It's a blessing to visit the temple. Being one of the Jyotirlinga you can also take this place as a hill station as well. So many resorts are also available in the close vicinity of the temple. Currently road construction job is going on , so you might get a traffic stuck but hopefully the work will be completed within 5-6 months.

Such a glorious temple but ruined by the management. Temple is completely surrounded by local shops and other small temples. The temple is made up of stones and it is really in good condition. On the day when I visited this temple there were lot of rush, few of the people ask me to pay and get the darshan directly without queue, this is really disgusting as their local people made it as their business. No management inside the temple there were many people getting direct darshan and we literally wait for almost 3 hour for the same. Also the steel queue has gap in between and few of the people are taking advantage of it just breaking the queue and getting inside. Lot of garbage and plastic bottles around the temple. This is one of the Jyotirlingon and management should take care of it.

Went early morning at 5 am from squirrel resort. Once you reach near temple climate gets foogy. Private vehicles are not allowed to go near temple. You to have to park vehicle almost 2 km before temple. ST buses and local vehicles are made available to reach temple. While going we walked 2 km to reach temple.

We visited this place from Pune and took a road via Chakan, Nasik Highway. Road was pretty good except for few stretches which are under construction. The temple had a weekend rush but was bearable. There was a queue and one has to go down to the main temple with shops aligned on both sides. There is no proper place to keep the footwear and there is a confusion as each shop tries to pull you in saying there is no place to keep the footwear and you will have to return. The temple is quite old and Shivling is all covered in Silver - so nothing more than that is visible. A live TV camera outside constantly relays the diety and the happening around it. There are plenty of monkeys on the path downstairs. Better to hide the eatables or they snatch it. And one more thing in COVID we plan a trip to bhimashankar 🤣😆😛

Excellent and devoted place for people who all have faiths and believes in Lord Shiva. U can enjoy driving on little curve roads to reach there. Also has near about 150 downwards steps to reach temple. Can enjoy Sandhya arati and have wonderful environment in evening view hill top area.

This is a Holy Temple of one of the Twelve Jothirlingas. This temple is situated in a valley like place. This temple is around 120 Kms from Pune. Google will say you can reach in 2 Hrs, but if you travel in a cab, the actual time will be 3 1/2 to 4 Hrs. But the drive is very scenic. Since we traveled in October we had glimpses of good flower welcomes. In a stretch of about a kilometer or so both sides of the road was lined with beautiful orange colour flowers. Another stretch with full of tiny greenish yellow flowers. The scene was very eye catching. To reach this temple you have to travel on the hill to a height of around 2,600 feet and then climb down around 150 steps. Car parking is about half a km from the steps. Steps are easy to use, because the arrangement of steps is very cleverly planned. First two steps, then plain for 10 feet. After the plain three steps, then 10 feet plain and so on. It is very easy to use these steps even for elderly people. For people who need real assistance, Palki walas are available. Mobile, camera and water bottles are not allowed. No dress code. You can go near the God, touch , bow and get his blessings. No pushing or harassment. You can take your own time to pray Him. Pandits never press for tips. You can have a peaceful and happy Dharshan of God. During return, on the steps you will find lot of shops selling Original Kalakand. This sweet is made out of fresh milk and ghee. Since plenty of real milk is available, they never use stored milk. The taste of this sweet will tell you its quality. You can buy it and consume it there it self. If you want to carry it with you, you have to be very careful. Because the entire area is flooded with lot of Monkeys. In fraction of a second, they will snatch your bag. One can have a very peaceful and wonderful Dharshan of Lord Bhima Shankar in this temple.

Bhimashankar Tourism Bhimashankar, located about 100 km from Pune and 223 km from Mumbai, is a popular temple town. It is among one of the twelve traditional 'Jyotilingam' shrines of Lord Shiva in India. Bhimashankar is located in the village Bhorgiri in the ghat region of the Sahyadri range. Situated at an height of around 3,250 feet, Bhimashankar is surrounded by hills and is covered by thick green rainforests. Legend has it that the name Bhimashankar was originated from the river Bhima which evaporated due to the generated between the war of Lord Shiva and the demon Tripurasura. It is considered to be one of the holiest places in India because of the jyotirlinga. Bhimashankar is also a popular destination for trekkers. Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary is another important reason why people come here.

A beautiful temple located in a beautiful place. The drive to the temple is filled with breathtaking sceneries. One needs to park the vehicle at the parking lot and then take a bus to get to the temple. An entry fee of Rs. 40 is charged per person, and the bus ticket is worth Rs. 10 per person. There is a very big que to go inside to see the Shivling. During holidays or weekends the waiting period may go upto even 2 to 3 hrs at times. The crowd is not very well managed by the temple management. During rains the devotees end up getting drenched even when there is covered roof. Inside the temple one does not even get 2 secs to look at the Shivling, the temple authorities forcibly push the devotees. Having said that, the temple is believed to be very powerful. One must surely not miss visiting this temple when given a chance.

It's a serene and lovely place to be in. The Jyotirling is exquisite and made entirely of silver. The temple itself is gorgeous and pleasing to the eyes, also you feel some amazing energies pass through you. It's located among the nature's lush green environment. Indeed I'll recommend you'll visit the place. There's delicious sweets sold here along with butta or sweet corn is available that you'll may really love having. Thank you.

Jai Bhimashankar.. it's a divine taking darshan of beautiful Shivalinga with a carve on the Linga, it usually is covered with silver couch, but worth watching it's true form during abhisheka. One of twelve jyotirlinga in India, it is located in thick dense forest surrounded by hills and road from Mancher to this Sri Kshetra is just awesome. It's also an place of origination of River Bhima. If you are planning for a stay, then MTDC/private resort/hotels on the way but little distant to this place are better options, as there are no standard stay options after entering this area. Ample parking space. Renovation work in progress to maintain temple beauty and history. There is an option for ₹150 dakshina that we write on envelope our address and they will send the Prashadam. Be mindful to pray the Lord and watch the beautiful Linga. Jai Bholenath

What a spectacular Jyothirlinga it is. Not so crowded when we visited. The route is pretty good and need to get down few steps to reach the temple. It’s very peaceful inside the temple. Entire road is so good.

This location is a remarkable destination to discover, characterized by a delightful ambiance that radiates positivity. It offers a deep connection with nature and a close proximity to the esteemed deity, Lord Shiva, resulting in a profound and embracing experience. Note: People can take 500 Rs VIP Passes from the counter near temple to cut short the time for darshan.

Embarking on a journey to Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga was a profound and spiritually enriching experience, Situated amidst the scenic beauty of the Sahyadri Mountains. Don't visit on weekends long queues, pass 500 per person. No Management no one is looking for the general queues, temple management focus is only on getting more VIP passes. If you still have a VIP pass you have to face some uncomfortable situation near Gabhara, so crowded , only your waiting time reduces to 1 hour. On weekends general queues take around 3-4 hours.

Puja and Darshan in garbh grih is best in the morning between 5.30 to 6.30. Now a new approach path has been constructed, therefore only 50 steps are required to be covered. Further the original stepped path is being covered for all season comfort especially during the rainy season.
