle which is a scam. The took it off the bill since I asked for a Dasani water which I saw someone else had and i wanted. We had great service and this was our second time here. I little pricey but the view of the city is amazing . We'll return again but always tell them fish and meat medium rare so it's not overcooked
