I highly recommend this place! Fair price, beautiful view and atmosphere and the best dromedarie jar I had in my whole trip in Tunisia. Kind service!

Amazing place. Breathtaking. Totally fair price for a wonderful meal. They brought us a delicious salad, snack, Main course (traditional gargolette style lamb), and dates for dessert, everything was included in the menu. Will come back here every time I visite the oasis.

A terrible dinner experience! First it started in the parking lot where we were harassed by a “parking attendant” that wouldn’t let us park without agreeing to have him watch our motorcycles. Once at the restaurant, the atmosphere seemed nice and the waiter was helpful and kind. We ordered a lamb stew. It arrived piping hot, was presented well, and looked delicious. As we were cutting into the lamb meat we found maggots in it. Yes, maggots! We were disgusted. We alerted the waiter who was immediately apologetic. He went into the kitchen and brought out more lamb. No thanks. We left shaking our heads in disbelief. Tunisia will go down as the first country to have ever served us maggots!

Lovely restaurant by the river and cascade - it has to be one of the calmest settings in this part of the country. Staff were not pushy at all, prices were reasonable (15 TND total - €4.50 at time of writing) for two good brik with tuna, capers, lemon, etc, and a plate of fries with tomatoes. If I ever know someone going to this area, I’d definitely send them here. Yes, touristy but in a good way, with a really lovely setting. I imagine you even get locals from Tamaqzah coming here for special occasions. There are some pushy guides on the -way- to the restaurant from the parking lot (~100m) but once you’re there it’s a true oasis.

An authentic place with a magnificent view of the oasis. 🇹🇳😍 On our way through the oasis, this was an ending point with a small hike via the gorge. The view and atmosphere are 10/10, so visiting this restaurant was a worthy experience. 🏞️ They have 1-2 combined menu options instead of carte with separate dishes. During our visit, the price for one combined menu with meat was 40 TND per person, which was a darn good deal. 🤝 The dishes were two salads, Tunisian brick, and a lump of gorgeous meat just from a clay jar. 🍖⚱️ It would be great if the meat part were more significant 🤏, but this meat portion size looks to be usual for this area, so there is no reason to complain a lot. At the end of the day - if you want to experience authentic Tunisian cuisine and have a spare 40 TND, I recommend visiting this place! 👍
