Went to celebrate my birthday 🥳🎉🥂 and it was a lovely spot. The lighting was dim, the food was tasty, and the whole experience was spectacular. Food pictured: Lobster Mac, Housemade Seafood Pasta, Brussel Sprouts, and Banana Foster 😋 My friend and I met CW herself as well as her family. She was delightful. I love the three huge canvases of Josephine Baker hanging on the wall by the piano 🎹 and drum set 🥁. Those were my absolute favorite. Our waitress was extremely helpful and very attentive. She is a magnificent person with a great heart❤️.

Great place to grab a drink or a nice dinner. Probably the most extensive Gin list I’ve seen locally. A ton of flavor profiles to choose from if you are a fan or a novice with Gin. The food was amazing. We had oysters to start and our duck and grilled cheese entrees were perfect. The atmosphere is dark and moody but also has a lot of energy. Be sure to make a reservation as space is somewhat limited. If you are in downtown Tampa do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed!

This spot has the most lovely ambiance! We have loved every bit of the live music + throughly enjoyed the service every time. Each time I’ve visited, the servers have been beyond courteous + knowledgeable. The drinks have always been lovely; however, in my opinion, the food lacks something to be desired. My meal the last time was the Caesar with chicken. The chicken wasn’t especially well seasoned + came with the bones still inside, which made it hard to manage on the salad. Beyond the meal, everything was beyond lovely! We will definitely be back for drinks + music sometime soon.

What a great experience! The drinks were fantastic, food was great, and staff was friendly. We were seated a whole hour before our reservation time and the service we got was great. Our bartender wasn’t having the greatest night you can tell but his night got better as the night went along!! The food was really out of this world! Great portions sizes and flavor combinations. Would definitely go again.

We love this place! Have been many times! The hosts are amazing, they were able to sit my wife and I rather quickly, even when we did not have a reservation. The drinks were great, of course! Our dinner was quite enjoyable, we had the portobello fries, shrimp bisque, raw oysters (fantastic!), the seafood pasta, the catch of the day, and the coconut creme brulee. Our only miss was with the catch of the day, it was a dish with scallops and asparagus, unfortunately it was too salty for my wife to enjoy, but it was nicely prepared, hence the missing star. They did comp half the dish, which is okay I guess, we tasted two of the scallops, same results. In any case, we had a wonderful time!

Went with some ladies from my book club. The lighting is dim and cozy and the food was good! I have to go back with my hubby. Tip: do the valet for $10 parking instead of parking across the street $20 (on a Sunday) or find street parking if you can.

Went to the Gin Joint for a few drinks after dinner! Was recommended by my brother and it did not disappoint. I first had an Old Fashion was was very good! Then I had a whiskey sour which was just as nice. Mixed drinks were between 12-15$ each. Bartender was very nice and very accommodating. Take a visit when you are in Tampa. If you want sit down I would make a reservation or take your chance at the bar! Be ready to stand if you don’t make a reservation.

It was my first time at the establishment and I must say it was well worth the experience, live band, drinks were phenomenal and the Ambiance was amazing! I had the old fashion drink and sherry lemon chicken that I was skeptical about bit it turned out to be very delicious. If I could give it 10 stars I would!. Plan on going back very soon.

We brought a friend here from out of town and loved everything about the experience. The ambience was stylish and modern dim lighting during dinner, being serenaded by pianist, and wonderfully engineered drinks. The servers are amazing and coaching you through your experience and recommendations will be wonderful for your pallet. I can't wait to go back again, this was just awesome 👏

My husband and I came here before our show at the Straz and what a real treat. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by the hostess and a gentleman will open the doors and show you the way in. As you walk in, the room is dimly lit throughout with beautiful chandeliers throughout the space and the walls decorated with interesting artwork, which makes it a very intimate and romantic atmosphere. We ordered a couple of drinks (Espresso martini, old pal, queen bee) and several dishes (angeled eggs, grilled octopus, short ribs and the brussels sprouts). We loved the vibe, the food, and service. We definitely plan on coming back for more drinks and hopefully some live music.

I am SO impressed with this place!! We had the “Peaches be Crazy” (pink drink), CW Old Fashion, and our bartender, Justin, made us 2 specialty drink with plum bitters, monkey shoulder gin, and ginger - and it made me tear up! Genuinely, a BEAUTIFUL culinary experience. Would 10/10 HIGHLY recommend this place. Brussel Sprouts, Oysters, & Truffle Purple potatoes are also very excellent!

What an upscale lavish establishment. You walk in, and greeters open the double doors for you, making you feel like royalty. You are welcomed by a warmly lit, glamorous decor. The whole ambiance is stunning. I ordered a purple rain martini, and it was impressive. The appearance was gorgeous and the flavors astonishing. It was probably the most elegant experience hands down that I ever had out for cocktails. We tried a few menu items. I ordered the mushroom risotto, and my husband ordered the lobster mac and cheese. Delicious. The piano player was a nice, stylish touch. The staff were all so welcoming and attentive and wanted you to enjoy the ammentities. We will definitely return when back in the area. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and excellent service! Maria was our waitress and she was the sweetest! She made sure the kitchen knew about my gluten allergy and suggested a modification to the bananas foster dessert so it could be gluten free! We had the oysters, octopus, lobster potato (genius), drinks and dessert. 10/10 would go back!

Everything about this place was good! The service, valet, food, atmosphere. I am glad we chose it for our 10 year anniversary and Mr. Joey was great to us.

Great date night celebrating my boyfriends bday. It was a Saturday night, and super busy, so I was very glad we had a reservation to be able to get a table. The bar was crazy full. Logan, our server was great. Drinks were super delicious. Live music was also very good. Great atmosphere.

We had an amazing dinner last night. Our waitress Jamey was wonderful. She definitely knew her stuff. We didn't know what to order for drinks and told her to surprise us, letting her know what we usually like. On both the drinks she brought out we absolutely love. She definitely made the night special. Food was good and the drinks we great. The service is even better. Thank you Jamey for the great experience.

Drinks are great. The ambiance is great. The bar service is borderline rude. The bar is too understaffed to allow for any quality interaction. Don't ask for a recommendation of one of their 75 gins. Don't tell them how you want your drink to be made. For the best experience, know exactly what you want, order quickly and don't ask any questions. That way you can enjoy everything else nice about this bar.

Grown and sexy place with art on the wall, live music on Friday. It’s pretty busy around 9pm - 11pm so if you want to sit and enjoy your meal, either make reservations or you’ll have to grab a seat at the bar or you’ll be standing all night. I got the purple potatoes for an appetizer which were pretty good. And for my main entree I chose catfish & grits, I was really disappointed in the fish because it had NO SEASON, cooked to perfection but no season. But we still had a great jazzy night.

This place was awesome and worth the long RSVP wait lol We went for date night on a Saturday evening and doors were opened for us, everyone was extremely professional and pleasant to work with. We had an amazing waiter (Josh) too! I did not specifically order a single gin drink; I shared preferable flavor profiles, he brought back drinks 3x, and each time they didn't miss! They also have way more than gin to offer. The food also did NOT disappoint. We ordered the catfish & grits, shrimp & grits, and shared the banana fosters dessert because the entrees were so filling. The dessert was also exceptional. I don't have a single complaint about this place and am looking forward yo my next visit!

Great eclectic restaurant in downtown Tampa. Ate there for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. The ambience is pretty hip and funky. The food was really good and our server Josh was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the history of the restaurant

Venue: Pretty boujiee joint. Nicely decorated. Lot of seating at tables or at the bar. Live music is being played. Very busy though, hard to get in on the day without reservations. Food and drinks: just had some apps and a drink, didn't really order much as we had already eaten. What we did order was alright, nothing special but not bad either. Drinks menu was nice though. Service: pretty mixed - our waiter went MIA and no one else was really able to take our order or get us the bill it seemed. They were great at the door though

Only went for drinks but the Old Fashioned & espresso martini were great! We will be back to eat & make it more of a night! Really cool atmosphere in here! Like you went right back to the 20’s!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary last weekend. Our server, Scott, was outstanding! He was attentive, knowledgeable, sincere and a joy to have helping us! Our meals were hot, delicious and very nice portions! I am looking forward to our next visit and I highly recommend CW's to everyone

I may be a little bias because I am a gin girl. Great atmosphere, great drinks and right in downtown Tampa. Bar top is first come first serve and typically reservations are required for tables. There is live music on Fridays and Saturdays, so what’s there not to love. There are a lot of vegetarian options for appetizers but can’t speak on any main courses as I haven’t tried them.
