Came here for wine tasting and rooftop dining experience to celebrate a birthday. Our family arrived at 4:15p and was told that the rooftop food service stops at 5:30p. When we made it through the wine tour and onto the rooftop, it was about 4:45p. The hostess was extremely rude saying the kitchen closed at 4:30 and when I tried telling her the front door hostess stated it closed at 5:30p.. she dismissed me without even looking at me and continued saying the kitchen closed at 4:30. She proceeded to say that she was the hostess and was also food running and can't do anything about it.. she wasn't willing to hear what I had to say and was very condescending. When we were finally seated, the hostess went behind the bar to gossip with her peers about us. It gets better.. when I spoke with a manager named Zane about this horrible experience, he said it's a "work in progress". We eventually left shortly after being seated because we felt so unwelcome. I get places are short staffed and likely having to make things work and I'm super reasonable but sometimes folks need to take a minute, listen and arrive at a compromise. There was no service recovery offered in this situation, even though I wasn't looking for that. We are truly disappointed in San Sebastian and I'm sorry to say that we'll never return here again!!

Yes, this is a great place for tourism. It is a trolley stop. They have a free tasting and tour for any wine lover. However, even if you are a St Augustine local. This is a wonderful place to visit and lounge with a few friends. Especially on the weekends when they have live music. While you are eating in the rooftop bar, be sure to have the pretzel with beercheese and baguette with dipping oil.

This was the highlight of my stay in St. Augustine. Since moving to Jacksonville, I always said that I must check it out. I'm glad I did. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. But most of all, I enjoyed the free wine tasting plus the $5 tasting for three glasses. It was a great experience for me, and when I'm in St Augustine, I'll visit again.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant with a view of the water. Nice breeze and has live music depending when you go. Food is AMAZING. Fresh made ketchup, great savory sauces. We ordered the espresso rubbed beef starter and the Turkey Provolone Sandwich. They distill their own wine and there is a wine tasting on the ground floor. Fast service and food came out fast too!

Great find in St Augustine. Lots of roof top seating and inside too. They close at 6 pm on Sundays just a heads up and restaurant closes at 4 pm on Sunday. Beautiful views and nice wait staff. You can take the tour of the winery before heading up to enjoy a glass or head straight up to relax. All different wines are served. A nice way to relax at night away from the hustle of downtown but still walking distance to all the makes St Augustine special. Enjoy!!

Great tour of the winery and tasting. Rooftop seating for eating and drinking often has live music and nice view! The wine is on the very sweet side due to the muscadine grapes, so the Rosa is my personal favorite.

Free tasting to start. $5 optional tasting on the roof. Great restaurant with a grilled cheese sandwich that is only available at dinner time. Many local wines to choose from. Great time and great atmosphere.

We sampled 8 wines to choose from either dry or sweet. Sweet was my favorite even bought a bottle. The dessert samples were to sweet for me. After which, for $5, 3 more samples then chocolate. But, we forgot our glass which is given to take home. We did not want to walk around with it on our trolley ride. There is a restaurant above for dinner. Did not get to go up to there to see the view. You can purchase and return later or the next day for pick up.

A very nice self tour, samples and gift store. Plenty of California AND Florida grape wines to try as well as some local fortified wines. The hosts are very friendly and willing to help answer questions. It does get pretty busy by noon to afternoon. We got there when they opened at 10 am and had a great and leisurely time.

I love this place! Free wine tasting (the extra special Porto is extra $5 but worth is) of some really good Florida wine. Lunch at the Cellar Upstairs is really nice. Open with live music Thurs- Sunday. Lunch Menu is pretty limited but the Wedge Salad and Burger are exceptional. Winter is Mulled Wine season which really warms you up! If it’s a pretty sunny day, nice views of some inland water ways. Also got the French Baguette and Beer Cheese - a little salty today but still good. Ask for Zoey - she is the best server/bartender EVER!!

I had so much fun doing both the free and paid for tastings here! It was crowded, but I never had to wait long and never felt ignored. Everyone who was serving the wine was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable too. Really superb spot. Both the tasting as well as the bottle I left with were fairly priced. I would definitely come back and bring friends!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting San Sebastian Winery in Saint Augustine, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The tasting tour was a highlight of my visit. I had the opportunity to try a variety of their exquisite wines, each one more delightful than the last. The staff guided me through the tasting, providing interesting information about the different varietals and the winemaking process. It was a truly educational and enjoyable experience. What sets San Sebastian Winery apart is their convenient on-site shop. After the tasting, I was able to purchase my favorite wines to take home with me. The selection was impressive, offering a wide range of wines that catered to different tastes and preferences. Beyond the exceptional wines, the winery's ambiance was charming and inviting. The beautifully designed space, filled with oak barrels and traditional winemaking equipment, added to the overall experience and made it feel like a true wine lover's paradise. I highly recommend a visit to San Sebastian Winery in Saint Augustine. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or simply enjoy a good glass of wine, this winery offers a delightful experience that will leave you wanting to come back for more.

Very nice place to spend a Sunday afternoon. You get to taste 8 different wines for free and then you can pay $5 to try 3 more wines, bigger portion. If you go to the 3rd floor, you’ll be able to drink wine and eat, if you’d like, on the rooftop.

This is one of our favorite places to visit. We love going through the wine sampling tour. Afterwards, we stay on the second floor and pay $5 each for the wine tasting. You can choose dry or sweet - both have two different glasses to start and both finish with the sangria. It’s one of the best deals for tasting wine and every glass is wonderful. For the sweet side, they serve a piece of Brix dark chocolate with the port wine. Every employee we have talked to have been so friendly. Don is one of our favorites to speak to and last night, we met Andrew who had a wealth of wine knowledge. We came back later in the evening to listen to the live music on the rooftop. I finally tried the Blanc de Fleur which is their sparkling wine and it did not disappoint. We will keep coming back every time we are in St Augustine.

Such a fun experience! My wife and I came here for the first time and had a fantastic time. We loved the wine tasting and our time on the 3rd floor, where we enjoyed a nice cheese board, drinks and great music! Our server Abby was the best. Amazing wine, snacks, and personal service! I highly recommend this winery!!! We had a blast!

San Sebastian Winery stands as a revered and long-standing establishment nestled in the heart of St. Augustine, Florida. Renowned for its diverse wine offerings, ranging from reds to whites and sparkling varietals, this winery has become a staple in the city's cultural tapestry. Visitors are treated to more than just a selection of wines; they can partake in complimentary tours and tastings, immersing themselves in the art and craft of winemaking. What a lovely time we had! We plan on coming back during the week for a guided tour! The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. I never thought of myself as a wine drinker, but I’m coming around thanks to my trip here! 😍

We tried to go here for the wine tasting but we ended up being too late, so we took a seat upstairs to hang out. The place is on a first come first served basis and the outside seating area was filled up so we stayed inside. We ordered a few glasses of red wine and a glass of sangria, which were all very nice. Along with these we got a charcuterie board and an order of bread and dipping sauce. The board was delicious and had a great combination of cheeses with meats, along with jam and mustard (that was thankfully not too strong!). The bread was also crispy and soft, and accompanied the board perfectly. Our only observation was that it could use something fresh like grapes along with all of the savory flavors to balance it out. The dipping sauce was also nice and the same baguette came with this separate order. With several people I recommend ordering both dishes in order to get more bread to share, as it worked out for us! The place has a nice atmosphere and is great for an evening with friends or a date. We will definitely be back for the drinks and the delicious charcuterie board, and hopefully the wine tasting next time!

Started off with small free wine tasting and tour. It was cool because you got to go upstairs to multiple stations. The 3 sweet wines upstairs were my favorite. Staff was very nice and we went to the rooftop afterwards for some sangria. The view was nice and it was cool. They had some live music playing. Very nice vibe. Will be back again.

Very cool venue. Live music is very enjoyable and the roof top view is fantastic. The red wines are smooth and rich in flavor. And definitely try the chucutery board. Very delicious. Enjoy 😉

Spent a few days on St Augustine and came to this winery for the wine tour. It was a lot of fun. It's a beautiful winery. Staff is very friendly. We decided to also do the paid wine tasting which I highly recommend and was very good. It was a lot of fun to taste all the various wines. You get a wine glass to take home with the paid tasting. It was a wonderful afternoon. Would highly recommend and will return.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our time here for wine tasting. The wine tasting is free and you can pay a little extra for an extended tasting. Very nice people.

We were a bit late, but they squeezed us in for the tour. It was a nice tour, and wine tasting. We both discovered a new wine that we like. Afterward we went up the restaurant. It had a cozy atmosphere, and live music. Our waitress was very nice. The BLT was tasty.

If it wasn't for the gorgeous wines you taste for free, this might only rank 3 stars for me. I believe pre-Covid there was more of a "tour", now it's mostly shuffling between 3 tasting stations where you get a small measure of some lovely local wines. The store is worthy as a local wine store and I'll be coming here for Port for sure!

Great rooftop hangout with some delicious wine! We had the 2 different sangria’s and they both were fantastic. They had live music that was great for the atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but there were only 2 servers for the whole side of the rooftop and they were packed so all things considered, they were excellent. You have a great view of the top of the taller buildings downtown, the harbor, and West King from up top. They also offer tours and tastings daily, great place to go if you’re visiting the Nation’s Oldest City!

GREAT PRICES on the local made wine and tasting of the wines from California. Bought a case and lots of extras for under $200 which is unheard of. Nice staff, genuine, not pretentious. A definite stop to make if you're visiting.
