Very rude and unhelpful staff, guys in the full half 3 were horrible, no customer service skills, huffing and puffing, items just left and not moved down the till by server, another worker standing about eating a bag of quavers with them falling out of her mouth, shouting by the till doing nothing. Asked a guy by bedding if they sell car sponges and gut said ohhh I don’t know.

Terrible staff and service. Take a trip to the customer service desk and have the pleasure of watching the staff chatting amongst the self's whilst ignoring you. Why not try returning an item only for the till to only half perform its task and have the uncertainty and worry that the money you have paid for a faulty item to not return to your bank but don't worry as by the third or forth time of asking the staff member to check if the refund procedure has been carried out correctly then perhaps you will get a refund. All in all a terrible place to shop. Cheap nasty products often with missing parts. Poor customer service especially if ordering online, where God help you if you need to speak to a customer service agent (be prepared for a long wait and a conversation similar to that you have with a 5 year old labrador) Oh whilst I am reviewing. Walk on over to the Iceland section and look how much frozen food is left out of the freezers, perhaps you want your food already defrosted if so then this is the place for you. Give this place a miss. The old saying buy cheep buy twice applies here.

**AVOID FOR KITCHENS** Don't waste your time or money, these guys are really bad. Had the kitchen design planned and paid for, but the kitchen designer ignored all communication after payment, they ignore the mobile phone, the kitchen department phone, text messages and voicemails, had a really bad experience. Only needed something simple but they had 3 weeks to answer but they failed to even call me back, he had me in his calendar to call me back after finishing the kitchen design and had also failed, but was quick enough taking me my money in full!!! AVOID!!! The whole company as a whole was a bad experience as trying to seek further help I phoned the customer services, he was useless, "I can't find your order on the system", gave him all details needed including name and postcode, absolute joke how a £7.5 grand kitchen goes under the radar. Then phoned head office, the receptionist couldn't me through to anyone but was very helpful in trying to find a way to deal with it, but it's not her fault it was the customer service base structure that was really bad set up by the company, so not giving the right tools for their staff. So after a few attempts ringing this store, I spoke to a lady at 1pm who was at the front desk, I will pull him as soon as he comes in he's just out measuring up a kitchen and ask him to phone you as he has to walk past me, she couldn't believe how I was treated after speaking with her. Phone up again at 5pm same day, got the response he's left for the day, so again told her my story she couldn't believe it, she thought at first I was another customer with an issue regarding not receiving a dishwasher, so already showing it's just me with an issue, she said call back before 9am to speak to the store manager, she was really nice. Next morning at 8.50 I was to speaking to the operations manager, she was going to speak to the kitchen designer, to sort it out why he's been ignoring all communication for 3 weeks, she said she will get him to call me back, at that point I am furious and said I don't wish to speak with him now, he has caused a lot of stress for me and my family and she told me she would call me back by 10am but had also failed to do that. However the kitchen designer had called me up and knew he had to called as he's been told off by the operations manager, but I didn't give him a second to talk, as by then he caused all unnecessary stress and gets away with it, so I pulled the plug and demanded a refund, which he was quick enough taking at the time. Later he had texted me, head office will contact me and do a refund. It didn't end there on his text he 'I am so disappointed, you want to cancel your order' shock horror DISAPPOINTED!!! How do think I feel, obviously I think he used the wrong word terminology, but shows what idiot they have there dealing with the kitchens, no apology either. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Just had to send a review in tonight. Customer service and care at The Range on Edge Lane were exceptional tonight. The only time I have experienced such essential, friendly and helpful shop service is in Booths Supermarkets...which pride themselves on staff helpfulness. The guy in gardening could not have been more helpful , 2 ladies on the shop floor went the extra mile to help me find a litter picker. However, most impressive, was Sophie on the till, who took great pains to ensure my shopping experience was pleasant, stress free and accompanied by a chat with a smile. Its amazing the difference a smile can sometimes make to the paying public . Totally the opposite to recent human-free experiences at the automated checkouts of certain widespread supermarkets where it was obvious profit came way ahead of staff workload and customer experience.

I visited The Range ,Edge lane for the very first time. I was pleasantly surprised by this store. Apart from the size, it's huge with every household item one could desire. I went there looking for silicone liners for my airfryer, I asked a member of staff for help locating the item I needed, and she immediately directed me to the correct isle. I wasn't in the store long, but I'll definitely visit again. There's a large free car park. Definitely pop in. You won't be disappointed. Prices are reasonable, too.

All 5 stars to a lad on the outside garden area called Ethan. Never seen a lad work like him. My word he doesn’t stop & it’s not light work he’s doing. I noticed him before we even got inside the store unloading loads of heavy bags of stone into a customer’s van. The customer was also loading up but blowing for tugs. Ethan just got on with it. Then I seen him inside loading another flatbed trolley with bags of stone & taking that out to unload more. We needed a heavy planter lifting off the outside display and were told the young lad will help us. I looked around and Ethan was unloading a trolley full of stock in the outside garden area of big heavy bags of something. He finished that & came along with a trolley to help us with the heavy stone planter. It wasn’t a bit of bother to him. He was as pleasant as ever. Really lovely lad. Puts it on the trolley and wheeled to the front of the store. After paying wheeled it out to our car & helped lift it in. He never stopped once in the time we were in the store & it wasn’t a very long time really. I said he must be fit as a fiddle but shattered when he gets home. Ethan is a credit to the Range Edge Lane. Huge thanks to him. After he helped us he headed straight back in to help someone else with a big heavy box who was waiting for him. What a star.

This is a new store spread over a one large floor. Access is just off Edge Lane and parking is easy. The trolleys use the familiar deposit system. There is a wide range of departments and items. There is a nice cafe / tea shop and the toilets are right next to the cafe area. There is even an Iceland with fresh, frozen and dry food. I don't think that Iceland home delivery is available for in-store purchases. Everything except cafe orders is paid for at the main checkouts by the exit. If you are already familiar with the Range stores then the only main difference would be the Iceland aisles. The Range includes most things like home crafting , pet care, health and beauty, home furniture and garden furniture. The selection of Christmas material is really extensive and probably takes more than 15% of the main floor space and this is a big store. I think that the only things that you wouldn't find here are white electrical goods or TVs and computers.

Tried to buy an Air Fryer, staff couldn’t find a code. Dropped the air fryer on my arm then said we couldn’t buy it. Prices need sorting in that shop & staff need to be more careful. Dual air fryers are too heavy to be dropping on customers!

Visited the cafe for a light lunch, burger n chips , 2 x cheese toastie, 3 teas came to £21 !!!!!!! Not value for money at all. Lady who served us was polite enough and apologized for the wait as she was on her own serving and cooking. Won't be back.

Rubish place to order😡 I bought a coffee table and I paid for delivery so they said in 3 to 5 working days going to be in your address… I haven’t heard from them for 5 days then I called them even they couldn’t find my order in their system and after been long on the phone with them, they said ok, it’s bee soon with you , it is really disappointing about them, even they are expensive and law quality…..

Huge store with everything you could imagine from furniture to food to plants to rabbit cages. Staff are friendly and it is easy to get lost in here being amazed at the wide Range (😉) the store offers.

  • 4/5 Philip S. 10 months ago on Google
Good selection of products, however, does not have everything that's advertised.

A bit pricey compared to h&b, b&m which are both nearby. Good range of products though and handy having an iceland instore. Cafe is nice

Omg so many thick people working there on the tills its unbelievable. Not enough staff whilst they all rely on one manager who is on customer service. Talk about staff with no personalities

  • 3/5 Hari B. 10 months ago on Google
Huge free parking space and lots of items on great prices but to much hassle when you change your mind and return the items. Customer service asked too many questions 🙄

Couldn't stay long as my autistic little boy was overwhelmed by the crowds, noise etc but planning on coming back soon. Very large shop with brilliant offers and everything you could think to Eve need on one place including a cafe - because its so big you could easily be stuck The Range time warp and lose a few weeks of your life so the cafe is a must! Only problem I personally found was the trolleys as we didn't have a coin and usually staff will help get one but noone was able to help on this day. Hopefully back soon to do a Christmas shop, I noticed a great selection of Fire Engine toys that we will have to purge as the littlest is obsessed!

Attended The Range at Edge Lane the store manager was so helpful, understanding and accomodating of my error with wall paper. I have been numerous times and the staff are always so helpful and I always see the manager helping customers and the staff. Great place to shop

We got 2 LED Lighting for bathroom and living room in The Range and the same lights in other places were twice as expensive...they got some great bargains there and the staff are very very helpful. Will defo be going back for a good look around and would highly recommend the Range to everyone

  • 5/5 Jason S. 8 months ago on Google
Can't fault the Range, it's dece. But you gotta know what you're after before you go. The edge lane one is dece for DIY and home ware, but you wanna go Aintree if you're after garden stuff. This one gets bonus points for havin a dece little cafe and an Iceland.

The shop itself is a bit tatty and doesn't appear to stock anything Home and Bargain or B and M don't stock. Also it's not cyclist friendly! On my first visit I found nowhere to lock my bike so had to go to Home and Bargain and lock it there then walk back. The car park has hundreds of bays and even if just one of them was converted to a place for locking a bike there'd be space for 6 bikes.

Enjoyed buying some reduced Christmas item's ready for next year! Place is really big and had a lovely cafe there. It was situated just on the edge of the city. Also there is another retail park next to The range with TK MAX on it.

Dangerous place to take my wife, im bankrupt everytime we leave there, only went in for 2 cushions - came out with a new living room. Great range of products, prices okay, pricing labels are either missing or incorrect though. Iceland and the cafe is convenient bonus. 😁

The best poor customer service we have every experienced. Visited store on Saturday 14 August approx 3/3.30 pm. Took a parasol from the shelf to customer service desk to find out price and dimensions. The person on duty was far too busy talking to a customer friend about life, her kids, social life etc, she did however glance sideways with "I'll be with you in a minute luv" (code for I'm finishing my conversation before I serve you!) eventually she couldn't help anyway. We took the rest of our shopping to checkouts, here too the operator was busy having a chat to 2 male colleagues about where they went last night and where they were going tonight, zero interaction with us at all, never even looked our way when giving change and receipt out. No sign of any management, supervisor or leader anywhere it was basically a free for all. Left the store totally bewildered.

  • 3/5 Kerry P. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing shop but some products are really pricey considering you have shops next door that sell the exact same but at a cheaper price. Some of the staff can be really rude, unfriendly and have zero customer service at times, Management should take note of this as it lets the shop down. There is also hazards around the store at times with stock everywhere, this could be done when the shop is closed.

  • 4/5 Justyna K. 2 years ago on Google
Shop is really nice and loads of great bargains. Staff on the tills could be little more focused on customers and little less on chatting between each other. Other than that it's definitely worth going there.

  • 5/5 Mitzue_cookies O. 2 years ago on Google
Love the range, it's got a brilliant selection of household and garden items as well as a cafe and Iceland. Only disappointment is that I wanted a chest of drawers but they didn't have what I needed.

  • 1/5 RJ 2 years ago on Google
Easily the worst ever departmental store I have had to deal with. It is like the staff here wake up every morning and swallow some aggressive pills before they start dealing with customers. Shouting at everyone, raising voices, prices on the shelves are never the same as prices when you get to the till. When you try to return something it’s very rude service and their eyes follow you around the store because their default setting is like you are up to no good. Will definitely avoid

  • 4/5 roy g. 1 year ago on Google
Great selection of housewares. My wife and daughter love the place! Only downside was the cafe. We bought bought burger and potato twirls and two cups of tea £15.70 for two people!!!! The burger could sole a shoe and the bun was that dry it crumbled in your hand. Once bitten twice shy there I'm afraid.

I always enjoy going to the Range, Always getting what we went in for along with other items that catch my eye, whilst there I can also pick up the shopping needed as Iceland is under the same roof . There's plenty of parking and a ramp for easy access, the staff are very helpful.

Much better layout and stock level compared to the st helens store, though a lot of empty shelves...

  • 3/5 Laila A. 1 year ago on Google
I went to do some shopping and look around with my daughter, I was trying to look for something and I ask a colleague she didn't know 😁 I then was hungry so I though we had time to eat at there cafe called dee dee ! Oh boy this cafe was empty no wounder it was quite! I order Jack potato only 1 left , so I said to my daughter she can have it. Then she ask for coleslaw on side none left 😕so I ask for hot meals , sorry we have none 🤨so I could only ask burger? She finally said yes!! If I was working there I need at least to working in front, also hot dinners must be provided from 12_4pm. I would smile and welcome people 😊 overall manager needs check it out 😁 next time I just go out for meal unfortunately 🥺

BIG. Wide selection of homewares. Food section. Garden section rather ordinary. Iceland store on-site: standard selection of frozen food, well presented. Iceland Bonus Card points not available.

  • 1/5 Paulina S. 1 year ago on Google
Yesterday I bought 2 packs of outdoor Christmas lights and unfortunately one of them was broken. When today I was trying to change them for new- working one I heard that “ they are not out lights”. After checking on shelf I was their lamps!! They are rude, they’re selling not checked items and they don’t even know what they have on their shelves! It’s a parody not a customer service. If I could give 0 stars I’ll definitely do it.

I asked a worker for the stick on led lights and she said I'd find them by the lights. Didn't bother helping direct me to the exact place so I circled the lighting section a few times. When I'd gone to the range in aintree I found them by the tools section not the lighting section
