I was looking for a different place to have lunch. It was early in the day and we beat the crowd. Cool atmosphere and they have live music at night. It has an artsy feel. Food came fast and was very good. They have the best bloody Mary’s. If you like it spicy then you need to come here. I would recommend this place.

If we were local we would totally be here all the time! Great bar w/ plenty of patio seating and super awesome staff, like Alanna, Tom, & Steven! We came down from Atlanta for a week at the beach and turned out that Tim Cappello (the sax player from The Lost Boys) was performing the night we got in so I had to go #bucketlist!! The concert was amazing, including a local group Alpha Quadrant who performed before Tim. The sliders and cheese curds are amazing and plenty of drink options. Restrooms were clean, there was plenty of parking w/ the side lot, and overall just a great place!

Went to the hooch for divorced dad night on July 7th. Got there at 7:45 and was told there was a $20 cover which I knew about ahead of time so I was fine with it. Ordered some food which was awesome, burger slider, chicken slider, fish slider, and fries. I was impressed when Ricky, the bartender, remembered my order from last time as I hadn’t been there in a month or so. Well it turns out that is where the magic stops. The event wasn’t a band, but it was $20 for a Dj…I mean come on. I’ve seen bands here for less than what they were charging for a Dj. Not to mention “Dj” is a loose use of the term, it was a 90s Spotify playlist that they pressed play and walked away. Not to mention the poster and events page didn’t mention they were a Dj. I thought I was seeing a band doing covers. If I wanted to see a Dj I would have stayed at home playing the songs myself. By 8:50 nothing was happening so I told my friends that we’d leave, we went to the people collecting covers at the door and asked for a refund and they said well the doors open at 8, but the show doesn’t start until 9. Again probably should mention that on the events page. The people at the door tried to play it off like we were crazy for asking for a refund. It was an awful night and I’m very disappointed as I’ve normally had good experiences here. Be wary of their “live events”.

What a great little find. Everything was fantastic! The drinks, food, live music, all top notch. I had the duck/waffle slider. Creative and delicious! We went at Happy Hour, not too crowded. We will go back!

Love this spot, the night market they have is one of my favorites not too packed, incredible vendors and the food and drinks. Great date night chill vibes.

We showed up to grab dinner and a few drinks and Hooch and Hive was mostly empty. A very grumpy employee marched over to our table, didn’t greet us, and asked us if we were here to see the band that hadn’t even set up yet and that we needed to immediately pay a $13 cover each or leave….we didn’t know there was a band setting up and he made it seem like we were supposed to know the whole line up for the night. We felt extremely unwelcome and the employee was beyond rude. We live a few minutes away and we definitely won’t be back.

Everything here is so unique :) Best sound system of the Bay for a reason the musical acts are absolutely phenomenal. The food is so tasty it's just delicious you can eat super healthy you can eat vegetarian you can be a meat eater and have the duck on waffle... And the coconut curry cheese curds I must have :) Large covered patio with fans everywhere so nice and breezy overlooking a fabulous field downtown. Sit inside at a large booth or sit at the bar and plug into USB port and get your work done on your laptop. The staff is just amazing ~

Crazy good jazz music and vibes Sunday Jazz Brunch; old time good jazz. Service was good and attentive. Food left a lot to be desired, but that's just me. I would certainly say the menu is creative and interesting, not necessarily in a bad way, but just wasn't working for me. I had the chicken and waffles and it was not the best I've had, I eat them a lot, but it wasn't horrible. I liked the grilled taste of some of the waffles with honey, but they were a bit too crispy for me. Though it tasted interesting with the spinach on top, with the one piece of chicken added to the mix, it didn't taste like a great match. The shrimp and grits was interestingly good and different . Will certainly return again to give it a try or mainly just enjoy the Jazz.

My all the time favorite place. I love all of their food and vibes/energy. Brussels sprouts/truffle fries are my go to always. Staffs are very kind and friendly 💓 + Dog friendly, I bring my dogs here sometimes and they always gives so much love on my pups. They are also very supportive for artists/musicians.

Came here to see a friend's band play last night. Great vibes, I ordered a signature drink that was just ok for my tastes, but the food is surprisingly good. You have to try the street corn empanadas and cheese curds, you won't regret it. Overall a great experience and would go back again.

Greetings, Dean the General Manager definitely has a sweet gentle soul. He was very kind to me during my short employment there and in my time of needs. The establishment is beautiful, food is fresh and really really good. The Sangria is my favorite! I absolutely love all the hippies, artists, and beautiful artwork! A+ ✅ Best wishes, Gena G IG: the_hippie_masseuse

I went for Happy Hour with a friend. Great friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. We had the seasoned fries, the roasted brussels sprouts and the wings. The drinks were generous and a good price. Parking was easy with a great location.

I would give Hooch and Hive a 4.5. I really enjoyed the place, it's a good bar with live music. The waiters were super nice, but the service wasn't good that night I was there - maybe bad luck. The food was really good, but I wish they had more options.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and live music. I paid a cover charge the night I was there but I don't know if that applies on all nights. Of course the cover charge helps pay for the local live music.

This place is INCREDIBLE and so beautiful. I brought my crew here for my birthday and had an amazing time trying out different items from their bar, kitchen, AND café - which were all delicious. My favorite was the Bake and Wake drink, a beautiful liquor medley infused with CBD. The amazing Zamira made it and it tasted like chilled heaven in a glass. I've never had a drink described so well by someone so inviting and friendly. Thank you so much!

I went here for brunch on a Sunday, and it was alright. They have a DJ outside playing deep house music. We ate inside, the menu was small, but they are more of a bar with bar food, so their brunch menu is kind of the special menu. The food was okay. I had steak and eggs with grits, they don’t ask how you would like your steak. It wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better. Their drinks are kinda pricey, especially for a mimosa. But I do recommend this place if you’re looking for something to do on a Sunday, just maybe eat beforehand. Haven’t tried their regular menu throughout the week, so I might go back to do so.

Hooch and Hive is another local favorite. Their drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are so friendly. Often have live music, but I will say it’s always just a little too loud even when you’re outside you can’t hear the person next to you.

We really dig this place! We went to Hooch And Hive for the first time the other night to see RM Johnson & The Tomcats (excellent real blues players) and we loved it. Nice atmosphere, good drinks, and great live music are all we could want from a bar. They don't have a lot food (burgers, etc.), but what they do have is good (the French Toast bites are excellent too). PS: No relation to RM Johnson. LOL

Cool venue for live music and drinks! Went during one of their event nights, this one posted is Glam Night. Hung out to get a bite to eat and they have a nice menu of classic bar foods with some cool ingredients intermixed. I got the truffle fries (not pictured because I devoured them) which were good. They have a full bar with speciality cocktails on the menu and non-alcoholic bevs, too! The staff was nice and accommodating, where I asked for adjustments and I ended up making one of their non-alcoholic bevs, a pickled lemon lavender lemonade, into something harder with a shot of my liquor of choice. Great ambiance, attentive staff. A cool gem in Tampa, looking forward to going again. Paved lot parking around the building, kinda limited, but I think street parking is available in the area if you look at signs posted.

Riki and Andrea are great, always live music when I go which is fun, then a silent movie with subtitles ranging from Godzilla to Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas plays in the background. Outdoor bar seating so you can smoke. If I ever opened a bar, it'd probably be identical in composition. Oh, and $3.50 Happy Hour specials..can't beat it. Wife and I go every week.

We've only been here during School of Rock recitals, but the food and drink are very good. It's more difficult to gauge the service, since the place is packed shoulder to shoulder during recitals. Super cool that they host these students!

And inclusive local hangout, with a full bar, yummy menu and live music. We love that they are open early now and offering coffee, tea & pastries. A nice spot to post up to work in the mornings or meet friends for happy hour or late hour. Also loving the Jazz Brunch on Sundays. Good vibes all around!

I attended a new artist showcase at this venue. Its a calm and intimate scene. I would recommend it for more future events. While there, I had the street corn empanada and cafe con leche, which was delicious 😋. They know how to make my tummy smile.

I've been here multiple times. The music is great, the bartenders and servers are phenomenal and the food is pretty too. One of my favorite spots in Tampa.

Brought to women here on a Saturday night to watch the live music, foot and drinks. It cost $10 per person to get in. The owner and the manager out front collecting money. We're very awesome. They were very friendly and the food was good. They even had vegetarian and keto friendly options for one of the women. They made a friendly cocktail. Definitely a great place to go for live music and entertainment. We had a great time and will definitely be back again with more of our friends. Thank you for the experience!

Not a lot of indoor seating but outdoor seating options are good. Speakers are outside to allow you to hear the band. Well priced drinks and food. Cheese bites are tasty... Clearly made from scratch. Bartenders are very fast and efficient with service. No table service outside.

The impossible slider was good. It a only one small patty on a larger piece of French bread, but a great choice! I ordered sweet potato fries, which were amazing., so thin and not too crispy. I had the Bee Enlightened for my drink and that was delicious!

Interesting indoor/outdoor venue. Good bartenders and music. Visited in afternoon, which was nice for just hanging out. Lots of signs up for music events, so seems like its really comes alive in evenings

The curry cheese curds, street corn empanada, truffle fries, and Brussels sprouts are amazing! We also ordered flights. Everything was super reasonable prices and generous portions. We brought our dog and hung out on the patio and the staff was so sweet and brought her a water bowl.

Check out this cool new spot Hooch and Hive. We took our evening walk and a nice music from DJ JASK drew us in. Then we walk inside and discover that it's a really cool new spot. And the best part? Aside from it being walking distance? They carry Xander beer from Bay Cannon Beer Co.!!!

Very cute and welcoming environment. Super inclusive so everyone can feel comfortable. The drinks are delicious and there's plenty to chose from. They close earlier than other bars which is the only downside. Often have live music and art events. It's tucked away near University of Tampa but it's definitely worth it. Very nice variety of drinks, even offering porters which most bars don't have much to choose from.

I may be biased because I know the management and perform here occasionally, but the food and community vibe are really the stars. H&H has a unique and extremely tasty menu - familiar dishes like sliders, wings and street corn are reimagined and offered alongside innovative dishes like a brilliant take on Brussels sprouts. It's extremely vegan-friendly and the beverage/cocktail program rules. After dark, enjoy live entertainment of all kinds, from acoustic acts to hip-hip or DJs.

Nice little hidden gem!! The food and drinks were excellent, despite the service being a little slow. Love the outdoor seating. The way staff were friendly and the prices reasonable. Highly recommended!!
