The OG Jigarthanda shop in Madurai. We would witnessed many Jigarthanda shops with the same branding across TN, but this is the 1st shop and was originally opened in Madurai. You can easily find the difference in Taste and Quality of the Jigarthanda provided here. OG for a reason! The best part is they give parcels to other cities also. Incase if you want to carry it to a longer distance, they pack them accordingly in an ice box for which they charge some additional fee. It can survive for 20-24 hrs inside the box. Only con is the Parking. It is located in the most busiest junction, hence parking cars will be really next to impossible. Otherwise, if you are someone who wants to try the original Madurai Jigarthanda, then this place serves the purpose. Cost: ₹35/Mini Serve or ₹70/Regular Serve; Basundi cost around ₹70/Serve

Not sure if I am an expert to review Jigarthanda because I haven't tasted it before. But tried here and it was good. No complaints. They have two varities. Mini and spl. 40 and 60 rs respectively. The place is on the corner of a main junction and it is always crowded since this is the famous Jigarthanda place. They have a big hall next to the shop for people to sit and relish the dish. Overall a good experience. Felt that it got over soon :)

Very good drink especially at summer It was my secong time having jigarathanda that too at it authentic place first i had their normal one which is 60 rs which comes with an icecream and a little of milk guva This drink basically makes your body cool, hence a great drink to beat the heat in summers. Served chill with special dessert and icecream. If you are a sweet lover, you must try this once, authentic to Madhurai City Of TamilNadu They ever serves icecreams

This is said to be the oldest Jigarthanda Shop in Madurai. Located close to the Meenakshi Amman Temple street. It is almost crowded any time of the day. The taste is superb and we won't get this taste from other similar shops in Madurai. There is some special about this place and one should taste it themselves to realize. They also offer take away bottles. Very well designed bottle to hold the special soft drink and it gives the same feel of having it in traditional glass tumblers. I am a big fan of this soft drink, especially from this shop :D

We did not like it at all. It was not that good in taste. Very sweet, we could feel the sugar in it. Don’t know if authentic Jigarthanda taste like this or something else. That’s all.

While looking for ice-cream parlour, we came across this store. This super special Royal Falooda was a superb delight. Different, multiple layers, tasty and fulfilling. Must stop shop in Madurai. They also offer snacks and other kulfi varieties alongside ice-creams. They also have sitting space. Bang on the road. Close to JC Residency Hotel.
