I wouldn’t bother going here for the opticians. I called because I was 5 minutes late (because of some new traffic lights outside of Buxton) apologising and letting them know that I’d be there in 2 mins and they refused to fit me in because the optician “wanted to go home”. It wasn’t even 4pm and they are open until 5pm - they refused even though they knew I’d driven for an hour to get here. I’m off elsewhere and will be taking my subscription and monthly payments with me!

I called in yesterday to report a problem with glasses I had purchased from Boots over 2 years ago. I was met by Chris who quickly identified the defect in the frame and agreed to remedy it for me at no charge. The issue was remedied speedily (30 mins) in a very polite and courteous manner. One very pleased customer.

A very helpful young man called Chris helped us in our time of need when our daughters glasses became broken with a very fiddly spring screw. He swiftly tended to them and even gave the glasses a good clean too! Thanks Chris

Excellent service from start to finish and with a really good range of frames to chose from. Stephen rang me when my glasses were ready and I called in. Chris fitted them for me and had to do a few minor adjustments. Excellent service from him and apparently he's a trainee. We'll I think he's passed his course. Thanks again

Visiting friend had glasses break. Buxton Boots opticians offered appointment next day. Went along and all sorted. Person there, very proficient young lady, Georgie, identified the model of frame, looked it up, identified that they had one in-stock, swapped over lenses and charged a price which reasonably reflected the "water-and-tear" already run-up on the specs since bought. ie. my friend and I felt he had been very fairly treated. So he would commend Boots Opticians and commend the Buxton branch for proficiency.

I visited Boots Opticians in Buxton and had a very comprehensive eye test meaning I needed 2 near pairs of glasses. Chris was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable and helped me choose the frames to suit me. He answered any questions I had and explained everything really well. On my return visit to have the lenses measured, Chris again was very helpful. Highly recommend Boots in Buxton for their service and professionalism.

I had my annual eye test today with Jane. She took time to make sure that I understood all aspects of the tests and encouraged any queries that I had. Chris then supported me to find suitable frames which met my optical needs but also my personal choices. He was knowledgeable and very helpful. He gave me time to come to a decision without pressure. The information he gave me helped me to choose a frame I liked, but also one suitable for my needs. He was reassuring, friendly and very professional.

All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, Chris helped my husband sort his glasses out. Georgie and the lady who is very experienced in sorting your frame out, was brill but can't remember her name, it was at the Buxton shop. All the opticians are good and picked up on my cataract. Your eyes are precious. Thanks to them all.

Great service from my appointment to collection very happy with what ive got, staff were great in helping, chris was amazing with his knowledge, rate him highly. This guy needs more credit, been in again today just to have my glasses tightened, just that little bit more goes a long way. Chris thank you again

An efficient very pleasant service. Chris fitted my new glasses. He has a very pleasant personality, was very careful, checked everything and made sure I was happy and understood.

Although I had already had my eyes tested a few weeks earlier I had struggled to find some new frames at the store where I had my eyes tested. The selection of frames at Boots opticians in Buxton was good and varied. Both the ladies I spoke with in store were very helpful and patient. They helped me to pick suitable frames for my prescription that I was very happy with. I was due to move house in the New Year and they offered to send my new glass to the local branch where I was moving to if they were not available before I moved. I am happy to say that my new glasses were available quickly and I was able to pick up from the Buxton store before I moved. I would highly recommend the Boots opticians in Buxton!

My 10 year old had a thorough and friendly eye test with Paul, followed by three appointments with Seb. She struggled to get to grips with contact lenses, and he was wonderful with her. So patient, kind and encouraging; exactly what she needed and I was very impressed with his way of teaching. His aim was clearly to make her feel confident and at ease and she finally did it today! I visited Boots Opticians in Buxton on 7th December with pair of glasses with a broken frame. Steph found me a pair of identical frames and swiftly moved the lenses over. She was very helpful and efficient and even adjusted another pair of glasses I was wearing. The whole visit took less than 20 min. So a big thank you to Steph and Boots Opticians!

What a lovely experience on this visit to my local Boots, every member of staff I came in contact with was very pleasant and allowed plenty of time to choose and the opportunity to ask questions. It was apparent they all work well together and it showed.
