What a find! The two pubs we were looking to eat at in Hook Norton weren't open for food that day so we meandered around and came upon the Norman Knight. We absolutely loved it. The lady serving us was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. She was happy to spend some time talking to us. The food really did not disappoint. A very varied menu. We had lobster and a crab salad which we shared. The pub overlooks the village green. Absolutely delightful! This is now definitely on our list to revisit.

An amazing pub in the beautiful and peaceful village of Whichford. We were greeted with a very warm welcome the minute we stepped through the door. The beer and atmosphere just enhanced our visit. Give it a go.

We stayed here a night in our motorhome. Free of charge if you don't need electric hookup (small charge if you want electric) and use the pub. Very friendly pub and average prices. We didn't have food as they had a pizza van outside. Best pizza I've had in a long time. All cooked fresh. Super quite village with plenty of walking. Overall a great find and we will return.

Found this lovely restaurant, why not have a try? I have a small stomach so ordered the Fresh Mussel Starter as lunch. It’s absolutely a good choice! Mussels are little and fresh (I hate the big ones) with excellent creamy sauce, good to eat with the bread. The environment is comfy and staff are nice. Recommended.

An excellent pub serving delicious food with friendly service and reasonable prices. For starters, we had the artisan bread with oil and balsamic which was lovely, with warm, fresh bread. For mains, we had the beef roast and the crab tagliatelle - both were delicious and we finished the lot. The portion sizes were good and not over the top. Great quality throughout.

Lovely quiet location, great selection of beers. Friendly staff, nice food. Half an hour walk from the Cotswolds Distillery too, as an added bonus 🙂. Fish and chips was lovely and garlic ciabatta bread starter was fabulous.

The pod accommodation was perfect. Clean and well maintained. My Husband, son and I stayed 3 nights in the fox den. It was a good location for visiting many Cotswold villages and Oxford. The food at the pub is delicious. The servers were very accommodating and let us order take-away to our pod since the resturant was booked. We all enjoyed the food, drinks, people and setting. A perfect place to stay in the Cotswolds.

Amazing stay and food at Norman Knight, the staff are super friendly and make you feel really welcome. The beds are comfy and the pods are so cute, we stayed with our 2 frenchies and had such a great time. We will definitely be back.

Nice village. Quiet location, despite being near to the pub. Cosy, well set up pods, apart from the bed position in the 4 person pod, which means that there is nowhere to put anything on either side and it can only be entered from the foot end. The shower is a little small and the water temperature variable. But all in all, a very reasonable place to stay for a night or two.

Fabulous pub & restaurant! The roast lamb shoulder with dauphinois potato was excellent, as was the sole. Great, friendly service and a lovely vibe in the place.

This is a superb place, stayed in the cabins behind the pub, they are perfect, clean and super cosy, with all you could wish. The dinner at the pub was amazing, and the halibut with lemon sauce, was so nice that you newer wanted the dinner to end. Super kind and serviceminded staff, I would recommend the place to anyone interested in stay or dinner.

Great pub with village green opposite that host a motorcycle and car meet on second Thursday of every month in the summer. Great place to drink a beer and admire the bikes!

Dropped by for a few drinks on my own as I was staying in the area from the British GP. Amazing service and lovely pints, really made you feel at home even though it was quite late when I arrived they were very accommodating. Will be spending some more time here when I return next year!

Love this pub! Been coming for 25 years it just keeps getting better & better! Great menu, staff & welcoming. I helped jointly found the classic car meeting in the spring & summer months which is also well worth coming too. Always a good selection of beer & ales too! Highly recommended.

A warm welcome will greet you when you arrive at the Norman Knight. The team are friendly and helpful making sure you have what you want and need. We stayed for two nights in the glamping pods. These are comfortable, clean and spacious. The pods are set up well for self catering or you can always visit the pub for some well recommended and tasty food. The pub also has an EV charge point which is available to customers and guests.

Lovely comfortable stay in the Squirrel Drey pod which had everything we needed. Lovely friendly hosts, the pub served delicious food and the staff (and locals) were so welcoming and friendly. It's a fantastic location for exploring the beautiful areas of the cotswolds. We stayed 3 nights and would highly recommend. My son loved the pigs 🐷🐷🐷

We enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch with friends, first class food, drink, and service. Appreciated the refurbishment with interesting items throughout, starting with the armour on entry

Stayed for two nights in the glamping pods in order to be within walking distance of the Cotswolds distillery. The rooms were clean, surprisingly spacious and nicely designed. The staff were friendly and happy to help. Cask beers were kept well and had a decent offering. The star of the show though had to be the food; best vegetarian pub food I've had in a long time (I'm sure the meat dishes are nice too but I personally can't say).

Absolutely delicious. I had the seafood salad and it was incredibly tasty and fresh. My dining guests had the burgers (chicken and meat). There wasn’t a scrap of food left on any of the plates. The staff are all wonderfully friendly and their choice of music (ABBA) made me happy. Fabulous views of the village green too.

A really great pub with a warm welcome from all the staff. A great menu and really nice food plus a good selection of beers. Stoped with a camper van overnight and as we eat and drank in the pub there was no charge, also a dog friendly pub next to a great village green.

What a lovely stop over on Friday night, busy but managed to squeeze us in! Lovely location looking over the village green and covered area for eating outside. Food was also delicious, homecooked, and the staff were lovely and friendly 😊 definitely a 5 star from me!

Lovely old free house pub located in Whichford. A charming, sleepy, Nth Cotswalds village. Large choice of ales and fantastic food. Maybe some of the best food I've ever eaten. Book early as it's very popular. They are registered with 'Brit Stops', so I was able to pitch up my campervan overnight.

Lovely meal (book beforehand as busy), great service and relaxing place to have a few drinks...recommended. Looking at coming back and staying in one of their pods to explore the area.

Great choice of beers and good atmosphere. We were thoroughly welcomed and allowed to rehearse a few songs before singing a short set of Welsh songs at a local private party 🥳 🎉🧨❄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Great service, friendly staff. Food was really nice (I was very jealous of the Sunday roast). Had a great impromptu afternoon in the pub. Very dog friendly

This is an astonishingly good pub. The food here is great, in particular the specials the chef puts on which we keep coming back for. Always a cold pint and a warm welcome. Cheers!

Every third Thursday evening in the summer. Gathering of local interest. Great beer, good food, fun company and interesting range of machinery.

We're there in our motorhome. Took a while to get in as last people hadn't left yet. Had a lovely Sunday lunch. Nothing too much trouble.
